@Splash80 My workplace has a reward scheme that can be converted into vouchers. I've saved mine up and have £100 worth to use. I've also saved my Quidco pot this year and there's about £80 to withdraw.
Anything I won't use I'll gift or swap here or sell on Vinted so nothing goes to waste. For me, it's a chance to try out some nicer products than I'd normally buy and I also really enjoy participating on the threads on here so it's well worth the money for me.

I think people have different priorities in regards to what they want to spend money on.

I caved and bought OK advent. I really don’t need any more products , I know that my bedroom is overflowing with them . But I really wanted to try the Kate Somerville K8 peptide cream as I love her products and there is no way on this earth I would pay £132 for it and I do actually need a primer and who wouldn’t want a tiny naked female body candle so the rest of the products are virtually free right?

This is my first year of getting a beauty AC.
To be honest, I wasn't really aware of them until this year.
I've always bought myself an old-fashioned picture AC.
DH has bought 2 (Next and Look Fantastic) as my belated August birthday presents.
They are extremely self-indulgent and expensive, I agree!
I'm hoping the packaging is all recyclable.
That said, I can't wait to start opening those drawers!

My work has a similar scheme @Roundaboot and it would give me the options of John Lewis or Selfridges with having to spend actual cash. If there's a discount or a GWP with John Lewis then it's very tempting.

Cosmetopia buys them with her own money so she tends not to do the very expensive ones, sadly.

@Whenwillglorioussummercome I thought in the most recent ones she goes through the contents list and gives her opinion. I haven't seen her actually open any this year but I could be wrong.

Yes! They've reformulated their Immortelle Divine Cream. It's awful now. Not nearly as rich and moisturising. I have to use twice the amount because it doesn't glide across my skin anymore. It just soaks immediately in and feels dry shortly after. Apparently they reformulated it and made it Vegan. They're still claiming that it's won X award in 2021 and X award in 2020, etc. can they still do that? Isn't that false advertising now since it doesn't apply to the current formula?

Does Harrods really sell out quick? I only have my eyes peeled for bargains on Space NK, Liberty or Harrods. Got Liberty and Selfridges last year - one was a gift and one was a bargain. Every year we say there'll be more bargains but doesn't seem to be the case.......what does everyone think?

I've cracked and gone for Degustabox despite it being awful last year, hopefully it will return to form. AC23 gets £5 off it.

Ah interesting. I also thought Degustabox was pants last year, whereas 2021 was great!

I cannot find details of what is in it this year - I know it's not ££ but last year's was so disappointing, all that tasteless vegan chocolate!

They don't tell you @clary it's a gamble. Interestingly they showed different contents attributed to 2022 in the advertising for this one, maybe they had a lot of complaints or an awakening that it was hopeless.

Well as expected I am still procrastinating!!

Now leaning towards Space NK. I initially wrote it off on the basis that there were so many repeat products which had been in last years CB but actually looking at them again I think I’d use all the repeats anyway (other than maybe the chocolate lip balm - really wish that was a different flavour!)

Part of me wants to wait until a discount appears but a big part of me just wants to buy it now so that I can stop agonising over what to do!! 🤣

I've ordered Degusta for adult DS. If nothing else it will give him a chuckle, he'll use everything whatever it is.

If the Flannels cracker one gets reduced then I may go for it. There's enough in it that I want or use to make it worthwhile, and I can gift the Bader. I don't think we'll ever get a repeat of the bargain reduced Flannels one from last year sadly, but there surely must be lots of reductions at the cheaper end as the market is so saturated. We all said last year that there wouldn't be as many due to the reductions but there seem to be more than ever.

Last year was our first Degustabox AC and we really enjoyed it. My daughter ate most of the chocolate. We still haven't opened the gravy flavoured mayonnaise though.

Is there a code for the degustabox ac? I've got myself the liberty ac but thought I should get hubby one.
