Can you tell I’ve had lip filler?

Basically what the subject asks!
I’ve had lip filler a few times over the last three years and I love the look. I’d like more done to go bigger but then sometimes I catch a glance of myself and think it looks really obvious.

I really want to go a bit bigger but I’m nervous. Can you tell I’ve had filler? Would I start to look weird with more?

I wouldn't have thought you had lip filler, but I don't think you need any more - you look great. I love your hair colour too.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 13/10/2023 11:16

Totally agree with @RavingStone Your old lips were beautiful and unique. You now have ubiquitous ‘fillet lips’. And more filler will only detract further from your uniqueness.

Lovethatforyouhun · 13/10/2023 11:21

Filler doesn’t dissolve, fake news! It migrates and very quickly from the lips as they move so much.

wildwestpioneer · 13/10/2023 11:44

I always think it's amazing how critical we are with our own bodies and see things that others don't.

Your natural lips on my opinion are gorgeous and wouldn't have done anything to them. Mine I think are crooked and awful,

BreatheAndFocus · 13/10/2023 17:37

Your natural lips look wonderful. Having seen that pic, I’d leave the filler forever personally. Your lips look worse with the filler IMO.

Daffodilwoman · 13/10/2023 18:08

I wouldn’t know you have had lip filler.
However I wouldn’t have any more put in.

TweedTart · 13/10/2023 18:15

I wouldn’t have guessed filler. It’s very subtle. Don’t go bigger - your lips have a nice shape now.

<as an aside> I get ‘accused’ of having filler constantly as I have a naturally larger/shelf-like upper lip. It’s tiresome.

Puffypuffin · 13/10/2023 18:25

Yes you can tell, I think filler gives lips a certain 'look'.

Noicant · 13/10/2023 18:30

They look nice, I wouldn’t think lip fillers at first glance. Absolutely do not go bigger it won’t look as good.

Back21970 · 13/10/2023 19:48

i don’t think it’s obvious, quite natural actually.

Don’t get more done - perfect as it is.

Agreed.

I think it looks ok from the front, but you need to have a look at your face in profile/ slightly from the back (get someone to take a video or a picture). This is when it become very obvious with lip fillers.

AlfredaTheGrape · 13/10/2023 20:30

If I saw you in the street in passing it wouldn't be obvious to me that you had, but when scrutinising your photo, yes you can tell. It's not to do with how big your lips are in the photo, it's a telltale look around the lips. Yes, you will start to look weird if you add any more. You probably looked absolutely lovely with your natural lips and could look weirder as you get older anyway because lips that have had fillers rarely go back to exactly how they started. The more you do it, the worse it'll get. I wouldn't be so rude as to say any of the above unless you had asked, which you have, so this is my opinion.

Sheraprincessofflower · 14/10/2023 11:35

Just seen the pic of your natural lips - OMG, so much better! They were beautiful! Leave them be - they were gorgeous. And a bigger bottom lip is lovely.

WhereAreWeNow · 14/10/2023 11:48

Agree, your natural lips are really pretty. Prefer your natural lips to the pic with filler tbh. I wouldn't change them if I were you.

avocadotofu · 14/10/2023 11:51

Yes.

wasaloner · 14/10/2023 11:52

See now I absolutely LOVE the imbalance of a fuller bottom lip.

ditalini · 14/10/2023 11:52

Your natural lips were perfect, but they look fine with the filler.

DON'T get more done - it won't look better and from what you're saying it also won't make you satisfied to leave it at that.

Gowlett · 14/10/2023 13:11

When the top lip is fuller, as in the pics another poster added of a beauty salon after picture, that’s always a huge giveaway. That sort of lip shape is unusual in Caucasian features.

WhereAreWeNow · 14/10/2023 14:51

I suppose one question to ask yourself OP - maybe you already have - is how much will be enough? I think it's very hard to maintain perspective with some of these things and you're already thinking maybe I need just a little bit more" even though your lips were lovely to start with. How will you decide it's time to stop?

Gnomegnomegnome · 14/10/2023 15:00

I’m really rubbish but I wouldn’t guess. If anything I would be tempted to try it if they came out like that.

(I really like your hair btw)

Deathraystare · 14/10/2023 16:36

It doesn't look obvious but please don't put any more in.

I loathe the look and have been watching Married at first Sight UK where most of the women sit there with their mouths open (does it make the lips heavy or something) so they look really stupid.
