Would anyone like to join in on a 100 day princessing journey?

100 days from today is 1st December so a perfect time to start our princessing journeys. I’m overweight, constantly tired and feel generally rubbish about myself. I want to make this a priority so hopefully posting here will make all of us a little accountable and we can all support each other…

Love it. Mine are:

Follow the couch to 5k 3 times a week
Wean off SSRIs
See consultant and possibly increase HRT
No sugary snacks
2L water per day
5 a day
Meal plan and stick to it
One coffee per day only
Go to bed each night with a tidy house
Have a skin care routine

Some great ideas here.

MistyTrains2 · 24/08/2023 00:00

Great timing as we reach end of great british summer! I took up weight lifting 3 months ago and just come to end of first training block. About to do another 10-12 week block but this time going into a small calorie deficit (I have been eating in a surplus and gained about 7/7.5lbs). As I feel I have got the weight lifting habit I'd love to build on a few more habits. Will be back to share the list.

Voltefarce · 24/08/2023 00:02

I’m in! Bookmarking and will share my list tomorrow

Timetoflower22 · 24/08/2023 00:14

Yes I'm in!

Jekiffe · 24/08/2023 01:54

I’m still working on my list so thank you for all these ideas

scrumbledegg · 24/08/2023 02:52

I'm in. I got skin and me for £5 with the blue light card so happy days!

PositivePenny · 24/08/2023 03:52

I need this as we get to the end of the summer holidays!

  1. drink 3l water daily
  2. 10,000 steps daily
  3. skincare every morning and evening
  4. get completely ready each day (I’ve been guilty of not even brushing my hair properly the past few weeks)
  5. make a start on sorting out my autumn/winter wardrobe - I’d like to find a ‘uniform’ to see me through to spring)
  6. not S&B but I need to generally be more organised - house, work etc
GarlicGrace · 24/08/2023 04:06

Christ, no thanks! I don't want to be a princess and actively avoid anything called a journey, unless it's a geographical transit.

Just thought you should have at least one curmudgeon on the thread 😉Congrats on the new job, @merryhouse!

My self care yesterday involved 2 hours on the beach, a swim to the buoy as the tide was coming in. And staring at my (badly in need of a pedicure) toes. And a power nap on the beach.
I also did swing by Lidl on the way back and got nuts and fresh fruit for snacking. So, a good day.
Finished off by polishing off a bottle of white wine and eating UPF by the bowl with a girlfriend in the garden, it was warm and the fairy lights were cute and we put the world to right. 🤷🏻‍♀️

ErnestCelendine · 24/08/2023 07:10

I'm in!

Have booked a haircut and some yoga classes and dug my weights out from behind the sofa.

Sweetum · 24/08/2023 07:57

How did everyone get on with day 1?

Interesting that drinking water wasn't on my list but I drank loads yesterday- must have been everyone else writing it down.

Started today well with water and a decent walk before baby goes to creche.

Just seen the leggings I really want on M&S website but gutted at the price. I think I'll get some anyway as my last pair were brilliant.

Supercat100 · 24/08/2023 08:11

I'm in. I feel bloated and crap. Need to lose 5kg and look after myself better. Step 1 is to drink more water and start meditating daily again. I went on a course to learn it properly and it's fallen by the wayside.

Voltefarce · 24/08/2023 08:33

Ok, here’s my initial list:

  1. No phone use in bed. Have set up alarm clock so I can charge it downstairs.
  2. Keep up with my skin routine. I’m pretty good but always forget the days I’m meant to use retinal.
  3. Drink more water.
  4. Run at least 3 times a week.
  5. Gym at least 3 times a week.
  6. Nails every Sunday evening. I do them myself.
  7. Need to book a haircut and pedicure. Will try and fit one of those in when I’m wfh on Friday.
  8. Sort clothes for week on Sunday. I did that this week, and it’s been fab to have things ironed for each day.
Notveryanything · 24/08/2023 09:02

Sorting clothes for the week is a great idea. I'm starting a new job next week so will definitely try to do that.

I had a good swim yesterday and read some of my book. But I'm not working at the moment so it's easy to do! It will be more of a challenge when I am back to work.

One thing I need to do (not very nice) is sort out my fungal nail situation. I'm going to buy some stuff in Boots today.

MotherWol · 24/08/2023 09:29

I’m in! Things are still a bit relaxed until the end of august as we’re on holiday, but my short term goals are:

  • take my vitamins
  • daily cleanse and moisturise, remember my sunscreen
  • trying to cut my phone use

Then from September:

  • losing the final 3kg - I’ve been doing really well with weight loss this year, and I just need a final push to reach my goal weight
  • improving the condition of my hair, got a haircut booked and thinking about trying an oil treatment

It’s easy and makes such a big difference! I mix light brown and dark brown so they are subtle. HiBrow kit is great.

I tint my own lashes but have never been brave enough for brows. How do you stop it staining the skin - I use lots of vasaline around my eyes, but if you do that on brows it won't take on the hair?

I also need to add:

  1. Deep condition hair once a week, toner once a week.

and just because I need a round number:

10 . Exfoliate and fake tan on legs once a week.

declutteringmymind · 24/08/2023 09:35

Yes! I'm off my hols on Monday and am going to use the socially quiet time over the next few months to improve things. I've been on a bit of a journey this year and want to carry on.

For me it's: skincare

Carry on with health diet including the ZOE program which starts in September

Exercise.

Also declutter the house a bit. I'm beginning to lose stuff which is always a sign.

Carriemac · 24/08/2023 09:39

Definitely me. Had a rubbish summer due to a bereavement and ma barely washing my face
today I will make an appointment to colour my hair

Just apply it very carefully with the tiny brush that comes in the kit. Once you’ve applied the tint immediately wipe off any tint that has gone onto the skin with a cotton bud.

mamatoTails · 24/08/2023 10:09

Good morning all, hope everyone has a good day.

Well I didn't get up too early but all the children were still sleeping and we've no plans so I had a little extra snooze!

Then once up I washed, and also cleansed my face. Will moisturise after I've showered.

I then did a short weights workout, and filled up my water bottle for the morning.

Have done some housework and waited until I was hungry for breakfast, I've made porridge with coconut rice milk.

Aiming to finish the housework, and more exercise later along with a long walk tonight.

Not sure on plans for lunch or dinner - hoping to just eat when I'm hungry so maybe a salad at some point, I've got salad and eggs in and that's about all. Food shop tomorrow!

That sounds like my dream day!

Nuffaluff · 24/08/2023 14:59

I’ve managed to stick to my new healthy eating plan (not diet) for four days now. That’s good for me 😂
High protein, high fat meals which is leaving me fuller for longer and I have drastically cut down on sugar and UPF fake foods. I feel better already and full of energy which is a big improvement. I have that feeling that I’m losing weight but time will tell. Is it my imagination or do my skin and eyes have a bit of a glow about them? It’s probably my imagination.
Later I’m going to put my phone in a drawer and read. I’m going to paint my nails a nice pinkish nudish shade.

greenhydrangea · 24/08/2023 15:15

I hope to lose the weight I somehow put on and refind my waist. 100 days seems doable. I shall make a little plan...
