I quite like spending a fair bit on jewellery/beauty so the BD is working well for me. But it's frustrating how I buy something from there and it vanished from their website the next time I want it but is still easily available elsewhere

Part of the reason I am sticking with it for now is that I can't find another subscription that appeals. But would love suggestions!

Cyclingmummy1 · 18/02/2024 18:36

I really like Haeckels @forcedfun I'm considering cancelling everything and just buying what I need when I need it but I love getting surprises through the post 😆

Yes I can't really go shopping due to illness so I find the boxes help me find new products and are a nice lift.

Just looked at Haekels. Seems nice if you like vegan type stuff and I like that its UK made. I use Pai so I’d consider it as a change of ‘box’ service - They’re not accepting new subs at the moment though.

I like the surprises too. Just buying what you need isn’t as much fun, and if I did that I certainly wouldn’t use Liberty and get to feel all fancy!

Cyclingmummy1 · 19/02/2024 09:52

@OooScotland I like that it's UK made and they are very focused on recyclable packaging. They often open for new members towards the end of a month, I suppose when they know they have enough stock to meet demand.

Ap24 · 19/02/2024 11:06

Thank you to whoever recommended the net-a-porter kit! I received mine this morning and it's brilliant. I'm not so keen on the bath salts but everything else is lovely!

pharmachameleon · 19/02/2024 13:29

How does the Net a Porter kit work @Ap24? Is it a subscription service like Liberty?

CornishPorsche · 19/02/2024 14:58

@pharmachameleon no, it's just a standalone purchase the PP has made.

CinnamonCoffee · 19/02/2024 14:59

@Ap24 I received mine too and love the bag it came in.

@pharmachameleon it's a one off beauty kit. Contents worth £££ for £55 with p&p. I posted link a few comments back.

Ap24 · 19/02/2024 15:25

@pharmachameleon sorry I should have linked it. It's this https://www.net-a-porter.com/en-gb/shop/product/net-a-porter/beauty/samples/plus-joanna-czech-beauty-kit-2023/1647597310433208

@CinnamonCoffee it's lovely, far nicer than I was expecting.

It is nice, and a decent price, but its got one of those infernal 111skin masks in it that supposedly cost £15 each. To me they’re just cheap filler.

CornishPorsche · 21/02/2024 09:39

I've finally opened the hair pomade to try it and the smell is just awful and going to trigger a migraine if I use it 😂

I know lots of others loved it though, so if anyone wants it I'll post it to them! I've opened it but not touched it.

There's about 130 of them on Vinted at the moment, so no point in trying to sell it!

SwordBilledHummingbird · 21/02/2024 09:45

@CornishPorsche I gave the pomade to my niece and she had the same issue. She woke up in the night after using it with a banging headache and streaming eyes and nose. So it's been a resounding failure here.

Pigtailsandall · 21/02/2024 10:16

@CornishPorsche If it's going, I'll take it. I gave mine to a colleague with long curly hair and she loves it! I bet she would love a second one too. She's using it daily

CornishPorsche · 21/02/2024 11:01

@Pigtailsandall if you want to PM me an address to send it to, I'll get it on the way tomorrow!

The Caroline Hirons Facebook group posted a pic of Caroline going to Liberty’s……potential skin rocks incoming? Will be gutted if any samples in next box as cancelled mine

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 21/02/2024 13:06

I’ll be gutted if there are any as well, but because I’ll wait for the box and then cancel. 😀

I've never used any Caroline Hirons product and don't even know what skin rocks are, so if there are any in the next box I'll happily send them to you if you like?

VoleChomper · 21/02/2024 13:34

Caroline Hirons irritates the bejiggins out of me. And her new skincare line looks ridonculously overpriced.

It’s not something I’ll be buying in Liberty. Or anywhere else, for that matter. Im
sure it’s well formulated and good,
but am not a fan of the aesthetic.

Hoping for perfume samples. It will be my last box.

Absolutely agree - she doesn’t come across as nice.

CornishPorsche · 21/02/2024 13:54

I don't get her. She's not a dermatologist or anything similar as far as I can make out. Wiki says she's worked for Aveda and SpaceNK in shops? She claims on her website to be "trained in over 100 brands" - brands of what? Mascara and eyeshadow application or soap and cleansing milk?

So she's another influencer with very little science behind her is that right? Or am I missing something?

listsandbudgets · 21/02/2024 14:42

Finally got round to trying the Liberty Tudor perfume from advent calander. I love the scent but like lots of you really unimpressed with how long it lasts - probably 2 1/2 hours tops. Certainly wouldn't buy it at full price for that reason.

I've decided to hang on and see what the April box is like and believe me it had better be a good one or I'm out. To be honest I've found a number of products I do like with the boxes and enjoyed experimenting with others so I'm willing to pay a bit. I do hope they start wrapping items - I've not had any broken yet but they're just slung into the boxes without much care so far as I can tell.

Wictc · 21/02/2024 15:33

Does anyone know of you can use the beauty drop vouchers at Maria Tash for piercings? I can’t find it on the website?
