Thoroughly enjoying these casual trousers! The olive striped tee combi doesn't work so well, the lys did but i didn't take a pic.

These are lovely. Space check/ticking stripe and indigo stripe?

That's them, wearing the space check now with an oversized white tee.

Dee1224 · 25/06/2023 11:16

Loving the outfits @ilovecherries and @dudsville .

@dudsville - what are your thoughts on the olive tee? It’s on my wishlist and I was wondering about sizing and length.

dudsville · 25/06/2023 11:24

Hi @Dee1224 , what I'm wearing here is a large and I'm a hs 12 up top. It's boxy, and I worried it might be a smidgen too wide but the arm holes are perfect, no sneaky peaks, and I'm happy with it. It's a really nice tee, the usual nice stripe and unusual shape, soft fabric. I think being boxy means it's shorter (and those striped trousers need either something tucked or longer, this is the wrong length for them, unless you're shorter in the body? I'm almost excatly half and half between torso and legs.

Dee1224 · 25/06/2023 11:29

Thanks for that @dudsville - I have short legs and a longer body, (I pretend to be tall sitting down 😂).

I really like the tee, though I suspect I would prefer it longer on me. I will give it a go if it’s still available once I have returned some of the large order that is coming tomorrow.

dudsville · 25/06/2023 11:31

that made me laugh!

dudsville · 25/06/2023 11:35

Is your pond dress coming tomorrow?

Countmeout · 25/06/2023 11:50

What size did you get in the Alix @AFingerofFudge ? I hoped they were the old sized ones. They are lovely material.

AFingerofFudge · 25/06/2023 11:53

@Countmeout they are the old sizing I think. I got the 12 which fit comfortably- I'm a 14.

OftenOrange · 25/06/2023 12:00

@dudsville @ilovecherries Both looking spot on in the trousers.
Now wishing I’d ordered the dark stripey ones , are they a thick linen or more like the Space check ?

dudsville · 25/06/2023 12:20

I would have said the two fabrics feel the same, but I just went up and did a touch test - the blue ticking are thicker. Noticeably so, but not heavy...??? I'm not good at describing linen as I've had so little of it.

Countmeout · 25/06/2023 12:56

Thank you @AFingerofFudge . Mine are due tomorrow.

Dee1224 · 25/06/2023 13:27

@dudsville - yes, Pond is landing tomorrow, together with gingham dress, sails stripe dress and linen panelled trousers. How about you?

dudsville · 25/06/2023 13:29

Similar! Pond, red check, and the sail stripe trousers.

Dee1224 · 25/06/2023 13:32

Nearly a twin shop🤣

dudsville · 25/06/2023 13:44

😂

Stoic123 · 25/06/2023 14:24

Twinnies!

I've got the pond dress arriving tomorrow, the navigation scarf and the starfish lounge jacket.

Extra bedlinen and replacement cord culottes on the way but tomorrow are the last of the 'sales gambles'. Not sure there is much left to tempt me if further reductions- maybe the crosshatch gown.

Surprised so many gowns are left at this stage of a sale as they normally go more quickly. Maybe we are all at peak gown capacity. Some nice ones too.

dudsville · 25/06/2023 14:26

Pond Triplets!

There's so much left over isn't there @Stoic123

Dee1224 · 25/06/2023 14:37

I was thinking the same - usually nightwear is blink and you miss it!

Dee1224 · 25/06/2023 14:42

I also think they are being slower in adding returns to the sale site than usual. I know they had a big restock on Thursday, but I am sure there was a more constant dripfeed of returns in previous years and at all times of the day/night!

Given sizing issues and the cost of items, (even at sale prices), I can’t believe that they aren’t getting lots of returns on a regular basis.

What do others think?

Countmeout · 25/06/2023 14:42

I prefer a full length gown which they don’t seem to have very often now.

Dee1224 · 25/06/2023 14:43

Ah yes, @Countmeout - I would make room for another gown if it was full length!

MiracleToast · 25/06/2023 14:44

I could make room for the lotus gown 😏

Dee1224 · 25/06/2023 14:46

🤣me too @MiracleToast ne too!

Stoic123 · 25/06/2023 14:55

Lotus is probably the most versatile gown in terms of wearing as a summer evening coat. Where's a Riviera Villa when you need one?
