Would anyone like to join in on a 100 day princessing journey?

100 days from today is 1st December so a perfect time to start our princessing journeys. I’m overweight, constantly tired and feel generally rubbish about myself. I want to make this a priority so hopefully posting here will make all of us a little accountable and we can all support each other…

Ohh can I join?

i was on one of these at the back end of 2021. The posters actually got me through my mums death in early December and funeral in late December.

The princessing helped me maintain a routine and not fall into the not showering, binge eating, depressed and checked out pit that I wanted To crawl into

CloakOfNope · 23/08/2023 09:57

@SlurpSlooChortle You could make your long list of all the things you want to do and cut it down to the ones that are most achievable.

I need to put my list on the fridge or something - I've already forgotten what I put on it!

Silverdogblue · 23/08/2023 09:59

Am giving up drinking for 100 days on Tuesday. That takes me to winter holiday.

Also going after my gut health and cutting out UPF as much as possible.

thebabessavedme · 23/08/2023 10:22

I'm in. I,m 60, had a dreadfully stressful year which with elderly parents, running own business, young dgs, dd with her own bucketload of problems, it's not likely to get better anytime soon and I need to be on better form.

MH been crap, drinking too much etc

I'm pretty good at keeping up the grooming, love clothes/fashion and am quite happy with my style, what I need is to nurture my body and soul, so

really cut down hard on the drinking

back to yoga at least 3 times a week

drink 3lt of water everyday

better diet ( I would like to loose about 1/2 a stone (too much loss at 60 not good for faceGrin)

Sort out cupboards (this is imperative, my wardrobe is fine, my kitchen cupboards are hell on earth).

See you later fellow princesses (I'm a bit old to be a princess so I nominate myself Queen Grin)

HRPUFF · 23/08/2023 10:26

I'm in!

Will report back later when I have more time.

Jamtartforme · 23/08/2023 10:31

Can I join? I’m 5 months postpartum and feeling ready to stop slobbing around eating junk in sick stained leggings.

My goals are

  1. drink 3 pints of water a day
  2. take make up off before bed EVERY NIGHT. I probably don’t bother 1 or 2 nights a week and it makes me break out
  3. put some effort into researching a capsule wardrobe which actually suits me, from quality brands. I have a wardrobe full of badly fitting cheap clothes I hardly wear.
  4. do 3 long walks with the pram every week (90 minutes minimum)
  5. Remember to take my breastfeeding multivitamin

1, 5 and 4 are probably the priority - I’ll cut myself some slack with 2 and 3!

Cannotthinkofanametoday · 23/08/2023 10:33

I would love to join too!
My list is:
1 litre of water a day
Take my vitamins
Daily walk or exercise bike
Regular nail/ eyebrow grooming
Hand cream/ body lotion
Get back into a daily Flylady routine
Set aside time for creative writing

Sweetum · 23/08/2023 10:48

I would like to join this please.

My number one rule is that I come at it from a place of kindness to myself.

I'm currently recovering from a miscarriage and after a couple of months of pregnancy exhaustion/ sickness/ grogginess I'm, today, feeling so much better as the hormones reduce.

My plan will be

  1. stop with the toast! Bulk making overnight oats at the start of the week and then improvising for the weekends.

  2. getting more healthy spices into my diet more regularly. Just been listening to a Dr's kitchen episode on this and I love the simplicity.

  3. takeout pizza every other Friday and dessert the other one. This is part of self care/ kindness and avoiding the drudgery of cooking dinner EVERY BLOODY NIGHT.

  4. getting back in to running for the enjoyment of it not just the health benefits

  5. evening skincare routine

6)Get rid of my verrucas🫣

Wishing everyone a lot of luck and positivity and looking forward to checking in.

BuddhaAtSea · 23/08/2023 11:06

I have a dog, and somewhere I lost the ability to dress like a normal person, I live in walking clothes and putting on ‘nice’ clothes is occasional these days.
So my challenge is to put some thought into how I leave the house.

I need to get back into some sort of routine when it comes to personal grooming.

I’m reading ‘Ultra processed people’, I’ll never look at a biscuit the same way again. I need to find a routine to be able to cook from scratch 99% of the time.

I started Manifest by Roxie Nafousi, I’ll try and implement what I learn on a daily basis.

And that’s me :)

WaitTheNoo · 23/08/2023 11:13

I'm in 😁 came at exactly the right time as I woke up this morning and decided enough was enough and I need to change my ways.

I'll be focusing on a better diet with the hopes of shifting this extra stone or so. I was in France at the beginning of summer and lost 5lbs so I'm going back to the way I was eating there which is basically just cutting out UPF.
I'd like to grow my nails out healthy after too much acrylic/ shellac.
Going to go brown and take care of my hair.
Callanetics every evening.
Skincare routine.
TOMM for the house.

I think that's it.... for now 😬

Sweetum · 23/08/2023 11:18

@BuddhaAtSea

Your post reminded me that one of my main things is to have a really brutal cull of my autumn/winter clothes getting rid of anything with holes in/ misshapen.
Then get on vinted and try to replace any gaps with nice quality but practical clothes.

Floraltears · 23/08/2023 11:22

OP, which skin tag removal pen did you use? Need to get one for DH!

TheGoodBanana · 23/08/2023 11:35

Oh yes I will join this!

  1. get more sleep - 8 hours a night.
  2. practice meditation/mindfulness before bed.
  3. cold showers - good for happy brain chemicals.
  4. outdoor exercise regardless of weather, even just a 20 minute walk.
  5. get on top of my skincare.

I already eat fairly well and exercise regularly so mine are more focused on mental well-being.

Notveryanything · 23/08/2023 11:42

On the nails front @WaitTheNoo mine were in a terrible state about 6 months ago after too many gels and probably not very good nail technicians.
They are now looking fine, I didn't do anything much, just cut regularly and put oil on when I remembered.

CutiePatooties · 23/08/2023 12:14

I’m in!
• keto diet
• 2 litres of water daily
• walking at least 7k steps daily
• yoga with Adrienne
• weight training and cardio at least 3x a week
• morning and evening skincare routine
• ww weigh-ins and weekly meetings
•no eating after 6pm
• I’m going to give myself a treat for every half a stone I lose: new dress, cut and colour, eyelash extensions, etc.

they’re the goals. Hopefully coming on here will mean I stick to them!

Sssudio · 23/08/2023 12:32

Ooh yes, me too please

I will:

Fake tan drops with moisturiser

religiously skin and me

shave legs/armpits twice a week min

epilate face once week

get brows done monthly

hair cut once every 8 weeks (had a melanoma removed from head so don't want to use hair dye so hoping a good cut and condition will mitigate the 50% greys)

foot cream nightly

2l water day

no crisps/biscuits/sweets

diet coke 2 x week max

no white bread

hide most of clothes and only keep out ones I love, that suit and go together (too many different types/styles colours so I end up looking like a jumble sale)

decent handbag (always fall back on decathlon rucksacks)

thenewaveragebear1983 · 23/08/2023 12:34

Yes me please 🙏
I exercise a fair bit so I will keep that up, but I need some self care in my life. I’m about to start HRT and I’m just feeling totally overwhelmed, old, and I really want to set aside some time to care for myself a bit more

my goals are:

  1. wear a bit more makeup and then remember to take it off and moisturise afterwards
  2. more water, more veg
  3. more sleep- I’m sleeping ok at the moment but I just feel so tired
  4. yoga - my poor aching body will thank me
  5. focus on, and be grateful for, one physical attribute every day. I have started feeling and being so negative and cruel about myself, to myself. So I am going to look in the mirror, smile, and say something nice to myself every day.
TotalOverhaul · 23/08/2023 12:43

Yes please. I want to lose at least a stone. i have 30lbs to lose.

Get back to regular exercise and have a walk every day - ideally 10k steps but even 4k is better than no walk.

Sort out my nails which are weak and split with torn cuticles. I'm ashamed of my hands. Really want to care for them.

I started low carb three days ago. Loving it so far. Instant weight loss, no hunger.
Also finally got my brows threaded and she did a great job of it.
Haircut booked for next week.

thelittlestbird · 23/08/2023 12:57

Me pls!

My goals -

  1. yoga twice a week (next term of my favourite class starts 3rd sept)
  2. weights 3x a week
  3. calorie count
  4. keep up water intake and 10k steps on office days (do well when wfh)
  5. keep on top of eyebrows and cuticles
  6. hair mask 1x a week
FallopianTubeTrain · 23/08/2023 13:39

I woke up this morning with a sense of, right let's sort myself out. So your thread feels like fate!

I think my goals are covered above but I shall go narrow them down into an achievable list as a day 1 step.

Let's do this 💪

Jammygal · 23/08/2023 14:52

I am so into this!!!! Thank you for suggesting. I lost 50 pounds last year but it's creeping up so need to get a grip again! I will start with the following habits;

Drink more water
Take supplements
Use skin gadgets
Read more
Use skincare stash
Daily exercises
IPL
Dye eyebrows
Lash serum

thebabessavedme · 23/08/2023 15:58

So much inspiration on here! I have made a great start today, cleaned all my kitchen cupboards out, drunk loads of water from my copper water bottle (found at back of one of the cupboards) Also taken supplements.

@TheGoodBanana I did about 6 months of cold showers, I am sure I benefited from it, thank you for reminding me, am going to start again tomorrow.

I am glad they worked for you. I need to give them a try, it sounds awful but I am willing to give it a try!

thebabessavedme · 23/08/2023 16:13

Its not too bad Grin I wash and do hair etc in normal hot water and then turn heat down right at the end, try to get it as cold as I can stand and try to stay in for 30 seconds, so not long! Well, I did a while ago, so am going to start again in the morning, I definitely felt rejuvenated afterwards, to sure why I stopped tbh.

thebabessavedme · 23/08/2023 16:14

NOT sure
