Watching the Coronation today and couldn’t help but notice that all the royals just look so well polished. Camilla looked glowing and healthy, but pictures of her from her first marriage, she looked like a fairly average lady of her age. Same with Kate. She has always had good bone structure, nice hair etc, but since she married into the Royal family she just looks great. I eat well, exercise, have a good skin care routine, drink lots of water - all the things you’d think would help but I can’t imagine ever looking as well polished as any royal. What is their secret? Is it as simple as hair and make up done for them, or am I missing something?

My take home thought from the coronation was how great it would be to have someone to find you a dress that suited you and fitted perfectly .
Shopping for smart events is somewhat the bane of my life!

It's also reported that Charles never eats lunch.
The men have nearly all got a military background, so have been drilled in fitness and in presenting themselves, and in how to march, carry themselves properly.

And I guess the women will also have been taught to hold themselves straight and how to walk. It amazes me how they all walk elegantly in killer heals.

This perhaps will be an unpopular opinion. However I disagree that Kate looks good to be honest. Despite looking incredibly polished (which of course she has lots of help with). I actually don’t think she looks well at the moment, she looks very gaunt and far too thin.

She looked much better in the early days. I think when she looked a normal weight she looked far more beautiful and healthy. I also think being underweight can be aging as you lose volume in your face (Although perhaps not if you can afford cosmetic procedures like fillers and Botox).

I think the pressure of knowing you're in the public eye and the absolute miserable roasting you'll get if you put on an ounce means they exercise incredible self-control around their weight, drinking water, exercise etc. and not stepping out the front door without being done to the nines. And yes to time and all the other stuff that money can buy but you need self control at the root of it, no personal chef or trainer is going to leap in and stop you if you want to eat too much.

I know three female news journalists/presenters on telly, and they are all very slim with the most iron self control around food and drink. One said she always has Twitter comments on her mind about her appearance and tries not to care and focus on the job but it's hard not to!

I agree she is incredibly thin, and that’s with clothes on, once they are removed she must look somewhat emaciated. That can only be achieved with iron self control. It does not really look healthy, if you think about it.

It's also reported that Charles never eats lunch. I eat either breakfast or lunch never both. Ever. I’m for ever battling my weight.

I’ve been giving this question far too much thought!

One thing that struck me when I was looking at a photo of Kate and Sophie on the balcony yesterday is that they must have people on hand to do touch ups.

So as well as having their hair and make up done and looking good in the first place, I’m assuming hair and make up people would have, for example, been in Buckingham Palace yesterday do do touch ups, sort any weepy mascara, fix and smooth stray hairs. So when we see them again, they’re polished again.

I caught a bit of a programme about him the other day and there was footage of him water-skiing when he was in his twenties or thirties and I was struck by how fit his body was. Not fit as in I want to hit that, but just really fit, good muscle structure, lean, clearly incredibly fit at a time when that wasn't seen as particularly normal or necessary for men. He's not that lean anymore which is hardly surprising given his age, but he's clearly still fit for a man in his seventies, so yeah, diet, exercise, all of that sort of stuff.

Camilla went on a trip India with a bunch of friends and staff for beauty treatments and pampering for weeks on end. She didn't need to worry about the cost, hand over of booking time off.
If you had the same you'll glow too.

Someone needs to stage an intervention and wrestle that black eyeliner off her. Occasionally someone does, and she looks so much better without the heavy liner on her lower lid. (Bizarrely, MN is flagging this photo as sensitive content, but I promise it’s completely SFW!)

I agree with the comments about Kate looking older than 41 - she is stunning, groomed and polished but I can see already how scrawny her neck is and her eyes are crepey. I am well over ten years older than she is and my eyes and neck are now ageing.

Perhaps she is dealing with a sick family member which has taken it out of her at the moment? I think she wants to age gracefully (with a few tweaks). Doing a Lionel Ritchie or a Madonna isn't the result most clients want to achieve even if it is technically possible to give them a puffed up, smooth face.

Teeth, hair and skin...and being slim and well rested.

Not quite the same but my DC went to an extra curricular activity where a footballers kids went to....the wife/mum would always come dressed down in leggings, puffa coat and trainers but she was absolutely stunning and almost mesmerising. Perfect skin and hair

Wouldn’t surprise me if a large sum of money (or legal threats) were exchanged to make the rumour go away.

After all a rumour like that would be very damaging to Williams image.

It was made up ffs. Did you see the closeness between Rose's son and Prince George on Saturday. They are clearly the best of friends. I suppose the other rumour about them being brothers will appear next even though they look nothing like one another.
