@Snowyowl78 Ok, thanks! :-)

Noeggsontoast · 04/08/2023 11:27

@Countmeout @ilovecherries more lovely outfits!

@clowniform yes, that's the patchwork skirt I'm wearing. I wear this with the navy collared half sleeve jumper. I like the two together as the sweater has a nice welt so it maintains the waist of the skirt.

I'll report back but having examined the batik skirt photos in detail, the pleats appear to start in exactly the same place, which I like. However in terms of pairing the batik skirt, I am waiting for the sweater in the image to drop, but the navy collared sweater I have will work too.

That shirt @Laska2Meryls is the Ash ruffle necked shirt from last year. It came I. A peach sort of colour too, noticed that colour popped up in the last sale. The sleeves are tricky to get in most jackets but it wasn’t warm enough this morning for wearing by itself. It’s really light.

ScottishMouse · 04/08/2023 13:50

Well it is overcast and cool here today and I briefly went out this morning in the linen cotton pinafore with a non-toast breton tee underneath but I was too cold and really wanted some comfy trousers. So I changed into my old and very faded indigo Alix (from their first incarnation, maybe 6+ years ago), with the black boatneck tee from the sale and the ikat jacket which I bought full price but was in the sale. It’s not a very cohesive outfit but it is very comfy.

@ScottishMouse - the alixes look beautiful faded!

ScottishMouse · 04/08/2023 14:12

@faustina , the ones I bought from you are still unfaded and almost pristine. I prefer these ones in the summer. I haven’t found jeans in years that fit me properly and miss wearing them, so these are a good substitute.

faustina · 04/08/2023 14:15

The fade is wonderful. Cos had some very similar to the toast panelled (?) denim trousers. You might like them?

Stoic123 · 04/08/2023 14:18

Just watched the men's styling video- some really lovely stuff. Is Nikki wearing The Trousers rolled up?

Yes, really lovely clothes in the men’s video. THE trousers look good rolled up on Nikki.

Stoic123 · 04/08/2023 16:18

Toast item today is the Suki Panelled trousers. So comfortable. Lucky to get at 40% off in the Uniform Research sale -highly recommend them, particularly at sale price. Size down.

faustina · 04/08/2023 16:23

Actually I think she might be wearing the side tab trousers in shell - she did for another live thing (which I can't find anymore) and they were rolled up. She wore The Trousers unrolled in a more recent live

Countmeout · 04/08/2023 17:49

Yes I didn’t think they were as wide as the current trousers that she was wearing in the ladies styling video. I was surprised how low that jersey top she had on was at the front.

Stoic123 · 04/08/2023 17:52

@faustina - yes, she wore the side tab ones in the Spring Styling video.

faustina · 04/08/2023 17:53

That was my inspiration for buying them!

Dee1224 · 04/08/2023 18:51

That Bryn dress looks lovely on you @OftenOrange - I was tempted by the dark green Bryn in the sale but I didn’t think the reduction was enough for me to risk viscose, (I have form for shrinking it🙀).

Dee1224 · 04/08/2023 19:21

@faustina Hi, I know you haven’t got your Beaumont dresses yet, but did you size down or get your usual size?

faustina · 04/08/2023 19:28

@Dee1224 - on their own website they said they were an oversized fit, so I ordered two of the black one in S and XS, and then the long sleeved navy one was only available in XS and L I think? so I ordered that in XS. They had very good photos on the website. Which one are you going to try?

Dee1224 · 04/08/2023 19:31

Hi @faustina - thanks for the speedy reply! I was thinking about the Regina and the maxi tiered in sand or tan. What did you get?

faustina · 04/08/2023 19:34

The black regina, and the navy long sleeved smock midi. If you bought the sand coloured one and it was a lovely fit but a shit colour, for £24 you could always dye it, couldn't you!

Dee1224 · 04/08/2023 19:43

Good idea @faustina - I have been thinking about have a go at a dye job!

clowniform · 04/08/2023 19:50

Thank you @Noeggsontoast I love the faced waistband of the patchwork skirt too, but struggle to pair it with anything other than white. All my navy tops are the wrong tone -- admittedly none are from Toast 🤔
@ScottishMouse you're tempting me to buy the latest Ikat jacket!

ScottishMouse · 04/08/2023 20:18

@clowniform I think the new ikat jacket is slightly different. It doesn’t have the elasticated cuffs, for example. But I love the fabric. I’ll be looking out for it in a sale for sure.

AmethystMoonShine · 04/08/2023 21:30

Thanks for the tip off @faustina I've ordered some of those Beaumont Organic dresses. I’ve ordered the Regina in black and the Odessa in navy and cobalt blue. I’ve ordered each in S and M as the website said both are oversize and as a high street 12 I could be either depending on the fit. Such amazing bargains if they fit 🤞🏼

faustina · 04/08/2023 21:48

@AmethystMoonShine - I think the navy dress I ordered was the Odessa. Hope they're ok - but if they aren't it's honestly the easiest shop in the world for returns. The cobalt was very tempting too!

AFingerofFudge · 04/08/2023 22:29

I have caved in quickly and ordered "the" trousers in indigo. Arriving Monday hopefully!
