Mine, antique (second hand!) 1930's. We had the wedding ring made to fit around it.

5 stone rose cut antique ring set in platinum with a yellow gold band.

Eternity ring 1840 yellow gold and platinum, platinum plain wedding band, white gold modern engagement ring

2.5 carats in the eternity as old rose cut diamonds so they're deep

1930s solitaire in platinum and gold with milgraining around the edges. My mother in law found it on the floor of a post office in the 1970s. The police never traced the owner and she said she never felt right wearing it so she happily gifted it to my husband when he said he wanted to propose to me. It's my dream ring 🥰

@ramanw as I jeweller my advice would be go in to a independent jewellers and try things on. Inspiration from others is great but you need to see the rings on your hand. Have fun!

Neither are an engagement ring as I didn't have one.
The diamond-shaped one was a 50th birthday present, the 4-stone half-hoop was second-hand, bought when I was 39 and had some damages from an accident. The jeweller wouldn't sell new as he thought it was too dear. He was known as 'Mr Pryor' although it wasn't his name. A lovely man, and I had many lovely things from him over the years.

DH picked himself the engagement ring, 18ct white gold rub-over solitaire, which I still love 20 years later. The wedding ring is actually the 18ct white gold diamond wishbone. We were so poor when we finally got married I pawned in some old jewellery to buy a nice wedding ring. I bought the thin 9ct white gold band for just everyday wear, but now wear them all together.

I wear it the other way up now we're married (plain band)
