Can you tell I’ve had lip filler?

Basically what the subject asks!
I’ve had lip filler a few times over the last three years and I love the look. I’d like more done to go bigger but then sometimes I catch a glance of myself and think it looks really obvious.

I really want to go a bit bigger but I’m nervous. Can you tell I’ve had filler? Would I start to look weird with more?

What in earth are you on about @Myfabby?
Very strange response to pp.

I can tell. My lips are naturally similar in shape to yours.
They’ve lost volume as I’ve gotten older, still a nice shape.
But, it’s reason why I can always tell the difference when I see lip-filler in younger women. It’s often subtle, but it’s there.

givemeasunnyday · 13/10/2023 02:49

Yes, it's obvious. I wouldn't go any bigger.

Bigcat25 · 13/10/2023 03:22

Pretty obvious. I would probably tone it down from what you have. Filler can distort the line of the face and make the face look more angular than nataurally full lips, which can be aging. You're young so this probably won't apply, but filler can accentuate the fine lines that go from the nose to the side of the mouth.

ToughLoveLDN · 13/10/2023 03:53

The line you have is from migration above the lip. It’s what creates the little crease. It’s from overfilling and just having filler for some time.

Thanks everyone! What’s concerning me is that line on my right upper lip. It wasn’t there until the last time I had it done and while I don’t mind it right now, I would if it got bigger!

If I could guarantee the line wouldn’t get worse I’d go for another 0.5ml but that line is really putting me off!

Don’t do it. That “line” you’re talking about is a filler ridge. It might still soften or go away since you seem to just have a very small or soft one right now. If you add more filler, you could end up with a filler ridge above your entire upper lip which is what leads to really obvious looking filled lips or even the dreaded duck lips. Right now, it’s still fairly natural or at least looks like well-done filler. But that line is definitely “the sign” that it’s time to stop, unless you want the super overfilled look. When I looked up filled lips and filler ridges online, I was shocked to see there are still some places advertising photos of this as if it is the goal to achieve, not something to avoid. I would definitely want to avoid it, and it sounds like you do as well. But the photo I’ve attached is from an actual business that does lip fillers advertising a “job well done.” 😬

Can you tell I’ve had lip filler?
Madwife123 · 13/10/2023 04:19

Yes you can tell. It’s migrated. It always does eventually and gives that tell tale line on the lip border.

Having any more filler added will make it worse. I would leave them alone at this point.

Appleblum · 13/10/2023 04:43

Yes it's pretty obvious. I wouldn't go for a top up now. You can probably wait for another 3 to 4 months and see how it is.

Bigbrotherpropoganda · 13/10/2023 04:46

Yes.
Its obvious

Topsyturvy78 · 13/10/2023 04:57

Don't go any bigger if you remember Lesley Ash trout pout in the 90's.🤔

Oh thats not fair, I remember when it happened and the "practitioner" didnt use the proper filler and it reacted with her cells. She has made a big thing since about saying that if you have stuff done, make sure you look into who is doing it and what they are using.

She just wanted a bit of plumping and it ruined her life.

PurpleFlower1983 · 13/10/2023 05:20

Yes I can tell but it suits your look. Don’t go any bigger though!

Missingmyusername · 13/10/2023 05:23

Don’t go bigger.
Agree normally from the side you can tell, the line above the upper lip is a give away- again I’ve scrutinised and you’ve told us so…

As lip filler goes you could be a may be/may be not.

sashh · 13/10/2023 05:42

It's a nice photo but what does it look like without the make up and from different angles.

I gave up on watching the apprentice earlier in the year but in the couple of episodes I saw all the women looked ok to beautiful face on, but then when they were doing tasks or in the boardroom they all had the 'trout pout' and the ones that had also had their cheeks done it was even more pronounced.

Have a look at some of the pics.

First candidate fired by Lord Sugar in latest series of The Apprentice

In the first episode, the 18 candidates jetted off to Antigua to create and sell excursions to tourists.

Nannyfannybanny · 13/10/2023 06:04

Yes, I could tell

Rightsraptor · 13/10/2023 06:11

I'd definitely suspect filler if I saw you out & about. Please stop now.

ShippingForecastSnooze · 13/10/2023 06:18

No more op.
It looks fine. But stop.

Sheraprincessofflower · 13/10/2023 06:19

yes, that’s obvious filler but it doesn’t look bad (I think lip filler looks awful on 95% of people who have it done). Don’t go bigger.

CasaAmarela · 13/10/2023 06:21

I think it tends to be more obvious from the side. It looks nice but I think it would look bad if you got any more. How many mils have you had out of curiosity?

Olika · 13/10/2023 06:33

Yes. You lips look great so I wouldn't go bigger .

Firebug007 · 13/10/2023 06:38

You can absolutely tell, I wouldn't have any more hon.

megletthesecond · 13/10/2023 06:41

Yes. But they're not "second glance" awful like some. Don't do anything else.

Willyoubuymeahouseofgold · 13/10/2023 06:45

Yes, because of the swollen shadow on top lip. It's leakage apparently

DurhamDurham · 13/10/2023 06:45

They look great in that photo, but you can see a slight ridge on your top lip which might look more obvious from the side.
