I feel that Sophie's Garden Party outfit didn't do much for her, that amount of pink gingham would have been put to better use as kitchen curtains. Suzannah London should have taken more care with the fit of the bust and encouraged Sophie to invest in a new bra.
I liked her pretty two tone hat by Jane Taylor, and it worked well with her hair tied back, but thought her spiky shoes were a silly choice for grass.

Sophie might have those plastic thingys you can put on your shoes that stop the heels sinking in to the grass @Eaumyword.

My in-laws once went to a garden party and MiL, who is a republican (but not a Republican!), had enough of her heels and decided to take them off and go barefoot! FiL was not pleased!

Slightly off-topic, but we watched Patrick Evans’ programe ‘Coronation Tailors: Fit for a King’ tonight, and absolutely loved it - it’s a deep dive into one of the tailoring companies that makes the ceremonial uniforms for the Household Cavalry and Guards regiments. It’s absolutely fascinating, and quite amazing. Plus giving a good window into the underlying commercial activity that an event like a Coronation creates.

It was really interesting.
