Non-wired supportive bras? DD+! Lemonade dolls?

I’m desperately looking for a decent, non-wired support bra or crop top.

I’ve seen many adverts for Lemonade Dolls recently - are they any good?

I just want comfort and have my boobs hoiked up enough that they look decent for work. The crop tops I wear at home are on their way out and give me a mono boob 😩

I’m a 36DD usually.

I'm a 38F and I'm afraid I was disappointed by Lemonade dolls. They were barely lifted from where they'd be without any bra and that's with the back and shoulder straps adjusted and tightened within an inch of their lives. Give them a try, their colours are so cute, but they're maybe better suited to home wear.

vestanesta · 17/05/2023 13:59

I have a reasonable bra from M&S actually - am a 36e

Not as amazing as the underwires efforts I used to wear back in the day but enough shape and support for a smart top to
Look ok.

I find M&S Flexifit bras very comfortable and adequately supportive. I used to wear underwires but gave up as they were way too uncomfortable. I wear a 38G

I have a Lemonade Dolls bralette and it is cute. Manners London do crop tops and vests with no fastening at all and they are magically very supporting and uplifting

FfeminyddCymraeg · 17/05/2023 16:31

Thanks for the recommendations and comments on Lemonade Dolls.

I’ll definitely check out the M&S and Manners London one too.

My boobs and back thank you!

I'm a 28F so we're talking a lot less volume than that cup size at bigger bands, but my go-to is the Freya Deco wireless. I never wear underwires ever and those give me great shape and support. I also like the M&S cami bras which aren't as good a fit and shaper but are cheaper.

Sparkletastic · 17/05/2023 16:48

Another vote for M&S Flexifit - they are great and so comfortable.

Seconding these ones, am a 40E and find them very comfy. Barely wore a bra during covid so couldn’t return to underwire!

WonderingWanda · 17/05/2023 18:08

I'm pleased to read these replies, I looked at the lemonade dolls bra's the other day and thought they looked a bit unsupportive. Glad to read some good recommendations for other makes.

LividHouse · 17/05/2023 18:09

Molke.

Not pretty, but I’m around a 34K and won’t wear anything else now.

tt9 · 17/05/2023 18:25

have you tried bravissimo? tbh most ladies are wearing the wrong size to start as most retailers give you a bigger width and not sufficient cup size. for example, I was wearing 38d... went to bravissimo and I was actually a 30g! my many years of excruciating back pain disappeared overnight. they have a lot of non wired options although I prefer wired because I need the support.

bloodyfootprint · 17/05/2023 18:43

Totally unglamorous but Tesco of all places do a maximum support bra for £8, 38F and really happy with it. Got my first as an emergency during lockdown when I couldn't go anywhere else and never looked back.

hinterkitten · 17/05/2023 18:45

I'm a 34GG and my favourite bras are Sugar Candy (the bralette in XL). I like Molke too for comfort and decent lift/support though the Sugar Candy ones don't show as much around some of the necklines I wear and give a bit more boob separation so look better under some clothes.

YoucancallmeKAREN · 17/05/2023 19:00

M&S Flexifit are really comfortable and offer decent support.

MrsLeonFarrell · 17/05/2023 19:02

I love Molke bras for non wired support.

Scirocco · 17/05/2023 19:34

GG here, the comfiest ones I have are from bravissimo.

timtam23 · 17/05/2023 19:41

These DD+ seamless crop tops from Sainsbury's are great, I bought one after a recommendation on another S&B thread and liked it so much I went back and bought a few more to replace my other bras. They are so comfy but provide good support and there is no monoboob at all. They come in black or white but unfortunately they seem low in stock at the moment and some sizes are out of stock.

I'd go for a Bravissimo for a fitting and try some Elomi bras.

Underwired but you wouldn't know it. Most comfortable bra I've ever worn.

Cheletastic · 17/05/2023 20:13

I have a few Molke bras, bit of a faff getting them on but much more supportive than most other non wired bras, and I've tried most. I'm a 34hh/J

Yep flexifitcate great.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 17/05/2023 20:20

I'm a 30E. I like M&S crop tops, but these from John Lewis are even better. I find the key with crop tops etc is to size by your torso circumference, not your cup size, otherwise they aren't supportive enough.

These look lovely. Are they at all supportive?

chaosmaker · 17/05/2023 20:24

I loved Less Bounce bras which now seem to have merged with Boobydoo they specialise in sports bras that are really comfy. I like the shock absorber and wore them for months but have reverted back to underwire now. I'm 36G

Redebs · 17/05/2023 20:51

Do they still make Triumph Doreen? They were a sturdy beast of a bra!
