Glad it wasn’t today, to be honest. I had an emotionally turbulent day and I think I might have ended up shopping to self-soothe, and bought too much.

Also glad sale not today as been out and about. Popped into the Mayfair shop but there didn't seem to be much stock out on the rails.

I tried on the green coat but it wasn't quite the right shape for me (material is lovely though) and nothing else appealed. Wrong weather for AW clothes anyway.

I was in London today meeting friends for lunch and had intended to visit the NH shop, but it was so utterly inferno/scorchio 🥵 that I abandoned any pretence at going and gratefully got back into an air conditioned train back to where I am staying atm ..

So an opportunity missed, but it'll be there for another time..
I may try and get to Brighton shop over the weekend to compensate, but it won't be the same....

Re: sale.. I really don't think that we'll get one for at least another week or so.. I think its still too soon after the last.. But yes its likely to be just a long weekend job.. , I reckon. Very happy to be proved wrong though!

I went to Brighton store today.. Its not a very big shop and about half of it was Menswear, but I noticed a few lovely things .. The assistant was wearing the Batik poplin dress which has to be some perk , eh? But she looked absolutely fantastic in it.
I fell in love with the silk linen shirt, but its rather out of my price range.. I really want it though...
The cotton linen herringbone shirt is lovely but rather thicker than I imagined.
Donegal jumpers are utterly gorgeous...

Geometric print dress is fabulous also...( Luckily I am not really a dress person...)

Thanks for the info @Laska2Meryls . I wonder how much uniform allowance is. They get 50% discount on stuff I believe. I intend to apply for a job if they ever open here. 🤣

I’d like to work in Toast in my retirement! I think it would be a perfect job - I could spend all my wages on clothes and not feel bad about it.

I am not sure how old the assistant in Brighton Toast was but I thought perhaps mid 50s.. She had steel grey hair, but was gorgeous and groomed like a model.. And looked like one of those people who looks as good older as young ( unlike me) . But whatever, the uniform perks must be fantastic..

@Laska2Meryls i have that dress, it’s my favourite purchase from this season. It’s so easy to wear, @Countmeout erm, I’ve a few of the quilts. So I do swap them over, also they do get taken outside on chilly evenings, to wrap around shoulders etc… we hosted a late summer ball a few weeks ago, as the evening drew on many were sat with a toast quilt(should of got a picture). I hesitated and missed the firle quilt last year( I’m still trying to find one)…

im hoping for some sandles in the sale as well as see what they have for hubby …

I slept in the checkerboard pjs last night. They are the thinnest cotton. Perfect for the warm weather.

Well I haven't really, @dudsville .. Just Toast Brighton ( as London was too hot and I abandoned the visit to NH shop) and I didnt try anything on in Brighton either as was so hot after getting there, having walked in from the far end of Hove.. silly idea , should have got the bus .
However.... After seeing it in the shop I have quite madly because its stupidly expensive ordered the linen silk shirt ..

Ah, my mistake, I was perhaps being overly positive to counteract my slight hangover.

Have you ever worn Toast for a job interview ? If so, what did you wear?
I have one in a few weeks, might wear the Turrell dress depending on the temp.

I haven't@Snowyowl78 but only because my most recent interview was 15 years ago, before i knew about toast. My toast things would all be fine for an interview where I work. That turrell dress looks very flexible and would suit where i work. You may not want to give too much away about the kind of interview it is?
