Can you tell I’ve had lip filler?

Mydogisamentalist · 12/10/2023 23:05

Basically what the subject asks!
I’ve had lip filler a few times over the last three years and I love the look. I’d like more done to go bigger but then sometimes I catch a glance of myself and think it looks really obvious.

I really want to go a bit bigger but I’m nervous. Can you tell I’ve had filler? Would I start to look weird with more?

Stop there. You can just about get away with it now but you can see the telltale swollen bit at the edge of your line and they’re ever so slightly lumpy.

This was such a great post until you tainted it with misogyny
Where's the misogyny?

The definition of misogyny

person who hates or discriminates against women : a misogynistic person. striking women at what misogynists see as their most valuable characteristics: appearance, sexual purity, sweetness and submissiveness.

I hope that helps?

2023shady · 13/10/2023 00:43

I don't think people can always tell. I was told mine were lumpy and had a giveaway ridge etc. I've never had fuller

No, it doesn't.
I know perfectly well what misogyny is, thanks. I don't see any evidence of hate or discrimination in that post.

Minime88888888 · 13/10/2023 00:51

Yes.

Stravaig · 13/10/2023 00:53

Yes, I can tell, it's already obvious.

CesareBorgia · 13/10/2023 00:57

Yes - there's a sort of line above the top lip that people get when they have filler, and I can see this on yours. Your lips look very nice, though.

ObsessedWithZach · 13/10/2023 01:01

No, it doesn't.

The poster decided to inform OP that the men she knows don't like lip filler. Why did the poster think that would be important to the OP?

The poster went on to say that men smile and nod to keep the peace...wtf?

This poster clearly thinks that women should be thinking about whether their appearance is pleasing the men around her, why is that?

If you don't see what is wrong with the post then there's no helping you.

You clearly don't. If you cannot recognize that women have free will over what they look like and someone recommending they submit to 'men's standards of appearance is blatantly misogynistic. I suspect you are just being obtuse, which is amusing and irritating in equal measure.

Titchyfeep · 13/10/2023 01:12

Your top lip is so red that it almost merges in to your piercing so it’s really obvious. I won’t go any bigger unless you want to really draw attention to your fake lips.

Actually, although I am a fellow (ha!) hater of misogyny, I think you are misunderstanding the point the pp was making.

An awful lot of young women worry about their appearance because they want to appear attractive to men. Plus ca change! Its the basic biological imperative to want to attract a mate. Sadly fashion seems to be telling young women that the best way to do that is to look in a mirror and see a "starting point" that they can change. They decide that whatever they dont like about themselves (maybe thinner lips, straggling eyebrows, fine eyelashes) makes them unattractive. Thats because the models have full lips, perfect brows and long swishy lashes. So they pay people to "fix" these things thinking it will help them look more attractive.

Old farts like me (50) who have learned, telling these women that (normal) men will see the picture of the model and think "oh she looks nice" but actually finds REAL women with REAL bodies, REAL personalities and yes REAL flaws, attractive, is doing them a favour! Its not misogyny to tell a woman that they dont need to change themselves to attract men.

However, I would add that to tell a woman that she shouldnt worry about what men/women/other people think of them if they are happy doing what they want to their own bodies, is a good thing too.

Saschka · 13/10/2023 01:19

Yes I can tell and no you shouldn’t go bigger.

You look good at the moment, but risk tipping over into trout pout if you add much more.

Hippobot · 13/10/2023 01:22

Yes, it's very obvious and already looks weird like an allergic reaction/bee sting.

Brokendaughter · 13/10/2023 01:23

Yes it's fairly obvious.
No it's not awful, but if you make them bigger again you might start to look bad.

I think people who do this get so used to how they look in the mirror they start not being able to see how much larger they've already made their lips.
Maybe find a picture of yourself just before you got them done the first time & compare yourself to that, so you can see how different they already are.

Your lips look nothing like this womans, but she's obviously lost all perspective on how they look (& looked very pretty before doing this).
I don't think anyone believes her lips as they are now would suit any human face.

Woman with 'world's biggest lips' wants more filler to make them 'much bigger'

Andrea Ivanova began getting lip fillers back in 2018 and has since spent thousands to achieve her goal of having the 'world's biggest lips' - but she still believes her lips are 'not big enough'

But thats where it tips over into mental health issues. The vast majority of women, I agree, have a bit of an enhancement and lose sight of how they used to look. I also agree that a pic of the OP pre filler might help her keep in mind that her new "normal" doesnt need further enhancement.

The woman in that article reminds me of Lolo Ferrari (Lola?)....the woman on Eurotrash who wanted her claim to fame to be that she had the biggest enhanced boobs. She was ill, that much was clear. Katie Price sort of went (is still going?) down the same route. They think that the natural them is so crap, so needing of improvement no one will love or want them without it.

Counselling for anger issues is easily avaible both online and in person.

And I dont need your permission or indeed approval for my comments on the rationale of a young womans choice of what she does to her body. I simply want her to do it for her own happiness and not in a misguided attempt to follow the "rules" she is told she must follow by popular media.

And I personally find the use of "young lady" misogynistic.....its an anachronistic term that I find patronising. So.......I fixed that for you :)

PyongyangKipperbang · 13/10/2023 01:46

Oh and FWIW, I have body mods myself. But thats the point, it was for ME......it would break my heart for women to do it because they feel that they need to otherwise she would be deemed ugly. And if you think that that isnt a thing....do your research.

Gorgeous lips, I'd kill for these! They are perfect, please don't go any bigger or it would be obvious

IMarchToADifferentDrummer · 13/10/2023 01:52

Phew!! I hesitated to come and see, thinking you were going to have huge lips, but you're fine!
They look beautiful as they are, but please don't go too big or you'll spoil your naturalness and just look silly.
At this size, they look very natural!!

carruj · 13/10/2023 01:55

Yes you can tell -when I looked closer though .It looks fine but please don't go bigger .I see lots of young women who have it .It's obvious and usually is not a good look .Yours looks nice and quite natural at this size.

You need help my love.

Towerofsong · 13/10/2023 02:12

Yes I can tell you've had fillers but they look lovely, it has enhanced the shape. If you go any bigger it will be too much, in my opinion.

Agree with this. Really on the borderline of parody.

As my da would say, "quit while you're ahead."
