New thread, thanks for the brilliant title suggestion, as ever!

Side view much better, agree the hat is too much.

DisforDarkChocolate · 21/11/2023 13:32

I think I might shed a few tears of joy if Catherine wears a new tiara tonight.

AllTangledUpInTitlesAndTiaras · 21/11/2023 13:33

Me too!!

I was idly wondering earlier today that if Camilla has now upgraded to the Girls of Great Britain and the Regal Circlet, are her Duchess of Cornwall options now with the Princess of Wales? I can’t see Kate in the Cartier honeycomb tiara, but maybe the Delhi Durbar?

(But what I really want is Victoria’s oriental ruby tiara!)

I might join in with the crying if we get the Oriental Ruby - it's stunning!

gingercat02 · 21/11/2023 13:48

Woweee! Love that Kate, dramatic and different. I'm all for that ❤️

DisforDarkChocolate · 21/11/2023 13:55

I'd like to see her in the Vlad with the emerald setting and the green off-the-shoulder green evening dress she wore a year or two ago.

AllTangledUpInTitlesAndTiaras · 21/11/2023 13:55

@Serenster The Oriental Ruby is the one I want her to wear! I do love the emerald drops in the Vladimir and as pp said it would suit Kate's colouring so nicely, but I think the overall style is too similar to the Lover's knot; I'd like to see something really new and different.

Serenster · 21/11/2023 13:55

Bah. It’s Queen Mary’s Russian Sapphire brooch (again). One day she’ll wear the Prince Albert brooch….

hopeishere · 21/11/2023 13:57

Do you think they will keep to "current" tiaras to avoid criticism of all value of the stuff they have in the vaults?

I'd love to see both of them (and Sophie) in something we have never seen before!

AllTangledUpInTitlesAndTiaras · 21/11/2023 14:00

Yes. Poor Sophie.

DisforDarkChocolate · 21/11/2023 14:19

There would be more than a few happy tears if Sophie was to wear a good tiara. I would probably need to lie down and refrain from writing a letter of thanks to the palace. Go on Charles, we all know you love the sparkly stuff to be worn.

Kakibob1924 · 21/11/2023 14:36

its all a bit robey

themessygarden · 21/11/2023 14:51

I think it is dreadful, the cape, the hat, probably THE worst outfit I have seen her wear.

The dress looks very nice on its own and the colour really suits her.

Yes @Kakibob1924 you nailed it. !

DuchessOfPort · 21/11/2023 15:03

Cardinal Catherine! I can’t say I love it but I do love the flash of leg against the demurity (is that even a word?).

Maireas · 21/11/2023 15:23

The red is lovely, but I'm not too sure about the style, but it's got impact and it's nice to see Kate trying out different styles. She looks very elegant. As does the First Lady, although, unfortunately, it's grey 😞.
We've only seen Kate in the Cambridge Lover's Knot or the Lotus Flower tiaras , so the Burmese Ruby or the Vlad would be brilliant.
Girls of GB&I for Sophie, I say.

KillingMeDeftly · 21/11/2023 15:25

I think the cape without the giant bow and hat would be ok. But put together it's all too much!

MrsLeonFarrell · 21/11/2023 15:26

I like Catherine's outfit, mostly I think because the colour is amazing and it isn't another coat dress. It's a bit different and I like different, maybe her "uniform" isn't as fixed as I thought.

AllTangledUpInTitlesAndTiaras · 21/11/2023 15:43

But HMQ wore GoGB&I just recently didn’t she? Or have I imagined that??

If Cam is wearing it I don’t think anyone else will.

I’d love something old out of the vault for Sophie!

SqueakyDinosaur · 21/11/2023 15:50

I think Sophie would suit one of the Fringe tiaras. But they're quite grand, and she can't upstage Cam or Kate, so they'd each have to have a whopper too.

The one that Eugenie wore for her wedding is another stunner and it just seems sad that there are so many that sit unworn for literally decades at a time.

Serenster · 21/11/2023 15:56

Queen Mary’s sapphire bandeau would be lovely! Last seen on Princess Margaret.

Maireas · 21/11/2023 15:58

Nice.
Yes, the Queen did recently wear the GB&I one. Still. The late Queen's fringe tiara would look good on Sophie.

whiteshutters · 21/11/2023 16:00

I love the red on Kate even although it is a bit Handmaid's Tale.

eggandonion · 21/11/2023 16:03

Princess Margaret was stunning. Do the York princesses have permission to rummage in the jewellery vaults...they could probably reuse some of what Margaret wore. I assume she used the collection as well as her personal items.
Kate is certainly looking striking today.

Eaumyword · 21/11/2023 16:06

Ooh Kate, I love it! Sexy Mary Poppins!
