Would anyone like to join in on a 100 day princessing journey?

100 days from today is 1st December so a perfect time to start our princessing journeys. I’m overweight, constantly tired and feel generally rubbish about myself. I want to make this a priority so hopefully posting here will make all of us a little accountable and we can all support each other…

I'm still here plodding along too, skincare routine is well established. Weight up and down, currently at the lower end of where I was but not really lost any of the weight I wanted to, but hopefully that will change as I've cut my food intake right down.

Very stressed at the moment, moods very low, hair seems to be falling out more. I need to colour my hair, but I'm worried that if I do, my hair will look awful with the damage caused alonside the hair loss.

My birthday coming up alongside Christmas, would like to get myself back in the frame of mind to celebrate and be in a more positive place, so hopefully that will spur me on a bit.

Well done everyone for keeping at it!

Are you eating enough if your hair is falling out? I would be wary of cutting calories down too much before speaking with a doctor if my hair was falling out. Hope you are ok!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 26/11/2023 12:31

I'm really happy with my face at the moment, as I mentioned before the Superdrug salicylic acid cleanser I am using has really cleared it up.

Weight loss has leveled off, I think I need to put a bit more effort in tbh I've just been relying on not eating any sweet treats. Now its getting close to christmas some sweet stuff has crept in too :/

Started a Pilates class to help with my core, my stomach protrudes a lot and I'm hoping toning up the tummy will make a bit impact on how I look.

I'm still here but treading water. Had a stressful month or so, so slipping a little. I did reach my goal weight and am maintaining (within a margin of 3 or 4 lbs) but my nails are awful, my hair desperately needs a cut and I don't know when I'm going to get time to do it. I also need a serious de-fuzzing 😂

I've noticed how integral my mental and emotional health is to looking after myself. I'm not really feeling very princessy at the moment, I'm feeling largely like I can't be arsed! I have bought myself something new for a party though. 💃

Plodding in here too - losing and gaining the same pound repeatedly!
Got a hair appointment in early December and my second eyebrow microblading appointment, to top up any patchy bits. Am pleased with how they're looking so far though.
Had another clothes sort out and have recycled the 'okay but don't make me feel happy' clothes.
Been trying to princess the house a bit too in the run up to Christmas.

Wishing you the best of luck @Desperatelyseekingme
It's nice once you get going and start to see progress

Hey everyone. How are you all doing?

I hope we are all feeling good and had some positive progress as we draw closer to the festive season.

A few positives from me -

My hair was a major pain point for me. When I went to the hairdressers in August they wouldn't do balayage and insisted on highlights, and instead of a creamy pale blonde, chose a bright yellow blonde. I was very disappointed especially as highlights grow out terribly and I was in there for five hours.

I bit the bullet and decided to start doing it myself again, despite the fear of frazzling it off. Bleaching is always the scary part! It's taken a few goes to get the right tones, shading and colour, and the dye I bought for the root shadow was actually a colouring conditioner which needed applying differently doh! But finished it yesterday and I'm so happy with the colour and condition and is miles better than the hairdressers attempt.

My husband also bought me the MAC advent calendar which has been lovely playing with new shades and giving me a bit of a new look. The calendar opening sequence allows you to add something else each day to make a full look (or two) which has been lovely.

I bought the boots beauty box so my skincare and haircare is topped up and feeling a bit more pampered and put together.

Ordered new toothbrush heads, and been using a purple toothpaste to give my teeth an extra whitening effect for meetings etc.

Not so great -

I'm not even weighing myself anymore. I don't think I've eaten badly or excessively but have been drinking more due to the season which has at last look put me back to where I started.

I haven't ordered an outfit for Christmas yet, although there is time. Nothing has inspired me this year.

Nails. I just can't seem to get these to look nice. I should just pay to have them done professionally but I'm a bit time strapped.

My face always looks shiny and greasy after a few hours and my foundation doesn't seem to sit right. I think I need some face powder to fix this.

I hope everyone else is still on their journey x

Oh hello!

Good to hear your update @psuedocream3

I've been a bit up and down to be honest. Work has been massively stressful recently, plus my DD had surgery (nothing major but has still meant lots of running around and extra stress). I've been mostly working from home in yoga pants and a hoodie for comfort and struggling to find time for any exercise. Oh, plus close proximity to the kitchen has meant far too many snacks!

But a couple of days ago I realised I really need to snap out of this! So I'm trying to get back on it. Have opened some new No7 Protect and Perfect skincare and have been using it morning and night. I have a hairdresser appointment booked for Saturday and an eyebrow appointment for next week. Also have a massage booked for Saturday to try to relax before Christmas! I bought some glossy magazines yesterday to try to inspire myself. I'm going to go in to the office this week and have planned outfits for each day. Also planning a pilates class. I can do this!

Hi princesses ! I've not the bullet with weights and had my first hypnotherapy session on Friday . She was great , very realistic Trying to beat my sugar cravings first , then go low carb in January. My aim is to avoid sugar for Christmas as much as I can and really knuckle dowm in January. Have a wedding on 19th February so have a goal. Love my microbladed eyebrows and happy with my hair

On the home straights now :

I saw a photo and video of myself , my hair is SO grey , I hadn't realised ! Not in denial but I usually only see the front .
I decided to stop using dye a few years ago and let the natural colour (ok , grey) come through . Mine was in streaks rather than root growth so hassle free . It's growing in very wavy after hairloss last year so looks ridiculous loose .
I'm debating getting a fringe cut in again to give me some definition but if it was loose with a fringe I'd hate it more !

I have some blue conditioner in my hair after shampoo , so I;ll see if that does anything . I tried it before (I don't think it did much) but it is in my cupboard and I have the time so why not ?

I'm using a gorgeous face oil at night , skin feels really smooth and plumped .

Eyebrows next (dye) and the transformation will be complete . Eyebrow serum is working well so I expect to look like Cara Delevigne (in my dreams)
Just put a new bottle of Molton Brown shower gel in the bathroom ( Well, it is Christmas Xmas Grin )

Work Mon/Tues/Wed then a few nice things planned and some tidy up on the planner .

LadyBird1973 · 17/12/2023 16:31

Hello all. Good to hear your updates.
I'm going okay with the princessing. Still trying to get to shift a few pounds before Christmas - that's been a bit up and down at times but slowly getting there. I'd like to lose between half and one stone next year. Not feeling very festive yet, due to inability to fall face first into the mince pies and Baileys!

I have had my hair cut though, so happy with the style and I've coloured it at home, so no greys for now. Had second microblading appointment so very pleased with how my eyebrows are looking. Also quite pleased with my clothes situation - had quite a few strategic buys on vinted which has plugged done gaps. I threw out anything that made me feel bleurgh, so now only have clothes I actually like.
Since I've reduced alcohol and sugar in my attempt to lose a bit of weight, my nails and skin are better, so all in all I'm quite pleased.

lisam78 · 17/12/2023 17:55

Hello all! I've had 2 of 3 Christmas Nights our so far, and have been happy with the pics (well, most of them anyway!). I've been trying really hard since August to exercise and lose weight. I didn't quite reach my goal weight, but have managed to lose 12lbs, so I felt much more toned in my outfit. Had my roots done and some low lights added, and eyebrows and top lip threaded. Bought some lovely L'occitane shower oil and some new Dyptique perfume in the Black Friday sales, and feels such a treat to use them - it gives me a boost! I also signed up to Beauty Pie for a month and bought a few new face creams and make up. So, thank you everyone for the much needed motivation these past few months. Now, I just need to keep it up!

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 17/12/2023 17:58

I am definitely still a work in progress!
Big wins this year including moisturising my body more frequently, hair oil when I wash my hair and wearing a small amount of make up daily. This little rituals help a lot with making me feel ‘worth’ making an effort for.

Exercise has been dodgy in the latter third of the year due to hectic work schedule so that is a huge New Year’s resolution now I am more settled in my job.

i have been very lax with doing my gel nails as well. I used to go to a salon every three weeks but bought a gelish kit so it feels like a HUGE waste of money to get them done now. But I can’t be arsed to do them myself. So that will be a resolution too.

Hi all,

glad to see this thread in my ‘I’m on’ list.

It’s been very up and down here. Still not smoking. Have lost about a stone. Much more to go.

It’s just been the anniversary of my mums death which hit me hard. I feel into a pit of self neglect for a couple of weeks.

To get back on track I decided that I would set a smaller goal. Carry on eating well, doing my skin care twice a day, moisturise my body daily and have a shower everyday. But my target is to do it until new year. I am hoping if I force myself to do for a few weeks, I will pull myself out of the hole and become a habit. I do feel a bit better already.

It’s seems to be easier to do it when I am convincing myself it’s only for a few weeks.
