I agree with a lot on here but I realised a trend I hate has gone now: cold shoulder tops. I had an irrational dislike of them.

Also I love maxi dresses but please stop adding a huge frill to the bottom -
flatters no one at all apart from residents on the prairie

Pretty much all of it.
Oversized T-shirts that are horribly boxy. Same with band prints on but only about 3 or 4 bands which aren't the ones I want.
Crop tops
Tight fitting leggings that are super tight.
Ruffles, frills, 'bubble hems' and other ridiculous affectations.
Cut out bits, horrible patterns, horrible fabrics.

Crocs

They give me flashbacks to our mad Physics teacher in school!

Skinny/tight trousers on men.
Leggings, especially tatty or cheap ones that are so stretched you can all but see right through them. They seem to be everywhere and I hate them. Lazy, can't be bothered to make an effort dressing.
Massive, clunky, chunky heeled shoes and boots. Very unflattering unless you have child-sized feet.

All the nude/beige lycra clothing unless it's an underlayer and worn as such.

This might be a reflection of my local town centre today, but the Frankenstein mix of influencers meet wannabe TOWIE person down the gym can be put in room 101. Fake tan, thick lashes, layer and layers of 'natural' make-up, skin tight clothing, especially cycling shorts, and pouty lips. It looks ridiculous.

Me too! It was actually the first thing that popped in to my head when I saw this post, but like you, thought they'd been and done their thing now.

I bought a top in Sainsburys once and when I got it home and tried it on, it had holes in the shoulder and was slashed then from the shoulder to the wrist. How the hell did I miss that? I pranced around in front of the mirror to see if I could change my mind, but no - I hated them even more after that trauma!

It wasn't taken over by the "be kind" brigade. It got a bit of pushback from people who didn't think it was OK to use misogynistic, sexist slurs on young women who wear them, and who didn't think it was a sign of the collapse of society.

I fail to understand this. Nipples sometimes stick out. Even if you are wearing a bra.

This has got to he a generational thing. I remember in the 90s it's was an absolute no-no to have your nipples showing through your clothes so EVERYONE wore padded bras. But this doesn't seem to be an issue now, and non-padded bras are more popular.

I never wear those moulded cup bras as I hate them. So I’m sure I inflict my nipples on people sometime in my thin t-shirt bras. But I have perky boobs so I don’t care 😂

Funnily enough, though, bras and bra straps on display were a 90s staple. Bra straps showing on a spaghetti strap top, long sleeved lace tops with a bra underneath, a Wonderbra under a tailored suit jacket.

It's less about boobs now, and all about the butt. Hence the ridiculous leggings. Era of the wonderbutt!

It may be an urban myth, but I read that when she was on Friends, Jennifer Aniston used to cut a hole in her bras in order for her nipples to show.

Americans are the most prudish people about nipples so I doubt it’s true.

I think this trend is dying out too. Especially those ‘Russian’ ones. Everyone looks like Janice from the Muppets.
