Thoughts on this coat?

I love the style on the model, the leisurely coolness about it- however I worry I will end up looking like an elderly ( I’m in my mid 40s)

It's seriously dull. I hate beige anything as it says nothing about your personality.

It is very beige. I am afraid it gives off pensioner vibes - not trendy, living best life pensioner, but member of Neighbourhood Watch who twitches lace curtains pensioner.

If you're a pensioner who likes garden centres, it's perfect.

Sometimes garments which are boring and aging are made to look magically 'cool' by the young beauty of the model and the styling used alongside it. And we need to remind ourselves that us mere mortals will look shit in it.

However - In this case even the young beautiful model doesn't look good in it!

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I actually like it!

I think it pairs well with what the model is wearing, looks like it would be suitable for spring / autumn when it's not freezing but coat weather too

I think it does look good on the model actually. But on anyone who isn't a model it will look like my DMIL.

It looks practical and inoffensive- which is why it’s getting pensioner vibes. It would be fine if you style it well, but will you always style it well or will you throw it on over jeans and a jumper then zip it up because it’s raining and then look like someone’s Nan? Which is fine if you are happy to look like someone’s Nan.

im not a big fan of effort clothes, the ones that by themselves look a bit shit. There are lots of thin waterproof coats out there that would look better- you could go for something like this in a different colour and it would be better.
