@Marlowqueen , I'm 5'6.5"(! I'm not giving in to losing my 5'7" status!) And most of the toast dresses i have come to my mid to upper calf.

Countmeout · 07/06/2023 18:17

I’m sorry @ScottishMouse tgat pattern placement would annoy me too and I couldn’t Unser it.

@Marlowqueen i think the crepe dresses come up longest . The length they give for each dress gives a fair indication.

Countmeout · 07/06/2023 18:18

unsee it🤦‍♀️

Saurus72 · 07/06/2023 18:21

@Marlowqueen They usually include the model’s height in the description.

I’ve ordered both colours of the Selma dress, in my usual Toast size and my RL size, so we’ll see. Haven’t had any Toast parcels since my v small socks/gloves sale purchase in the March sale so v excited. Really hope one of them works out. Also very glad to have had this new stock drop before the sale so I don’t make any consolation purchases that I don’t really need. (Reader, it’s highly doubtful that no unnecessary sale will be made. But let’s play along.)

@ScottishMouse i love your jacket and while I don’t have doubts over the pattern it’s a substantial purchase so I think you must be 100% happy with it.

MiracleToast · 07/06/2023 16:58

Oh my goodness the boat neck in pebble! 😍

She’s a beauty isn’t she? I can’t make that dress work, I’ve tried in both colours to no avail. The size small (rl size 14 🙄) is perfect on my shoulders and arms but too small on the bust. It’s very voluminous on the bottom so it’s sack-like if I size up. Devastated.

ScottishMouse · 07/06/2023 18:31

I tried that dress too @Saurus72 and it was weird on the shoulders on me. Such a shame as it is beautiful and that new colour is fab.

You’re absolutely right about the jacket. I would say it is 99% perfect as I love everything else about it. I’m wondering if I might try ordering another to see if the pattern placement is any better (it is different on the one online so maybe…).

applecatchers36 · 07/06/2023 18:34

My toast outfit today was the Toast Navy Hampton linen knit with some Toast khaki high waisted cotton trousers. Felt comfortable for changing temp from cool morning to warm afternoon ...

ilovecherries · 07/06/2023 18:53

Marlowqueen · 07/06/2023 18:00

Pls ease can someone tell me what the length of the dresses is like in relation to your height. I’m 5.8 and like a long dress length. Does Toast fit the bill and are they worth money.

I’m 5’7, and most hit me mid calf. I have a linen easy dress that hits at a very unattractive spot on my knee. I wear that in the garden but don’t tend to go out in it as it’s either too long or too short.

I used to be a smidge short of 5’8. I was so upset when the nurse broke the news to me last year that I’d lost nearly an inch. I’m hanging on grimly now!

@dudsville - today's outfit was a cheap cotton H&M dress but vastly lifted by a Toast Kantha jacket in reds and oranges.

Off to look at the new stuff......

dudsville · 07/06/2023 19:25

Isn't it weird @ilovecherries ? It's a bizarre knock at my pride to be losing height! I have reasonably good posture but i make even more of an effort now!😅

Snowyowl78 · 07/06/2023 19:32

@Marlowqueen im only 5’3 and have to have everything taken up! Even trousers too.

faustina · 07/06/2023 20:06

@Marlowqueen - the reviews are quite useful for dress length, also now they seem to state the height of the model which is very helpful. Luckily they do free returns for most dresses so perhaps try some on? Hope you find something you like!

MiracleToast · 07/06/2023 20:52

That’s really useful for sizing @Saurus72 and @ScottishMouse —looks like I’ll maybe need to size down on that one if I try it and not go with the ‘new’ sizing.

I missed the ‘todays outfit’ post earlier—I was pottering about in a plumo linen artists dress in navy that I’ve had for around 6 years after picking it up in the sale, with a pink cross back apron, the Toast raffia hat and v old Birkenstocks, and a sprig of lavender! Exceptionally hot in the highlands again today so this was good to keep the sun off whilst in the garden.

The new drop excites me with all these lovely shades of green. It does however spring a dilemma. I imagine I’ll wait to see what makes it into the sale before ordering any new stock.

Glad to hear people are loving some of the new items.

lordloveadog · 07/06/2023 23:08

Today wearing brown leaf print dress from last summer for work - admired by 3 colleagues! And a blue check crinkle from the autumn for cooking and pootling in garden after work.

Nothing in the new drop really biting me yet. Hoping for some nice knitwear and nightwear in the sale.

lordloveadog · 07/06/2023 23:10

Solidarity with pp with over-large head. Can't buy ladies hats at all. Some of my dresses are looking a bit too oversized now because I've been at the gym a lot in last few months, but no amount of gym is going to get me into the hats.

AFingerofFudge · 08/06/2023 10:12

I'm going to be really torn about whether to spend my money on the sale or on some of these lovely items

Saurus72 · 08/06/2023 10:24

Oh @AFingerofFudge that dress is gorgeous! There have been very few things I’ve even considered buying this year (only bought one full price dress until yesterday), now there are loads. Agree, the sale offerings will need to be really special to make me not buy this embroidered dress, I know I would get tons of wear out of it. Looks like things are back on track for me at Toast which is v good news.

FiddleFigs · 08/06/2023 10:38

Just went into my account to see what I had on my wishlist (in preparation for any sale) and it's completely empty 😭 There was quite a lot on it! Has anyone else lost theirs?

dudsville · 08/06/2023 11:28

I'm off to check out that checked top @AFingerofFudge !

My wishlist is still there @FiddleFigs , has yours come back? (sorry to ask but were you logged in?)

dudsville · 08/06/2023 11:35

Damn it, they've put out a really cute set of seersucker pjs in a blue/green... I do not need more pjs.........damn it.

FiddleFigs · 08/06/2023 11:39

@dudsville - yes I logged in specifically to review it.

Ah well, probably a good thing, as I couldn't remember half of what was on it in the first place! And I probably don't need to add to my wardrobe.

Stravaig · 08/06/2023 11:45

@dudsville Isn't it pretty! I've bookmarked the nightdress as a hypothetical house dress.

Saurus72 · 08/06/2023 12:15

Love those PJs!

Countmeout · 08/06/2023 12:26

yes a few tempting things this time. I’ve bought the Molloy scarf as I got the other colour way for my birthday and have worn it so much.
Im not anticipating wanting anything in the sale but who knows?
I love that blouse too @AFingerofFudge .
