Have you had your colours done? What did you think?

I always said I'd never do it as I associate it with women in huge bright patterns and chunky necklaces. No idea why!

But decided to bite the bullet after realising my wardrobe is just every colour under the sun

I was surprised to be a deep/dark autumn. No idea I was surprised tbh but I was

It makes sense now I think about it more but I definitely wanted to be a bright summer or something!

I had colours done with house of colour . Best thing Iv done. Loved the consultant and followed her for a while first. I came up as brown summer.

I then went for style with her as enjoyed it so much but I don't think I'm the style she said as it doesn't feel right. Gamine. I don't think it suits me although some gamine styles do. All very confusing.

I've had my colours done 3 times over the years. Each time, the consultant (different ones because we've lived in different areas) has covered up my red hair. I've always been told I'm warm Spring. I love black and dark navy but they make me look ill. I take my colour swatches round the shops with me and whenever I've bought clothes in colours not in my palette, they've really not suited me at all. So was it worth the expense to have my colours done? Definitely.

For the fellow autumns looking for spring / summer clothes, FatFace, Uniqlo and Poetry all seem to have some of my colour options. This comes with a disclaimer that I've looked online only and not purchased anything yet....

They seem to specialise in muted colours @SunUpSunDown. Not so good for jewel winters like me. I don't think I have ever bought anything from Fatface because their colours just don't suit me.

Oh. And another vote from me for Kettlewell. Great colours (wash well and last, too)

@RampantIvy I can see how FatFace wouldn’t work for a winter. It’s odd how some brands only seem to cater for certain colours!
