Do use a handbag still

Since paying by phone has taken over and less use for cash or cards I never seem to use a handbag. Off I go with just my phone and coat with various things tugged in pockets. But I feel that I need to re-organise my self. Do you still have handbag, purse, phone all separately? The last purse I used was a massive spotty cath kidston one!

I always have a bag. I feel awkward without one. I also like to swap them around dependent on what the weather is like and what I'm wearing.

Atm my go-to bags are small Mulberry crossbody styles. They hold my bank cards, Oyster card, phone, kindle, pen, nail file, comb, keys, lipstick, lip balm and a tiny eyeshadow palette.

The litmus test of a handbag for me is that it MUST have room for a kindle. If I can't squeeze that in then it's not fit for purpose.

A night out yes but rarely in the day

@totalnamechanger - some posters on here are oddly holding a line that only grab bags or the sort of bags carried in the cruck of the arm count as hand bags, cross body bags, tote bags, rucksacks, laptop/messenger bags don’t count.

in my experience, most woman arrive at work carrying a bag of one shape or another.

God, I must be ancient... I take two bags when I go to the office!
One canvas tote with my laptop/lunch/notepad in, so as not to overstuff my actual handbag, and also a leather bag with all my 'personal' bits and bobs - make up, tissues, purse etc etc etc, so that when I go out at lunchtime I've got everything I like to carry and the bag is still part of the overall outfit...

People who don’t use a bag daily. Do you go to work out of the house? Where do you put your phone, keys, money etc? I don’t always take a bag if I pop to the shop to grab milk I’ll just take my phone. But usually I have a cross body handbag with purse, brush, paracetamol, lipstick, a reusable shopping bag etc

I WFH so no work stuff to carry. I only usually carry around my phone and a single house key so easy to fit in a pocket or hold in my hand.

It seems like I am in the minority in that I never brush my hair again once I am out.

I guess it depends on your hair length and style and what you’re doing in the day.

I don't brush my hair again until bed time, I don't reapply my makeup either as it lasts all day. Lipstick is just too much hassle and comes off on glasses or bottles. My car is full of shopping bags so don't need to keep one in a bag and if I use one I tend to chuck my purse in a hessian shopping bag. If I'm walking to the shop I'll use a hessian shopping bag and put my purse and keys in that. Sunglasses live on my head if I'm out and about.

The only time I use a handbag these days is if I'm going somewhere like work or out for the day or dinner.

Me neither for both. Actually I don't brush my hair again until next morning (I have short hair)

Well some people have long hair and some people do things after work and need to freshen up . People have different lives and needs!
