Anyone that looks bigger than a Sylvanian family rabbit in a picture is branded a 16+ on Mumsnet. Despite it being a statistic impossibility, the majority of posters claim to be a size 8.

Planet Mumsnet - where anyone who dares upload a photo of themselves gets several dress sizes and twenty years added for their sheer audacity.

@Skinnermarink I don't find that at all! People made sensible guesses based on the picture available. I wouldn't have guessed the size I originally did based on the second photo but I definitely wouldn't have said 10. That's not mean, I think I just have a realistic view of size.

There are a lot of very obviously not sensible guesses.

I am surprised you are a size 10/12, and can only put it down to vanity sizing. Sitting down you look size 16-18 to me, and a size 16 standing. Sizing has definitely changed.

I find Tu sizing very generous so the dress may be a 12 but I'd say more a 16.

I saw 10-12 straight away. Not sure what everyone else is taking and I definitely don't want it! I would be a size 28 if I dared post a photo of myself 🥴😆. On a related note, those awful baggy dresses the world is intent on wearing only look slimming hanging off skeletons. To be avoided if under 5.6 or over size 8 (imvvvvho)

I have read all your updates so I am too late for guessing, but just wanted you to know that I PROMISE my guess was a size 10. I think you look fab! I have no idea how people thought over a size 16! Honestly you look much slipper than that.

OP it’s a fat person dress! I would have picked it when I was larger. Shows off the boobs and hides any flabby arm tops or large belly/hips. It doesn’t show off your figure. Not to say it’s not nice but that’s why you’re getting these responses.

Your about the same size as my sister so I’d say 18

Could just be an unflattering dress or angle if you’re smaller but I’d say about a 16

She's obviously a 12 in the photo standing up where you can see her actual waist. In the photo sitting down, because the dress has so much floaty material gathered around her waist, it gives the illusion she is much bigger than she actually is.

I have skim read because I just knew people would say 18-20. Can't roll my eyes far back enough. OP, looks nowhere near a 16+ shows how disordered people are on here regarding size. That's giving them the benefit of the doubt and and assuming they are not just being cunts 😁
