@Pinenu no I emailed about 15 times and got nowhere I also tried Instagram where I'd had a prompt reply before. I'm about to try phoning them as they are open till 8. It's so disappointing crap customer service. John Lewis seems to be the only decent one left x

Jellycats4life · 02/11/2023 17:59

Soooo I decided to buy the advent calendar. I don’t need it, but I had FOMO. Considered a bunch of other brands but in the end figured I could use my meagre BD credit, a £10 loyalty voucher and accrue enough point for a future loyalty voucher, so I went for it!

MavisMcMinty · 02/11/2023 18:17

Hooray, @Jellycats4life !

When is voucher time, does anyone know? I should get one next time!

Jellycats4life · 02/11/2023 19:01

The latest loyalty voucher was for October, so I think the next round will be January.

Orangeslemon · 02/11/2023 22:05

Oh no, that’s really not good enough @SarahC50. I had a problem a while ago where my Liberty account somehow disappeared so I wasn’t able to buy anything or use my beauty drop credit. They were able to resolve it eventually but I’ve had a few unrelated issues since and on the whole I’ve found them a bit amateurish, to be honest.

SarahC50 · 03/11/2023 09:29

@Orangeslemon I've found the same sadly. I got through quickly on the phone and she said she would check things out and phone me back last night, of course she didn't. They are quite happy with me leaving the BD subscription and have never once tried to fix the tech problem with my account. Disappointing x

Growlybear83 · 03/11/2023 09:52

For the other people who've also not been receiving emails from Liberty, I persisted with their customer services and was told this yesterday after they looked into my account again:

I can confirm that your account did have a hard bounce back from your email provider in December 2022 and that's why it was flagged as suppressed with our email platform.

Emails finally started arriving yesterday afternoon, so possibly the same has happened to others?

lapsedbookworm · 03/11/2023 12:04

It's strange because I've been really impressed with their customer service when I had issues. Not denying other people's difficulties, just shows it's not consistent

LoveLabradors · 03/11/2023 12:17

@lapsedbookworm me too. Always found it brilliant and unlike the PP it knocks the spots off John Lewis who I think are utterly dreadful now.

Neilsfavouritechilli · 03/11/2023 19:17

I've cheated and gone to Sephora for my advent calendar. Got 20% cashback via topcashback which made the price more palatable. I have coveted the Liberty Advent Calendar for years but I'm not going to lie, I've not been mad impressed with the Beauty Drop (plus I understand the calendar contains a hair care range that did nothing for me)

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 03/11/2023 19:26

I listed my perfume from this box on Vinted for a tenner and it was snapped up within an hour Grin

TragicMuse · 05/11/2023 17:35

You know how a lot of people absolutely HATED that tomato candle in last Year's advent calendar?

I've recently lit it and it's really really lovely! It's delicately floral and not like a weird salad at all!

I should list mine as well

I never got one but I imagine it smells if my dads greenhouse so not a bad smell if not unusual for a candle

I stuck mine on in a bundle with the augustinus Bader for £15 and it was gone very quickly! Hate the cream with a passion and my friend who usually likes all the perfumes that I don’t and always takes my spares away didn’t like the fragrance so I thought I’d sell both.

laclochette · 05/11/2023 22:40

@TragicMuse I LOVED the candle and must have bought about 5 more off eBay, not even kidding. My current "if money were no object" dream purchase is the giant tomato leaf scented candle that Loewe recently launched with Charlie McCormick but it's hundreds of pounds (it is huge tbf). And I adore tomato leaf scented soap. It's been one of my all-time favourite scents since I was a child.

That sounds gorgeous! I love tomato smells, so summery! They remind me of being 17 and on holiday in Italy for the first time.

Has anyone seen the Cult Beauty Christmas Crackers. I don't think they are bad especially the self care one has at least 3 30ml including seated queen cold cream I think and 100ml of molten brown x

My CB makeup cracker arrived today. Very nice.

Jellycats4life · 06/11/2023 20:04

I bought the make up cracker for my SIL. Looks like really good value!

BIossomtoes · 07/11/2023 14:01

I’d want more than that for £75.

MavisMcMinty · 07/11/2023 14:10

Yes. £40 maybe. I expect they’ll be reduced in weeks to come.

dullandgrey · 07/11/2023 15:39

So I'm a new member of the beauty drop as I just signed up a week ago. Came home to Octobers box, which was a very nice surprise! Love everything inside. The perfume is really lovely on me! I know there were mixed reactions on this thread, but I'm a fan. The cuticle oil is a novelty for me, but willing to give it a go. I needed a mirror for my handbag for touch ups and I love the cute little pouch. Everything will get used. Overall, very pleased Smile
