I won't be offended, no ED or anything like that going on. I'm just wondering what size I look in this pic?

What size would you say I am from this photo?

No doubt it's been said already but I do find Sainsbury's TU clothing quite generously sized so I might be a 10 there but 12 elsewhere, for example.

EbonyRaven · 01/06/2023 20:28

Thirtyandflailing · 01/06/2023 20:08

Your about the same size as my sister so I’d say 18

You're not allowed to be honest on here @Thirtyandflailing you MUST tell the OP that she looks a size 10, lest you be accused of being nasty, and vitriolic, or jealous, or a cunt. (Nice @pillsthrillsandbellyache do you kiss your mother with that mouth?) Wink

Kittykatmeowzers · 01/06/2023 20:29

I think it’s the sleeves that hide your figure…imagining the sleeves away, I’d have said a 10 in the photo of you standing

Comedycook · 01/06/2023 20:29

pillsthrillsandbellyache · 01/06/2023 20:24

I have skim read because I just knew people would say 18-20. Can't roll my eyes far back enough. OP, looks nowhere near a 16+ shows how disordered people are on here regarding size. That's giving them the benefit of the doubt and and assuming they are not just being cunts 😁

I'm a 16 and look like the op in the first photo. In the standing up one she is much slimmer than me. Photos can be really deceiving. In the sitting down one, some of the fabric has gathered and is sticking out...it makes the op look bigger.

Comedycook · 01/06/2023 20:31

I bought a dress with sleeves like that...they really aren't flattering

SirChenjins · 01/06/2023 19:45

There you go. Number 1.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

blondiepigtails · 01/06/2023 20:38

Are you wearing the right size and shape of bra. A proper professional bra fitting could make all the difference to your outline. M&S are not great. They are notorious for selling too big in the band and too small in the cup, therefore not enough support. 34DD in M&S was actually 30FF from a proper fitting.

DemBonesDemBones · 01/06/2023 20:42

@pillsthrillsandbellyache some people are definitely 'disordered' about size on here, that's for sure.

Tootsietwo · 01/06/2023 20:43

EbonyRaven · 01/06/2023 19:36

@SirChenjins I am not going to tell the OP she looks like a size 10, when I think she looks size 16 just to massage her ego, or to please people like you who clearly cannot BEAR people actually being honest, and having a different opinion. Confused

I'm not sure how posting a bad photo can be classed as fishing for compliments. If I wanted compliments surely I'd post a lovely photo?!

Nothing wrong with being a size 16 but I'm not. I'm a 10/12 always have been and I've got clothes from lots of different shops. Maybe I'm a size 16 compared to sizes from a few decade's ago but unless you only wear vintage clothing then you're probably a larger size than you would have been back than too. It's all relative but by today's standards I'm a 10/12.

Yeh I'll look into that, thanks.

Just seen your update! Obviously just the picture angle and the cut of the dress.

Knowivedonewrong · 01/06/2023 20:58

Some of the replies on here! Jesus! Who's opened the cunt cupboard?

itsabigtree · 01/06/2023 21:01

Hard to say as not straight on. Angle can thwart things but at a guess 14-16

MrsCremuel · 01/06/2023 21:17

14 at first glance but the dress isn’t flattering and you could be a 12

Anissue · 01/06/2023 21:19

14

ValancyRedfern · 01/06/2023 21:20

Agree with a PP you are definitely bigger than a C cup, and most likely a much smaller back size than you think. M and S measured me as a 36D when I was a 30G. Get yourself to a Bravissimo or John Lewis asap for a proper fitting.

Anissue · 01/06/2023 21:21

Seen your update, it’s the dress/position you’re sitting in

Alliolly · 01/06/2023 21:27

Ah OP it's just the dress.
I love the colours and was really tempted last week when they had the 25% off. But I tried it on in store and it made me look 2 sizes bigger

Blueskybird · 01/06/2023 21:34

Sitting down photo is just not very flattering you look a completely different silhouette standing up. You look lovely keep wearing it!

SlashBeef · 01/06/2023 22:00

I've enjoyed reading through this. Good old classic MN responses making you out to be positively enormous and in need of immediate bariatric surgery!
Just a bad pic OP, you look great in the second photo.

nahwhale · 01/06/2023 22:01

Tootsietwo · 01/06/2023 15:42

Wow thanks for all the quick replies! Really interesting to read.

I'm a size 10 top and 12 bottom. Yes, dress from TU, size 10, gorgeous dress and I felt lovely in it but I was shocked to see how much bigger I looked in all the photos!

It's the dress seriously. The sleeves aren't right. I was like 14? Same as me but then I looked again and was like nah more like 12.

nahwhale · 01/06/2023 22:04

Westfacing · 01/06/2023 18:13

You look lovely in the very cheerful dress but I am very surprised that it's a size 10 - it must be the pattern or do you have very large droopy breasts?

Don't be ridiculous

Screamingabdabz · 01/06/2023 22:27

Sorry op but I would burn that dress. It’s totally unflattering and that pattern is hideous. You can do much better.

NotMyMill · 01/06/2023 22:38

Skinnermarink · 01/06/2023 19:26

Anyone that looks bigger than a Sylvanian family rabbit in a picture is branded a 16+ on Mumsnet. Despite it being a statistic impossibility, the majority of posters claim to be a size 8.

😂😂😂😂😂 this made me laugh so much “ a sylvanian family rabbit”
