Non-wired supportive bras? DD+! Lemonade dolls?

I’m desperately looking for a decent, non-wired support bra or crop top.

I’ve seen many adverts for Lemonade Dolls recently - are they any good?

I just want comfort and have my boobs hoiked up enough that they look decent for work. The crop tops I wear at home are on their way out and give me a mono boob 😩

I’m a 36DD usually.

I'm a 36H and my daughter ( with help from bravissimo online sizing tool) is a 34 F.
I get all my bras from Bravissimo and she tried 20 different styles recently and fits very diffetent brands and styles but we BOTH like these. We don't have a branch nearby so I order online and then use free returns - rather are quick to process them.
No monoboob, comfy and looks mice under clothes.

Molke! I'm a 40HH and will not even consider trying any other non-underwires bra now, it's the best I've ever had. I don't love the designs, but the comfort and support is worth it.

Can I ask what size in Molke you take? I bought my first Molke bra a couple of months ago in XL Mega, but I think I maybe need a lower cup size. There seems to be a lot of spare material in the cup in the Mega. I am much the same size as you in regular bra sizes.

How recently have you checked with a tape measure that you definitely are a 36 back? If not in the last year id double check that first

ActualMermaid · 21/05/2023 14:12

@sonjadog I'm an XL Mega and it fits me okay, but I think a lot can depend on the shape of your boobs. Might be worth looking at sizing down to the Super for you? I found loads of good advice on the Boob or Bust Facebook page! Smile

I am still on my own quest, thank you to you and posters for the thread and suggestions. My back and breasts thank you all too 😄

A couple of years back (and approaching 50) I took the plunge and went to a local lingerie boutique to get fitted and select around 4-5 bras that I wear in rotation. I’ve never looked back. I now go annually and replace.

As you get older your boob size changes quite dramatically and fluctuates with weight and hormone related stuff. It’s really essential to ensure that you are fitted correctly. I also learnt that having a ‘comfortable soft bra’ is often not best for your back, posture or overall ageing of your boobs. Also your clothes look better and you look trimer with a better fitting bra. I also learnt that fancy, lacy brightly coloured ones may work for your body better than modelled t-shirt bras. And that they can often be cheaper.

The wired bras that you think are uncomfortable are often badly fitted - or crucially in my case - you are not putting them on correctly.

As I go to a local boutique, I get discounts on what I’d normally pay for a Freya for example as the owner pays at cost and reflects this in the fee. It’s also just really nice to support a small local business and have that 121 attention. Getting the right bra has been life changing for me. The process takes well over an hour.

I am a 28 DD-G depending on brand. X

I love this thread, I currently have 1 bra that doesn't make me murderous with rage because it is slightly comfortable. Going to check all these out

Do not buy!!! They don't give refunds on sale items at all even if you're ordering multiple of the same to check sizing. You can only get exchanges/ credit notes. I wouldn't have a problem with this if It was made clear on buying but it wasn't until I applied for a refund and couldn't get one that I found out. I was told it was in the small print! Plus, the items are pretty but the sizing is inconsistent and the bras not supportive. Not worth the money in my opinion. Won't be ordering again and honestly considering reporting them to trading standards for their practises - I'm waiting for a reply from their customer service dept. We'll see how that goes!
