Non-wired supportive bras? DD+! Lemonade dolls?

I’m desperately looking for a decent, non-wired support bra or crop top.

I’ve seen many adverts for Lemonade Dolls recently - are they any good?

I just want comfort and have my boobs hoiked up enough that they look decent for work. The crop tops I wear at home are on their way out and give me a mono boob 😩

I’m a 36DD usually.

I find M&S Flexifit bras very comfortable and adequately supportive. I used to wear underwires but gave up as they were way too uncomfortable. I wear a 38G

Another vote for flexfit from M&S. I wear 40DD and these are now the only bras I own. Wish they still did the dark teal colour though…

30gg here - bravissimo Zara converted me to non-underwire after 30 years of wearing underwire. So comfy and supportive enough for everyday life.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 20/05/2023 08:11

Do they come in a 30, @Goustronomer? That’s always the problem for me with non-wired: they usually start at 32, which is too wide, so not supportive. You’re not allowed to have big norkage and a narrow back, apparently! So I’m excited if there’s an option out there.

Elomi bra's were a life changer for me

The flexifit: the woman in the picture looks monobooby to me. Does it have actual cups, so that there is a middle bit that hits your breastbone between your breast? The look I want is more "two pillows" than "bolster"

EversoDisorganised · 20/05/2023 10:20

It's not monobooby in the way a crop top is, completely flat across the front and pushing your boobs together, the cups are separate. But the middle bit between the cups doesn't quite touch my chest, even when I scoop, I have never liked the feel of wires against my chest though. It gives a much more natural look than either crop top or underwires IMO.

Yes a 30 back - they span two cup sizes so I get the 30gg/h.

These DD+ seamless crop tops from Sainsbury's are great, I bought one after a recommendation on another S&B thread and liked it so much I went back and bought a few more to replace my other bras. They are so comfy but provide good support and there is no monoboob at all. They come in black or white but unfortunately they seem low in stock at the moment and some sizes are out of stock.

I have two of these Sainsbury’s ones and they are extremely comfy, but still a bit of a mono-boob and the padding moves around too much especially when you wash them!

I went to primark for mine and I am a 38dd. They are very supportive and wear well. My boobs have never looked so good 😂😂😂

Maybe they're different ones, as the ones I linked have no padding, they're a thin but very elastic and supportive crop top

User24681 · 20/05/2023 23:44

Are any of the options mentioned already, suitable for feeding in?
I’m a 36HH & struggling to find anything comfortable / that also doesn’t show above my necklines for strappy or sleeveless tops.

RichTeaCheddars · 21/05/2023 07:56

For nursing bras try Bravado full cup options

Ladysaurus · 21/05/2023 07:58

GEMM high impact sports bra. There's no wiggle or jiggle (and I wear a Hcup). They're a bit more constructed than a crop top but definitely comfy, no wires, wide cushiony straps, wash well, and dont completely decimate your bank balance.

Never thought I'd be raving about a non underwired bra as a 38F but these ones from M&S are magic, I wouldn't even have tried it on if I hadn't been bra shopping and got chatting to the changing room attendant

I'd second the M and S bralette. Also recommended by a lady who worked there.

This site was recommended to me after breast surgery. Great selection of sports bras - many unwired. I tend to go for the shock absorber as my everyday brand. If you have a decent budget then I can't recommend Prima Donna highly enough. Ir's the "budget" version of Rigby and Peller but some of the non wired bras are gorgeous.
