I’ve tried to stay away from unboxing videos and lists of products so feel excited about all the surprises!!

Having said I wouldn’t succumb to anything other than M&S this year I am tempted by that one.

This is what I make of Elle:
You buy an annual subscription for Elle print+ digital versions at a discounted price of £125 instead of £149 and your welcome gift is Elle 2023 AC.

In a year's time you pay full price of £149 for the magazine annual subscription.

There's no indication if next year's subscription would include a 2024 AC or any other incentive. There's no indication if you 'must' pay in a year's time or can cancel in advance of anniversary.

Both my Boots Ultimate and John Lewis advent calendars have arrived today. Fortunately I’m going on holiday tomorrow so won’t be tempted to rip them open.

@Branster that’s the best I can make out too. Except you’re signing up to some sort of enhanced subscription which gives you access to “exclusive” content and invitations to “exclusive” events - so the £149 per year subscription is much more expensive than the normal Elle print + digital subscription.

As long as you can cancel before it renews, I think it’s okay - but I’m really not the target demographic for Elle; if I was to do a print subscription, there are a number of other Hearst magazines I’d rather go for.

@AprilLady same for me regarding the magazine itself, not really interested in reading it.
There used to be a time when lots of print magazines had regular fantastic freebies (l'occitane fragrances was one if the best from memory). And 3-6months subscriptions would often have an introductory offer with a free expensive good quality moisturiser or similar. Those were the days!
Now it's all geared towards digital content, they don't send freebies with print subscriptions and there is nothing of interest on the rare occasion a print version has a gift on the shelves. And the worst of it: there's hardly any content at all, mostly advertising.

My Liberty AC arrived last week, the day after I ordered it iirc, and my LiB AC arrived yesterday! I usually open one on a daily basis and save the second to be torn apart on Christmas Day, so I’m saving the Liberty one for Christmas Day because it’s ages since I looked at the contents so most of it will be a surprise.

Still think I’ll get the M&S one too, it’s too good value to pass up. I like the idea of having an AC to cheer me up in January, might save it for then.

If you bought the No7 calendar it's worth checking your Boots advantage app - I bought mine Tuesday morning and because I was one of the first 10k people to buy I received a free Future Renew product. I just claimed and they are usually £35ish so very pleased!

Yes just got mine too! Check your offers on the app if you bought a no7 Callander, you need to load it to your advantage card.

That's a great perk from Boots! Those calendars were very good value too IMHO.

Thanks for posting the M&S details. I'm relieved as I chose the H&B one over this as I'm really unimpressed by the Mark's one. Hardly anything different from last year which I still have a drawer full of.

I have been hanging about this thread for ages and recently have been swithering between the Boots No7 Ultimate (really too pricey for me even though I use their products) and The OK! one which I wanted for the KS cream. That code was the deciding factor and I have ordered my AC 😀 Looking forward to December now!

Glad some of you benefited from the code for the OK advent. It is a good selection of stuff for the price with quite a few full sized products.

My JL calendar has just arrived! I managed to resist the urge to peek in the boxes 😆

I may still go for M&S. it has some useful staples for the price and it doesn't have the dreaded Avant.

I was waiting for the m&s one but tbh having looked at it ice worked out that I won’t use half of the products. On that basis I may give it a miss.

i ordered the boots lift and luminate but not until Wednesday pm so am guessing I missed being in the first 10k - nothing on my offers for me :(
