Non-wired supportive bras? DD+! Lemonade dolls?

I’m desperately looking for a decent, non-wired support bra or crop top.

I’ve seen many adverts for Lemonade Dolls recently - are they any good?

I just want comfort and have my boobs hoiked up enough that they look decent for work. The crop tops I wear at home are on their way out and give me a mono boob 😩

I’m a 36DD usually.

I’m an F cup. Worn wired all my life but have had to wear non wired for last couple of months after two breast lumpectomies. The M and S flexifits are amazing. Never going back!

have you tried bravissimo? tbh most ladies are wearing the wrong size to start as most retailers give you a bigger width and not sufficient cup size. for example, I was wearing 38d... went to bravissimo and I was actually a 30g! my many years of excruciating back pain disappeared overnight. they have a lot of non wired options although I prefer wired because I need the support.

I'd have suggested this in the past but they really aren't a) as good as they used to be b) since having DS I've been unable to wear unwired as they give me pain I never previously had (and yes I've changed size and accounted for that).

It's to do with shape.

MandS here.

I find M&S Flexifit bras very comfortable and adequately supportive. I used to wear underwires but gave up as they were way too uncomfortable. I wear a 38G

I love those, and have one in every colour. I am a 40F and they're brilliant. Much better than the M&S full support ones that don't really support that much. I have three plunge bras for when I am wearing something a bit low cut but they all have underwiring which I don't like, hence only wearing them with specific dresses/tops.

Oddsocks55 · 18/05/2023 12:42

These are fantastic, i bought one to try and now they're all I wear. Fits like underwired, but far more comfortable.

tt9 · 18/05/2023 14:05

I think it depends on what bra you go for. I've been wearing panache tango from bravissimo for almost 15yrs. no complaints. but I've never nursed, so wouldn't be able to comment on changes due to that.

I love my Doreen! 🤣

They make for a great silhouette and ability for nice, non-jiggly movement. The only non-wired bra I've ever found that comes anywhere near the stability of a wired bra.
I'm not too bothered by trying to look alluring in a bra; when the moment arises, the bra is removed 😂

I'd go for a Bravissimo for a fitting and try some Elomi bras.

Underwired but you wouldn't know it. Most comfortable bra I've ever worn.

Fab,aren't they?

ActualMermaid · 18/05/2023 14:48

Molke! I'm a 40HH and will not even consider trying any other non-underwires bra now, it's the best I've ever had. I don't love the designs, but the comfort and support is worth it.

EversoDisorganised · 18/05/2023 15:29

Another vote for the M&S Flexifit. Hated my Molke and gave it away though, the band was too thick, as were the straps, you had to wrestle it on and off and the crossover cups irritated me and made me feel wonky.

I step in mine and pull it up like a pair of trousers. Much easier.

weirdoboelady · 18/05/2023 18:11

Another vote for M & S Flexifit. I do find my enormous boobs get pressed together, but they don't look like a monoboob from the outside IYKWIM. Inexpensive, pretty and comfortable.

No, it really isn’t for me. My hips and bum are much larger than my chest. Even without the wrestling on and off it was hideous and uncomfortable.

Fab,aren't they?

Glad to meet another fan!!

The fitter described them to me as 'a bra company that really knows what they are doing' and she was spot on.

caringcarer · 18/05/2023 20:57

Google lilybras. They are very very comfortable. They have an offer on if you order 1 you get 3. I've just ordered my second pack.

They have wide stretchy straps and a big stretchy back so it smooths out any lumps. Also slims side boobs. Very stretchy and front opening.

GettingStuffed · 18/05/2023 21:04

I've bought a couple from Bravissimo, I'm a 38hh so m&s are too small. I think one was their own brand but I read the reviews as bralettes don't seem to have the support

hamustro · 18/05/2023 21:22

This one from Bravissimo is good. It's supportive and you get a bit of sausage boob but not as much as with other wireless bras. It can hoik my 34GGs up where they belong and they're quite heavy!

Some of the other Bravissimo ones don't have adjustable straps which I think is where they fall down (pardon the pun). Wireless bras without adjustable straps always seem to assume your boobs start about a foot down your chest so don't give any support.

FannythePinkFlamingo · 18/05/2023 22:20

Another Elomi fan here too. I'm 36H and have the Matilda in about 5 colours now. Underwired but you really wouldn't know.

Ecci · 19/05/2023 13:07

I'm a 34 GG and I wear these from Bravissimo

Totally comfortable and supportive.

I'm 36F and I love a Triumph Doreen bra. Works perfectly for me.

WizardinTraining · 19/05/2023 17:58

I’ve found the post surgery ones from M&S are surprisingly comfortable even though I haven’t had surgery - they’re supportive and the fabric is lovely and soft.

Gonners · 19/05/2023 19:13

Can I just thank everyone who recommended M&S Flexifit. I went and tried on four different sizes today - none of them the M&S size I had been wearing, which was visibly too big even on the hanger. I ended up with something that actually fits properly and is comfortable, with slight cleavage but no mono-boob. So I stocked up, based on the near-certainty that anything at M&S that fits will be discontinued. 🙄

It did make me wonder whether there has been size-inflation, or if it's just the style, because I've gone down a band size and (bizarrely) also a cup size.

Peacepudding · 19/05/2023 21:11

I recently discovered M&S flexifit. I'm a 32GG and they are surprisingly supportive and very comfy.
