£500 M&S order - want to know what I bought?

I know I’m not the only one who thinks M&S are having a great season so thought I would share my huge order - see the photos in the post below. It’s a mix of work wear and casual wear.

I’ve chosen pieces that will work with my version of a capsule autumn/winter wardrobe and will compliment the following items that I seriously love:

Bottoms
Hush leather culottes
Dorothy Perkins leather pinafore
H&M high waisted black trousers - I sized down for a more fitted look
M&S Black leather leggings
Primark midaxi leather pencil skirt
Primark black slip dress which I will wear as a skirt

H&M brown/grey sweater

Some stuff is sold out or doesn’t have any links because it’s old. Please can you share what’s in your capsule wardrobe to give me some ideas!

Leather trousers with polyester lining. Sounds quite hellish. It will be hot and uncomfortable

@Goodornot i bought those leather culottes last Christmas after someone raved about them on a MN thread and I absolutely love them!

To each their own but I couldn't wear them.

@Limth I found them too baggy in the leg so sized down. The waist has hidden elastic on the inside (so not visible from the outside) which means it’s still comfortable in a smaller size. Here’s a photo of me wearing them. And in case anyone else wants to knit pick I put a pin in my shirt to stop it gaping 😂

I had some black M&S leggings a few yearsago that were normal stretch fabric but with a leather stripe just down the sides- I wore them so much they fell to bits !!

@anon2022anon ooh I love those! My base colour palette is neutral and I prefer to add colour in shoes and accessories so those would be perfect. I’ll have to see if I can find a version with a supportive sole as my feet hate me when I wear normal flats.

I saw them and had to choose between them and the full leather ones.

I love M&S leggings, they’re very flattering.

@Limth it had just been vacuumed 😂. I’ve just noticed that the colour palette of my decor matches my wardrobe, I clearly like what I like!

What about the rest of the items? She's bought what she wants I don't see why she needs opinion. It's like these YouTube haul videos : look what I bought.

Honestly primark, Dorothy perkins and hush , h&m etc isn't something I'd ever wear.

But she likes it so I don't get validation required. Opinion before you've bought it maybe but an assess my haul in so insta influencer territory.

@2jacqi well my DH is a fan and I like the look of fitted leather with oversized sweaters!

I think M&S are having a really positive moment just now. Lots of black there @Mumsanetta, but will make mixing and matching really easy. I think you will be able to make lots of outfits with those. Just want to add, M&S are brilliant for reasonably priced belts, I'm wearing the leopard print one right now. Hope everything fits and brings you joy.

@DwightShrutesgirlfriend yes lots of black! I quite like champagne and camel as well but tend to work those colours in in tops.
The M&S belt was recommended on MN and I’m really excited to see what it’s like! What are you wearing the leopard print one with?

Some lovely items there. How about a chunky knit to go with the leather leggings? M&S have some lovely ones this season - I have this one which comes in lots of colours.

@TogetherWeLearn i’m 5ft3 and size 16. I tend to wear the trousers with chunky trainers or a heeled shoe/boot as they are a bit long.
