What size would you say I am from this photo?

I won't be offended, no ED or anything like that going on. I'm just wondering what size I look in this pic?

I think we often fall into a trap of buying clothes we like the look of instead of ones that flatter and suit our shape. The fact is you have bought a dress that makes you look 3 to 4 sizes bigger than you are. That alone would be enough for me to add it straight to the charity pile.

Your comment about a proper fitting interests me, as I buy M&S bras and feel they don't make me look my best. It seems that different bras are different sizes on me, when surely I should need the same size whichever bra I tried?

I think you got such a mixed range of guesses OP because we don't know how tall you are and we can't see the size /shape of your head, so people are unable to put your body into context .

Have a look at the BooborBust Facebook page and join. They explain that we all have different styles of boobs. Mine point outwards and are quite wide set so I can't wear a plunge style - I just fall out when I lean forward! If your boobs are close set you need a plunge with a low gore. I have to wear a high gore (the bit in the middle) and more of a balconette or full cup. M&S bras are ok as long as you fully understand what style you need. Their cup sizes can be a bit off so, again, you need to know how your bra should fit. A new bra should fit on the first hooks, not the tightest and should not ride up your back. Bravissimo are very good if you can get to one, otherwise find an independent store that offer a good range of makes eg Fantasie, Freya, Panache, Triumph. The first time I was fitted properly (a 34DD to a 30FF - yes, really) I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror. I looked slimmer and younger. Good bras are expensive but once you know your make and style you can find last year's colours much cheaper online.

Some unnecessarily bitchy responses on here. OP doesn't look anywhere near a 16 in the full length photo. Some of you are dripping in jealousy.

OP, I think it's too much dress for you. There's too much fabric which is swamping your lovely figure.

I'm a bit concerned about the size of those chips and other things on the table though. If you're a size 16, they must be huge.

I would've said 12 at the most. I think people tend to have a skewed vision of how they themselves look, hence the bigger size replies (it's the same with age).
