Only for breast cancer and I have lymphoma so don't qualify. Thank you for the thought though, and for the others who have sent good wishes

pinkchampagne1 · 05/10/2023 08:14

Sorry to hear this, namechange. Wishing you all the best with your treatment.

PomRuns · 05/10/2023 08:20

@Witchinawell I hope you are well now.
@namechange0998776554799000 wisjing you all the very best.

Squishmymallow · 05/10/2023 08:30

@namechange0998776554799000 all the best for your treatment - sorry to hear what you’re going through.

I’ve had an email from CB this morning offering me £10 off their calendar. Not a huge discount obvs but hopefully we’ll see some more discounts popping up soon!

Possimpible · 05/10/2023 09:26

That's kind of you to highlight @Witchinawell . @namechange0998776554799000 I think you can buy them regardless of diagnosis, looks like breast cancer patients can request a free one so I think that's the difference?

Nearlyadoctor · 05/10/2023 09:40

My JM one has arrived this morning- it really is beautiful, feels very extravagant ( which it is!!). Can’t wait for December 1st now 🩷

pinkchampagne1 · 05/10/2023 13:37

Ohh, I would love a JM one.
My JL calendar has been dispatched already. I only ordered it last night.

canwetalkaboutcake · 05/10/2023 15:09

Elle:

I like the look of this, I think some good discount codes were available in the past?

Puravida23 · 05/10/2023 15:48

@canwetalkaboutcake I do too with a good discount it would definately be worth it for me . Last year I think it got down to £99 and was priced higher originally I think so if it went down to similar I would buy
I have been waiting for this one I was only pondering today if they had scrapped it or not as hadn’t heard anything so glad to see it

Stoic123 · 05/10/2023 16:29

@canwetalkaboutcake - yes - that's not bad at all.

I bought

Selfridges for DD. It was between that and Charlotte Tilbury but all the minis were off putting. At that age they don’t want all the retinol products.

White Company for me. I use the same skin products and don’t wear much makeup so it was either this or spend on Jo Malone. I’d rather buy a decent sized perfume and other full sized products for the money.

AprilLady · 05/10/2023 16:59

@canwetalkaboutcake I also thought the Elle looked good. Hearst normally have links to a 20% off offer for their boxes somewhere (usually if you are subscribed to an email list from them) but I’ve not been able to find anything yet.

Bonbonbonbonbons · 05/10/2023 20:19

PartyFears2 · 04/10/2023 10:55

@Squishmymallow my 25% discount is because a member of my family works there so I get the staff discount

I really hope your family member lives in the same house?

Branster · 05/10/2023 22:37

If money were no object I'd absolutely go for Guerlain anove all the other luxury ACs.
I absolutely love all their products - sadly I cannot commit to their skincare for regular use. And I love the decadent packaging.

beautyadventcalendar.net/guerlain-advent-calendar-2023/

Thank you for the headsup on Elle AC - it's going on my wish list. Sticking to under £100 this year and we'll see if there are any big discounts next month. I may well end up with nothing at this rate!

ferretface · 05/10/2023 22:49

That guerlain is amazing, I hope I see some of the perfume minis and the candles show up on eBay 😅

Branster · 05/10/2023 22:54

ferretface · 05/10/2023 22:49

That guerlain is amazing, I hope I see some of the perfume minis and the candles show up on eBay 😅

It would be nice.
But I can't imagine anyone wanting to part with anything Guerlain, surely not!
They have a 20% off on their website- new customers or certain products? I don't know.
Browsing through their website just now has been my porn fill for the entire year! 😁

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 05/10/2023 23:08

The Guerlain is lovely but that’s a lot of money! At that level I think I would be so uncomfortable about the spend, it would diminish my enjoyment in the product — unless we were super-rich.

(Although if we were super-rich, maybe indulgent stuff would become commonplace and I’d get a bit jaded and wouldn’t appreciate it 🤔)

GentlemanJack · 06/10/2023 00:00

I've just looked at an unboxing of the Elle calendar. Ooh it's lovely. I think ( hope ) it might be reduced because the offer of joining the beauty club if you buy now doesn't look all that much.

Puravida23 · 06/10/2023 00:21

I looked at that too and didn’t understand it as it says it renews for £149 after 12 months. What exactly would I be renewing? And would buying the advent mean I was caught up in some scheme I would have to cancel . Put me off a bit

DarlingCoffee · 06/10/2023 04:58

Also here for the Elle AC and hopeful discount!

Icamehomelikeastone · 06/10/2023 06:37

The elle has some lovely products. There is a discount code at the bottom of the page but there is no option to enter the code at any point in the checkout process. Also am I right in thinking you have to sign up for a magazine subscription to buy the calendar? It certainly seems that way

Boppertini · 06/10/2023 07:36

I bought Elle last year and I thought it was great. I think they may have discounted by 20% or so (can’t remember) but then there was also an American Express offer (spend £30 on Hearst and get £10 in cashback). I know offers can differ between cardholders but worth checking for those interested who happen to have an Amex.

pinkchampagne1 · 06/10/2023 07:37

I have just ordered the OK advent calendar as well as the JL one. I never buy 2 calendars but for £75 for all those products including the Kate Somerville cream, it was too good a deal to pass on! 😆

Puravida23 · 06/10/2023 08:14

@pinkchampagne1 i bought for the same reason I love Kate Somerville products and have never seen the Kate Somerville K9 Peptide cream in an advent before. I may buy Elle or M and S as well so will almost certainly have reo

Peridot1 · 06/10/2023 08:17

@pinkchampagne1 how did you get the OK calendar for £75? It’s coming up as £95. It says there is a pre order discount but I can’t see it.

It’s a good calendar purely for the KS cream which is nice but not worth the RRP.
