The half zip. Just why?

I hate polo shirts. Hate them. I have never had and will never have sex with a man who wears a polo shirt through choice.
Polo shirts and chino shorts and LOAFERS.

I think a lot of mens' fashion is abysmal to be fair.

Funnily enough, though, bras and bra straps on display were a 90s staple. Bra straps showing on a spaghetti strap top, long sleeved lace tops with a bra underneath, a Wonderbra under a tailored suit jacket.

Fuck, the 90s were shit.

Don’t forget the early 2000s lace pants showing above your low slung jeans or pinstripe trousers

1980s glasses. Why?! They take up half your face and are not flattering on anyone!

My DD has just bought a big pair of 80's glasses. They look fab on her!

The oversize, frilly, floral, puff shouldered sister wife look. Also the massive great floufy " ethnic" skirts often suggested on here that can hold ten people.
Also everything polyester, even recycled.

What do you mean by ethnic? Quite a pointed term

PuddleCake · 17/08/2023 19:47

I really hate the ill fitting jeans. Not so much super baggy jeans but the mom jeans and 90’s shapeless jeans. I always assumed that they were trendy in the 90’s as in the UK we hadn’t worked out how to make well cut jeans yet….

TheYadaYada · 17/08/2023 19:48

My husband bought Crocs Sliders to keep by the door as his ‘going to the bins’ shoes.

I hated them so much, even for this purpose, that I wore him down with my moaning and they’ve gone to the charity shop.

Yeah, those too.

I do still like low rise jeans (not showing pants or crack), but I realise I'm in a minority.

Susuwatariandkodama · 17/08/2023 19:53

Body suits being worn with low rise jeans, I’m very sorry if this offends but it looks trashy

TheYadaYada · 17/08/2023 19:54

I like low rise jeans. I’m slim, but high-rise jeans make me look really fat.

Daydreamer123456 · 17/08/2023 19:54

Probably been mentioned but crocs -
awful

DarkSpark · 17/08/2023 20:02

Lucy and Yak dungarees, they're shapeless and most of the prints I've seen are ugly.

DuchessOfSausage · 17/08/2023 20:03

Crocs and Lucy & Yak aren't fashion. I have both.

LindorDoubleChoc · 17/08/2023 20:04

Floral print dresses.

LolaSmiles · 17/08/2023 20:05

DarkSpark
The worst print I saw of them was one covered in vulvas and period products.

I can't believe there was a market for it.

Some of their plain colours are quite nice but the prints often seem very try-hard 'I'm quirky me'.

Picoloangel · 17/08/2023 20:06

All of above - cropped anything, bum crunching shorts, cycle shorts, nude Lycra, cold shoulder tops (just why!!) pouffy sleeves, huge oversized dresses and t shirts.

polyester everything!

I have to wear suits for work and it’s almost impossible to find one made of anything vaguely natural. All polyester mix and glinting in the sunlight. Hate it!

Hollyppp · 17/08/2023 20:20

I really like that half zip top OP!!

agree with others on the cropped tops, nude leggings and puff sleeve

OhYetAnotherBrickInTheWall · 17/08/2023 18:12

High waisted trousers and Mum jeans can all get to fuck. How to highlight a stomach on a long legged / short waisted person (me).

I feel your pain.

It's becoming increasingly more difficult to find mid-rise jeans, but I managed to score a pair yesterday - hooray!

Blossomandbee · 17/08/2023 20:25

Another vote for cropped jumpers and tops. They would look ridiculous on me but even the kids stuff isn't safe. Trying to buy normal length basic t shirts and tops for my young daughters is almost impossible.

Housewife2010 · 17/08/2023 20:25

Jumpers tucked in and the hideous lip filler.

ThirtyThrillionThreeTrees · 17/08/2023 20:27

Pretty much everything - I'm short, hour glass and very pale.

Everything has too much material, high waisted trousers, midi dresses, oversized everything. I look like a scruffy child playing dress up. Nothing current looks good on me.

I cannot wait for tailoring, v necks and short or knee length dresses to make a come back.

Crocs are most definitely fashion atm- they’re everywhere. Kids, teens and adults.
Saw them in the window of Schuh/Office and JD at the weekend.

You can even get little charm things for them.

SpamFrittersYouSay · 17/08/2023 20:27

Anything scrunch bum.

If you are a petite size 6 and wear them, you do know that we folk behind you are sniggering.

Similarly, any tight but thin bum covering on anyone...

Your cellulitey, dimpled arse is flapping about
like a sail in a force 10. It really is.
Wibbling like a lava lamp at best.

From where?! As a 5’9 size 12 woman with a flat-ish stomach, any shopping tips for jeans that don’t make me look fat would be most welcome!

itsnotmeitsu · 17/08/2023 20:34

@pictoosh > I've never seen anyone that hairstyle flatters. I think of it as 'the cowpat' haircut.

I'm not in the UK, but they were Lee Riders.
