I won't be offended, no ED or anything like that going on. I'm just wondering what size I look in this pic?

What size would you say I am from this photo?

12 to 14

Toenailz · 01/06/2023 17:42

I can't get over the guesses of sizes 18/20. I'm not being nasty, but they must be taking the piss, surely? I hate to say it but I have a feeling some of these 'guesses' have been made to put you down.

My guess was a 12, till I read on. And I was assuming you weren't quite short. I get for example a size 16 would look very different on a tall person to a shorter one, but a size 20 ffs? Give over. You looked nowhere close in the first pic.

TheShellBeach · 01/06/2023 17:44

22 to 24

Yy but there's a lot of misogynists and trolls on here now
(waits to be deleted since I was deleted yesterday for making the exact same observation when posters were obviously just being gfs).

crabbyoldappletree · 01/06/2023 17:47

It doesn't look like you're wearing a very supportive bra. Even when standing (and it's obvious you're slim) you need to hoik them up a bit! Sitting down, it's the bossom that gives a more curvy appearance, when standing you don't look curvy at all...just perfect.

fireflyloo · 01/06/2023 17:50

Not seen the replies, but I'd say 16/18

Dinosaurhearmeroar · 01/06/2023 17:55

Size 12 x

fireflyloo · 01/06/2023 17:56

Just seen the second picture. I'd have said a 14, but sizes in shops vary. TU clothes have vanity sizing tbh as the dress I have is an 8 and I'm usually a 10/12.

I think you might be right. See post previous to yours. 22-24. Some nasty folk on here.

I wish that people would stop doing the how big do I look, how old do I look threads.

3peassuit · 01/06/2023 18:03

Really hard to say. At a guess somewhere between 12 and 14.

Blueberry40 · 01/06/2023 18:04

16

Vintagecreamandcottagepie · 01/06/2023 18:04

16

Linkstolondon · 01/06/2023 18:05

I’d say 18.

Vintagecreamandcottagepie · 01/06/2023 18:06

Woops, just seen update. I agree with what's said uptrend, your arms look spender but that dress doing you no favours when sat down low like that!

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 01/06/2023 18:11

Dont forget that you can take 10 pictures of the same person, same outfit and when you look through you only like two of them.
I think you got caught in an off-moment. Looks lovely standing up but sitting down, the very wide sleeves and not well taken photo do make it look like a larger size, not that it matters at all.
Don'tt worry about it. Hope no one in real life made a "comment" if so ignore it.

JudgeRudy · 01/06/2023 18:11

This isn't really about you looking bigger than you are, it's mostly about posture and angle of photo
You look slimmer standing up but I'd say you could probably have gone down a size with the dress. I get youre 'unbalanced' but the dress is hardly fitted so your hips/bum/tum would fit in it OK.

Readytogogogo · 01/06/2023 18:13

Depends on your height . 14-20

Westfacing · 01/06/2023 18:13

You look lovely in the very cheerful dress but I am very surprised that it's a size 10 - it must be the pattern or do you have very large droopy breasts?

Tootsietwo · 01/06/2023 15:42

Wow thanks for all the quick replies! Really interesting to read.

I'm a size 10 top and 12 bottom. Yes, dress from TU, size 10, gorgeous dress and I felt lovely in it but I was shocked to see how much bigger I looked in all the photos!

It's the reason why almost all clothes models need at most a very small cup size.

I'm 'top heavy' too, 32H, usually wear a small or size 8/10 but have never seen a photo of myself where I don't look much larger.

Sigh.

I don't have particularly large boobs, C cup. Bit of droopage after BFing the DC many moons ago.

Yeh, I think I could have gone down a size. Such a shame you can't try clothes on in sainsburys anymore.

I can’t believe it’s the same person sitting and standing tbh!!

I didn’t guess but based on first photo I would’ve said 14-16, second photo size 10.

Agee with pp who said the next size down would probably have been better
