It’s a shame they had virtually the hottest day of the year to show their coats and jumpers.

It didn’t make me want to buy anything either, apart from maybe the Batik dress, and the green socks which I don’t think they even mentioned.

I liked the cord dungarees but they must be very, very long as the model was tall and she had them turned up.

No, me neither now I think about it. I have already bought the blanket stitch coat and it is sitting in my 'decision zone' on inside of wardrobe door because it is stupidly expensive although beautiful.

Oh, I would try the batik dress but there's no 18.

Hi I’m a lurker but I’ve tried the dungarees in cord, the very dark brown ones. I’m 5ft 9 and they just reached my shoes, I can’t see how they were that long on the 5ft 11 model. I sent them back as they were too dark for me but I liked the green ones in the video, so might try again. Maybe the green ones come up longer? I am a Toast 12 of old and the 12 was correct. In new sizes I seem to be a large if that helps.

Looks like crotches are heading back toward their proper place, and hems too! Waistbands still a smidge high, perhaps. Some of the trouser fabrics looked nice, but I couldn't see the colours all that clearly. Or maybe they just seemed sludgy against the zingy line and orange! There was a nice zoom into the pumpkin Donegal over a shoulder at one point.

The tall model was very elegant, I'd love to see her own wardrobe choices. (Not the point, I realise.)

I kept raising an eyebrow that the presenters weren't helping the models out of their coats, instead just standing waiting. So I smiled when the tall model did exactly what I would have done, and turned sideways to camera/her back towards the presenter, expecting her coat to be received as she slipped out of it in one graceful motion. Instead, nothing :).

@Ilovemyshoes Height and leg length don't necessarily correlate. It took me decades to work out this is why I have to take everything up, even though I'm medium height. Turns out I have short legs, my length is in my body and neck. A tall person could be similarly proportioned, while a shorter person could have very long legs. The tall model had a lovely long neck.

I haven't watched the video yet - will do so in a sec, but I just came on here to say to @dudsville you can never have too many blankets! Sofa blankets, side of the sofa blankets, blankets to wrap round yourself while making the first coffee of the day ... so many reasons to get another. They also make excellent presents for people

@Stravaig , you've nailed it, i wondered why that bit of the video caught my attention! They're always a little bit of awkwardness though isn't there. None of them is a professional at presenting or modelling, it's part of the charm.

I received a parcel today and am feeling disappointed. I ordered the gingham shirt that Kat was wearing in the love today. It’s lovely. I had tried it on in store and thought it was worth another try. But the medium I received is definitely smaller than the medium I tried in store. Too small in fact. So I need to reorder or go back to the store and repurchase. Annoying.
I also (re-)ordered the harissa neat cardigan because the last one I ordered had a very bulky shoulder seam on one side which stuck out weirdly. This one has the same problem on the other side. 🙄 They have not had it in stock in my local store for a while so I may have to re-order yet again to see if I can get one that is ok. I really love it, otherwise I just wouldn’t bother.
Sigh.

Anyone found a way into the sale yet? I’m sure someone should have found one by now. I have tried but no luck.

Another vote here for blankets are the foundation of life, the epitome of functional artistry, our means of survival come the apocalypse, and how we rebuild civilisation afterwards. You can never have too many truly beautiful blankets. 😆

I'm sure there is someone at toast watching this thread and cackling evilly, saying they are going to make us wait another week for a sale!

😂 you'll be able to recognise all the toasties in the apocalypse by their tasteful wool blankets tied around the waist with the leather belt, donning the new snood hat thing, and with a mushroom in one hand and a trivet in one hand - though they no longer remember the significance of these things. They gather together around the evening fire reminiscing about socks past.

I’ve just received the denim dress. It is really lovely, but too small. Going off recent experience I ordered a 14 and it’s too tight on chest and gapes. Fits great on waist though. I don’t know whether to bother ordering it in 16.

I’m starting to think I should put Toast in a box and forget about it

I have just watched the ‘live’ and love the green coat, but it would make me look too short and dumpy, I think🙃

I also like that purply patterned skirt, but it’s too much for me to pay for a skirt.

Currently digging through my winter clothes and trying to decide how many dresses it's reasonable to keep. I like dresses but don't wear them enough really. But I can't seem to let them go...

enjoyed the vid, I liked the denim dress, the shape was a bit reminiscent of the denim jumpsuit around the sleeves and having more of a waist. Will be too long for me though so would have to take it to at more cost.

It’s awfully quiet here. I had to disappear for a while and was afraid I would have missed the start of the frenzied sale buying. It looks like they are making us wait.

@Stravaig I struggle so much with my hair just recently, I envied them too. I've done home chops successfully the last decade but a while ago I got my dh to cut a bit at the back... and now my hair has decided to stop growing, so I'm stuck with what was a really bad deciding until I work out how I'm going to rectify it!

Hi @SmartHamster, i think the general rule with dresses is to buy only what suits your lifestyle but then go crazy in a sale and buy all the dresses.
