How Do The Royals Look So Polished?

Watching the Coronation today and couldn’t help but notice that all the royals just look so well polished.

Camilla looked glowing and healthy, but pictures of her from her first marriage, she looked like a fairly average lady of her age.

Same with Kate. She has always had good bone structure, nice hair etc, but since she married into the Royal family she just looks great.

I eat well, exercise, have a good skin care routine, drink lots of water - all the things you’d think would help but I can’t imagine ever looking as well polished as any royal.

What is their secret? Is it as simple as hair and make up done for them, or am I missing something?

I agree she always looks amazing.

a full entourage, including chef, trainer, dresser, hairdresser, PA, etc

An unlimited budget

Unlimited beauty treatments

Time to do it all.

The RF hardly took this approach!!! Other than Diana and Philip, I can't think of a single good looking person they married. They married for connection and generally were v unattractive. Hence the most unfortunate looking RF we have today. Diana's offspring benefited from her genetic input.

I seem to go against the grain here but I don't think the Middletons are facially attractive either. Carol is very harsh and old looking and as are her daughters and the lad has no chin. But they are sporty and groom themselves impeccably

Looking older than your age isn't a crime! I don't like Kate's style, but if she does look so much older than she actually is - is there anything wrong with that, as long as she doesn't start marketing herself as some sort of youthfulness guru? Lots of people look older than their age, whether because they smoke, drink heavily, wear unflattering clothes, have genetics that make them look older - it's not a value judgement and I do think a lot of people think 'looking older than I think they should look' is indicative of some sort of moral failure on the person's part (and this often comes from people who would otherwise categorise themselves as body positive).

Not pegging.

Money, different kind of stress and people constantly on hand.

But the biggest thing I think they have is Time. Most of us spend our lives juggling the various demands on our time and managing the mental gymnastics of life. Take all that away and you've got so much time to focus on achieving and maintaining a certain look.

It’s absolutely not a bad thing, it’s just very unexpected given how much access a Royal has to the best healthcare and beauty treatments. And this thread is about these things hence people are commenting on KM looking much older than her years.

It makes me think that maybe she’s going through early menopause or she may have some health issues and could be on medication which is causing the rapid ageing. It does NOT make me think she’s morally inferior to someone who looks their age. That’s absurd.

@Usernamen that's fair and it wasn't really aimed at you. I just think 'looks old' is often used as a criticism (rather than just an observation) on here in a way that other similar looks-based comments (rightly) wouldn't be.

@kh123 😂no point using images that down demonstrate what I mean though and rather than just use words to describe I find pictures convey much more. My point is that it's grooming that makes them look so good. Facially they ain't great. And it's not surprising that people think Kate looks old when genetically all the women in the family do. It's also that figure/face thing. After a certain age if you run really thin, it ages you. Not meaning obesity will fill out the wrinkles but generally 5 kg will not make one look overweight but it will soften the face. Unfortunately the Middletons have gone the other way. They've all got thinner with age d the face suffers. That's their choice. That's what they prefer. Rock on them!
Rather than being harsh, people should take heart. You don't need to be born genetically gifted to look decent. But money helps

Diamonds. It's the diamonds.

Like film stars, we usually only see them After. Hair, makeup, dressing all done for them by people paid to do it.

Also - they are never obese. Sport, outdoors life (including killing things) and being very physically and mentally active.

Expensive makeup applied by the spatula by make up artists
Ongoing facials over a long period with specialist skincare
Regular hair appointments and treatments
Diets planned for them with food prepared
Time to exercise
Expensive clothes tailored to fit them

It's all those things together - and that's why we common people can't do it. I have a friend who looks like that. It's a full time job and costs a fortune.

They are regularly groomed, taken out to exercise, given the best feed, their manes and tails plaited and decorated, their hooves polished and oiled, their bodies decorated and ardorned with the highest quality tack, the most accomplished vets on call.

That's a bit harsh. Just googled Carol and she is 68! She doesn't look older than that and for someone so slim, her face is not very wrinkly. The Middleton women all have thin lips and small eyes. Their penchant for thick eyeliner tends to exacerbate this somewhat. The brother has a beard to disguise his lack of chin 😁

It's obvious Kate now has a bit of judicious botox and possibly other subtle tweaks, but they look good imo.

Victoria Beckham has been honest enough to admit that she lives on steamed fish/shellfish with veg and salad (undressed) without really having a day off -ever. There was a chef who had to cater for her at an Italian wedding and he was ripping his hair out in frustration because there was no compromise for the odd occasion.

They all look extremely average to me. I wouldn't look twice at any of them if I saw them across the pub.

They have time, money, lots of assistance to look their best, access to great gyms or personal trainers.
Also the men tend to marry photogenic women - I'm sure at some subconscious level they're looking for partners who will phograph well and have that innate well groomed quality .
