The half zip. Just why?

I am tall. I cannot wear cropped bloody trousers! They just look like they’ve shrunk!

Same.
Also I spent enough years not being able to buy 'tall' or long trousers and hence worrying if they were quite long enough, that I'll never see ankle flapping as a good thing.

DuchessOfSausage · 17/08/2023 17:20

I don't like cropped trousers or ankle grazers. I'll wear thin cotton trousers rolled up a little in the summer. My legs don't need to be made to look shorter.

MaCrepeSuzette · 17/08/2023 17:29

Oversized everything - looks stupid on me because I'm short. Haven't been able to buy a shirt that actually fits me for ages, useless I want to wear it as a dress.

Maxi, midi dresses - can't wait for these to die and minis to come back.

Frills, puffed sleeves, flouncy bollocks. Just very not me.

Beige, camel everything and yes to people looking naked, there must have been so many near car accidents caused by double takes!

VoldemortsKitten · 17/08/2023 17:32

Cut out bits everywhere! Lovely dress, oh it has a massive hole at each side 🙈🙈

MotherofGorgons · 17/08/2023 17:41

The oversize, frilly, floral, puff shouldered sister wife look. Also the massive great floufy " ethnic" skirts often suggested on here that can hold ten people.
Also everything polyester, even recycled.

BenjaminDisraeli · 17/08/2023 17:41

High waists, high necks, trapezoid tops (that flare out at the bottom), comedy sleeves, comedy volume.

To be fair I probably looked my best in the 90s, in Jigsaw black bootcuts and snappy jackets, with brogues, ankle boots, or -daring! - Birkenstocks in summer. The Carrie-from-Homeland look. And low-slung jeans, cargo pants etc. Yes cargoes are back, but I got some online that turned out to be high-waisted, gah.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 17/08/2023 17:43

The cut-out trend I think is awful.

PuppyMonkey · 17/08/2023 17:45

Not sure if they’re still a thing but those French tucks, well not sure it’s called that, but where you tuck the front of your top in and have the back untucked. Honestly, even on models and gorgeous people it looks so silly.

LovefromPickles · 17/08/2023 17:45

The skin tight flesh coloured cycling shorts. I saw a young girl in town the other day & could visibly see her sanitary towel through her flesh coloured shorts.

PuppyMonkey · 17/08/2023 17:48

i mean, tell me it’s not just me who thinks this looks Grin

High rise jeans, I have a long bum so they make me look huge.

YES to all of this.

It’s become so hard to shop for clothes as a petite woman.

I have this. It's beautiful and washes really well.
It's a bargain for that price too
It's goes with everything.
Especially well with cream jeans and trainers! Had it for months.

NatashaDancing · 17/08/2023 18:07

There are always are loads of things I dislike but none of them are compulsory.

I hadn't noticed the "half zip" (isn't that always a thing anyway?) but I don't like anything that zips up the front, half or otherwise, so it doesn't matter. I was probably under 10 the last time I wore anything that zipped at the front.

I don't wear trousers or jeans so, it's irrelevant what is or isn't fashionable.

Most of what's been listed I haven't even noticed and wouldn't wear anyway.

The "french tuck" looks daft.

notthebestideas · 17/08/2023 18:09

I don't mind a half zip and that John Lewis jumper is rather nice IMO.

The big flouncy, tiers and tiers, puffy sleeve dress styles that have been around a while just swamp me. Are they still 'in'?

Imsureitsprobablymebut · 17/08/2023 18:10

Yoga/exercise pants (shorts and long pants) that go right up the bum crack.

They look hideous, can’t be comfortable, and surely encourage all the conditions that thrush thrives in !

OhYetAnotherBrickInTheWall · 17/08/2023 18:12

High waisted trousers and Mum jeans can all get to fuck. How to highlight a stomach on a long legged / short waisted person (me).

Yes. I love this.

COLLECTION 11 | FALL '23

Another vote for cropped tops/shirts/jumpers etc. And cut out or backless dresses. Not a good look for back fat!

TheYadaYada · 17/08/2023 18:15

I’m pleased the sharpie brow is finally going out of fashion, but now the eyebrows brushed up and set vertically is almost worse.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 17/08/2023 18:16

I don’t like jumpers tucked into jeans.

I envy your day-to-day business where you don’t see skin-tight nude trousers/leggings/leotards every day. I pass through a busy Tube station twice daily and will do a ‘has she forgotten to put on her trousers AND knickers?’ double take at least once a day.

TheChosenTwo · 17/08/2023 18:16

Another chiming in with cropped anything 😂
and also anything with horrible bits just randomly hacked out of fabric, not sure who’s buying clothes with all these cut outs but it’s not me.
And finally, ugly shoes. We all need shoes (unless you go barefoot everywhere!) but why do they all have to be so ugly? Where are all the normal shoes???

BitOutOfPractice · 17/08/2023 18:17

every single dress having a frill on the bottom like a 6 year old’s party dress. This has been going on for several years. Stop it.
