Thanks for the new thread 😊 I’m starting to look out winter clothes, and work out which I can no longer fit in want to rehome (once new owners have been vetted that is) and which are keepers.

Thanks for the new thread @ToastCosILoveIt.

I’m also loving that orange sweater. But I already have two orange sweaters. The grey is also lovely but I think it would wash me out. I will definitely try both at some point though.

I have the grey and it’s stunning, really can’t wait to wear it …

faustina · 26/09/2023 21:30

Thank you for the shiny new thread @ToastCosILoveIt . I always love it when it's new because it isn't slow as treacle

Only just started thinking about coats - still 23 degree here today. I have done one thing though which was to take my favourite coat for its dry clean - picking it up tomorrow. It's quite thin, can't remember the wool content but quite high, from the first Lemaire/Uniqlo collab and it's like putting on an old friend - still looks as good as new!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 26/09/2023 22:05

Thanks for the new thread @ToastCosILoveIt we’re still at a balmy 22° here so no thoughts of winter coats yet.
Loving the orange jumper on you @AFingerofFudge .

lordloveadog · 26/09/2023 22:30

Has anyone tried those flower mountain trainers? What's the width like?

ilovecherries · 26/09/2023 23:02

ToastCosILoveIt · 26/09/2023 20:53

@ilovecherries , I am going to Lisbon in a week and a half for 7 days and I expect I will take at least seven dresses (most of them Toast), plus some shorts, a skirt and a pair of trousers. So, in your shoes I would be going with option C. I like a bit of choice on holiday and never ever where everything I have bought with me. My DH is used to me and, on the whole, humours my foibles around clothes!

Finally! I knew if I asked often enough a wise woman would show up to validate my choices 😀! I have this bizarre thought that all my dresses are chattering with excitement behind the wardrobe door wondering which ones will get the adventure. It’s been too long, they’ve been promised a good time since 2019.

Uve a beautiful coat from h&m in gorgeous grey. Very little wool in it, if any and its so warm

smallshinybutton · 26/09/2023 19:02

What's a Toastie? Is it for sharing jumpers etc? I've been wearing a nice H&M sweatshirt from a couple of years back today.

Anyone? Looks like it's for sharing autumny clothes so I shall join in.

I like that John lewis coat.

MrsRadichio · 27/09/2023 06:48

Sorry you've been ignored @smallshinybutton. Toasties refers to fans of the clothes brand toast, and we are a group of toast fans who have congregated on mumsnet to chat. Feel free to stick around and join us

Stoic123 · 27/09/2023 07:39

@smallshinybutton - morning!

This is a long standing thread series (going since 2020) - we share our love and admiration (and sometimes not) for Toast clothes. We have a grumble about erratic sizing (and provide guidance to others if we've tried something on) and get excited whenever there is a Sale on.

We will also share clothes from other brands that we think are similar to Toast but it is a quite single brand focussed thread. We are normally a very friendly bunch so sorry we didn't answer your question yesterday.

Stravaig · 27/09/2023 07:50

@smallshinybutton 'Morning! Toast.

@ilovecherries☺️😆 Took a wee minute to figure, yours more evident!

dudsville · 27/09/2023 07:56

Thanks for the new thread! Just place marking until I either have more caffeine or more sleep!

smallshinybutton · 27/09/2023 08:45

Oh! Thank you!!! I get it now!

smallshinybutton · 27/09/2023 08:47

I like the look of the repurposed yarn tank

OftenOrange · 27/09/2023 08:48

@ToastCosILoveIt So impressed by your boots , I shall definitely pop in to Marks when I’m next in the area . Kind of given up on them but forget that they still do great footwear
@lordloveadog I tried the Flower Mountain in store . They are are wide especially in the toe box area. I really liked them and am still cogitating .
The pale colours are easy on the eye , but I may investigate Folk who are doing the same in dark earth colours . The light beige top isn’t suede but fleece material which didn’t grab me, whereas the Folk ones have shearling in brown.

Love these. I got 20% sparks of a pair.

ToastCosILoveIt · 27/09/2023 09:33

@neveradullmoment99 , those are lovely too.

M and S definitely has some very good value things. I’ve just bought this orange cardigan below to wear as a jumper in winter with a Toast scarf and one of the many Toast baggy trousers/jeans that I have. I liked the orange so much that I have ordered a black one too. I sized up to a 14 as I didn’t want it to be too tight or to gape at the buttons when done up. It is wonderfully soft and looks much more expensive than it is.

I like to live vociferously through you lot!
I live in NZ - we can get deliveries to NZ from Australia but it costs the equivalent of 25 quid!
Whenever in UK I am straight to a Toast shop ( closely followed by Waterstones!)

Yes. I was in M&S and they have some lovely things.
I'm tempted by the orange scarf. Is it itchy?
How does the orange cardi compare in colour to the scarf? Sounds like a good match.

clowniform · 27/09/2023 10:08

Hello toasty new thread!
@OftenOrange The boots I tried are v comfy but I don't love the style, and I would like to feel the way you do about the Fracaps! Really need (ok, 'need') some chunky ankle boots though, and have already rejected dozens of candidates this year, so may end up settling.

Cool boots @ToastCosILoveIt and @neveradullmoment99 although was anyone else deeply confused after clicking the 'green' option on never's? 🤔 Someone on these threads also posted some great M&S fisherman sandals from this summer which is how I got interested in their footwear.
BTW ToastCos always wonder if your username is cos as in 'because' or as in COS the shop? I just spent far too long looking for items from a wishlist collage on the Toast site when it was in fact COS. 🫠

Laska2Meryls · 27/09/2023 10:18

Just logging into new thread, we are currently on our campervan 🚐 trip around Galicia in Northern Spain so no Toast buying for me ! I bought all my Toast Emma tees (about 20 it seems!) and a couple of pairs of Toast PJs but otherwise its a few weeks of wearing , suitable camping walking and cycling wear .No room in van for dresses..
So I will have to enviously watch all your purchases, until we get back late October

Laska2Meryls · 27/09/2023 10:20

Its averaging mid 20s here Cherries.. definitely dress weather...

lordloveadog · 27/09/2023 10:21

Thanks @OftenOrange ! I'll have a look at both those. I have catastrophically wide feet so am always on a shoe hunt.
