My ones last year were a Medium, this year I've got Small. I do have to wriggle them over the hips a little but comfortable once on.

For reference last year I needed a 12 in Gabis, haven't tried any recently but I might be ok with a 10 now. I have the Toast wide twill trousers from last summer (cropped, khaki colour, almost culottes) in an 8. No other trousers other than Toast or Uniqlo to compare to, but I'd by either an 8 or 10 in Toast dresses depending on what is available in the sale. I wear S in Toast PJs and they are generous.

I can measure the trousers but probably not until Tuesday evening.

@Saurus72 I did a sound healing session at a festival last year and loved it. Going to regular classes must be wonderful. I can see how you’d find them helpful for stress and mental health generally. I was floating on a little zen cloud afterwards ☺️

Countmeout · 26/08/2023 08:40

@Flowersforbees I think the new video on 7th September has a lady around that height on it, Sylvia, she was on a video before some time back.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 26/08/2023 08:40

Really interested in the sound healing chat @Saurus72 I’ve been to two different sessions, one when I lived in Scotland and one since I’ve moved. Both of these were with gongs and I didn’t enjoy either, in fact I came away with a headache. I hadn’t considered it could be down to the practitioner, or that some sessions use crystal bowls.

I find yoga and meditation really helpful, but since I’ve moved I haven’t been able to find a good meditation only class. The best practitioner in meditation I found in Scotland had spent many years in India and eventually moved back there permanently just before I moved away.

@AmethystMoonShine It has been a really positive thing for me this year, it feels like a big luxury tbh! The best way I can describe it is that it took several months to feel like I was back down to an even keel after being Uber stressed for a really long time and I haven’t gone back to feeling like that since.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I know, I hadn’t realised how lucky I was that the usual classes are so good until we had the substitute - it was such horrible noise, I stared at the ceiling for the whole session wanting to scratch my ears out 😬. If you can find more to try hopefully you could land on something that suits you.

Hi all, just got back from Cornwall via SM yesterday. There was even less in than last Friday, but I did investigate the shoe mountain and got a pair of Kitty Clogs. I sized up as my usual size was too small on the heel. Hopefully they won’t fall off.

I also bought a sample piece of fabric, (overpriced at £10 imo), which I will use as a hair tie. Thanks to whoever it was ages ago who recommended lifting fabric to the face to check the colour against the skin - I did that and found the soft green looked much better than the light brown!

@ScottishMouse - a belated wow! Your dress is lovely. I am trying to work out if I could get to the Notting Hill shop for the next Circle.

Sorry to hear about the Covid @clowniform! Hope you feel better soon.

Snowyowl78 · 26/08/2023 11:05

Does anyone have the Space Check shirt? The grey one. I am wondering about size. Just bought one off Vinted in a small but I’m wondering if it will be too small…

Snowyowl78 · 26/08/2023 12:40

@Laska2Meryls got my Uniqlo jacket today! The large is pleasantly oversized I think it works. I do have a million jackets hmmm

Laska2Meryls · 26/08/2023 12:57

Sounds good @Snowyowl78 my Denim shirt wont be here until Monday, I think ..

Snowyowl78 · 26/08/2023 13:03

It’s not dissimilar to the patchwork denim toast one that I found on Vinted so potentially I don’t need both…

Stoic123 · 26/08/2023 15:14

Succumbed to the Bryn Radicchio as an L came back in stock.

@MsDastardley - did you go for a larger size in the end?

I did Stoic123 I contacted customer services on Thursday and they said they weren’t expecting any more, so I ordered from a store. I had to pay £5 postage though. Now they’re back online. The dress arrived today and it’s it fabulous. There’s no spare room in chest though! I’m tempted to order it in the yellow.

Was planning on wearing it later on, buy it’s raining really heavily hear, never seen anything like it, a monsoon.

Stoic123 · 26/08/2023 16:18

@MsDastardley - annoying about the postage for you.

Was thinking about waiting till a sale but the larger sizes are in short supply and I think it is a glorious pattern/colour. Fingers cross fits me.

clowniform · 26/08/2023 16:30

Thanks @Dee1224 , you are kind! Slightly sulky about missing carnival, and to add insult to injury I'll be out of town for the Notting Hill Circle as well! I could make the Richmond one, anyone had experience of that branch's offerings?

Lucky you @Snowyowl78 for snagging the Uniqlo jacket. By the time I went on all my wishlisted IdF stuff had gone from the UK site, or maybe had never made it here? Did anyone spot the denim mididress with two chest pockets, or the checked yoke blouse?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 27/08/2023 10:10

First outing for my suki trousers today, along with toast tie dye socks and a seasalt tank.
Bit concerned about colour rub as I haven't washed the trousers first.

Laska2Meryls · 27/08/2023 11:37

I saw the Toast tank on Gardeners World last night...They were all terribly Toast in those Whitstable gardens !

Laska2Meryls · 27/08/2023 11:39

@Theteapotsbrokenspout . My suki trousers didn't rub colour and I worse them at least twice before washing.. I didnt notice any colour bleed when I washed them either

Stoic123 · 27/08/2023 12:40

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - no problems with Suki colour here either. Def wore before washing.

Snowyowl78 · 27/08/2023 13:03

Harking back to moth chat, I found a dead moth on my Mothman sticky hanging things, just one. Does this mean I have a moth problem or is it normal to just have the one?!?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 27/08/2023 13:52

That’s reassuring @Laska2Meryls and @Stoic123 I don’t really like washing new things before I wear them.
I am finding the suki really comfortable, a bit like pyjamas and probably just as flattering 😁.

Ha Ha - not the most elegant item I own but definitely as comfortable as PJs.

Was it in a wardrobe? Or just placed out in a room?
Sounds like you have got a moth problem as I'm sure its only clothes moths they attract?

dudsville · 27/08/2023 18:30

@Snowyowl78 , i don't know but I'm posting to say that I'm finding moths near daily. I'm checking my clothes a lot. We do keep the wid=ndows and doors open a lot in the day so it's hard to know who's just flown in and who's been born amongst our things!

Snowyowl78 · 27/08/2023 21:05

@neveradullmoment99 @dudsville it was inside the wardrobe but only one!!
