@ScottishMouse That's bonkers! Perhaps you're right, and they've just dropped the reins on size consistency and quality control.

@clowniform 🤣 Slinks from naughty chaise to ... sit on the floor by the cat flap studying the moon?

It is bizarrely contrary to UK size trends (although I cynically assume profitable somewhere, somehow).

clowniform · 27/09/2023 20:18

@No1Mousie I'm 5'7.5" and the length on me is as shown the model. I just dislike mid-length stuff (if something's to sit above the knee I want a proper mini). But Poetry actually list the garment measurements for each size(!) so you can check.

The issue with the poncho is that it's a been knit as a circular tube with symmetrical decreases, while most humans aren't actually Cluedo pieces.

Countmeout · 27/09/2023 20:42

Am I losing my mind? Have some new things disappeared from the website again?

PretLea · 27/09/2023 20:44

@Countmeout majority of items are gone for me too, including new ones…

Stoic123 · 27/09/2023 20:51

@Countmeout - looks like they are just reorganising categories. I can find new items when use the search function but not via links

All the Christmas decs are being added too.

No1Mousie · 27/09/2023 20:54

@clowniform thanks 😊 might work for me then. I quite like shorter dresses that aren’t going to get mired with mud when I walk the dogs.

No1Mousie · 27/09/2023 20:56

@clowniform and cluedo pieces 🤣 that’s exactly what they look like!

Didn't think I had room for another pair of socks but struggling to resist this cheery pair.

These are wonderful, the price is very steep though…. However a good fair isle is worth the spend … I got some form sea salt last year and they were terrible, the sizing was awful,

I have the Seasalt Fairisle socks, the women's are teeny.
I bought mens which I do with most socks as they fit my huge fit better and it irritates me that womens are so skimpy.
Same price and 3 for 2

mizu · 27/09/2023 21:41

Those folk trainers look gorgeous.

@No1Mousie

I'd be interested to know how this fits as I really need another denim dress Grin

The ones I got were randomly sized, one pair far too big another too wide and another too small !! My niece who has larger feet than I, also couldn’t get them to work for her as they had absolutely no give to get her foot in !!

Are they mens or womens?
The womens were all far too tight, the mens a good fit.
What size are you?

I’m a 5/5.5 … boots I buy a 6 for sock space, and sandals I buy a 5.5 (hot summer feet)… but mostly a 5… the sea salt ones just didn’t work for me at all

Stoic123 · 27/09/2023 19:20

Not sure I'm a fan of this one. Thoughts?

https://www.toa.st/products/lofty-alpaca-blend-knitted-poncho-navy

That is not a poncho nor a shoulder warmer,it's a wierd and therefore useless hybrid .

Too tired now but will elaborate further

OftenOrange · 27/09/2023 22:22

@Stoic123 I have something along those lines from TOAST that I bought 6 or so years ago , I bought one for my goddaughter too and it cost something like £65
It wasn’t v useful , was stored badly, got the moth , and I got it out this Summer to take to post repair .
I’ve been using it this week funnily enough and quite like it .
Will post a photo tomorrow.

Stravaig · 27/09/2023 22:36

Every few years a designer discovers Ravelry for the first time, and their subsequent collection contains rudimentary versions of designs that were all the rage on Rav many years previously 🤣 (or that's how it looks, anyways).

I added a beautiful variant of the hooded shoulder cowl to my project queue back in 2010(!).

neveradullmoment99 · 27/09/2023 23:04

All the ladies dresses have disappeared!!

neveradullmoment99 · 27/09/2023 23:05

Lots of things missing. Sure they are sorting the website.

Totally agree !
I knitted this in 2010 , ditto the flecky Donegal was seen on Rav 6ish years ago
I do still wear it and I also have a lovely fairisle one but they are shoulder warmers and come down half way on the upper arm, so practical.
Perhaps WFH and the CoL crisis means they will make a come back although not at that price 🤔

Ps That's not me!

Can anyone else only see 18 items of women's clothing on the Toast website? I still can't see any reviews so don't know if its just my computer being weird.

Not just you.

agnesmartin · 28/09/2023 07:07

Ok - read that as 'No just you' at first (still on first coffee) and was wondering what Toast had against me! 😆

Well, someone's going to have a busy morning. 😬Hope that means there are more new items dropping.

I keep looking at that brown wrap cardi ...

agnesmartin · 28/09/2023 07:08

And I've just seen other comments about missing items. <pootles off to get second cup of coffee>

Alpacasoft · 28/09/2023 07:14

I wonder if the " Give us your old stuff so we can sell it for £££s" is about to drop?
I thought I read it would be soon?

There's still nothing in the dress categories! I thought it would have been fixed!
