We aren't married. Been together 9 years. 'Wedding ring is one of his mums from 70s. Other ring is one we had made last year to match it in the same metal.

My engagement ring is the one with 3 diamonds. Married for 25 years this year - DH chose it without me - and I still love it.

The ring with the pear shaped diamond and the V/wishbone shaped ring were both my mum's. (I don't usually wear them on the same hand - that was just for the photo.)

I love the look of it but I strongly advise against getting a pear shaped stone if you want to wear it every day. It catches on everything!!

Mine is simple, but the basket has tiny hearts under the claws. It's French, c.1890.

On a side note, anyone else horrified at the sight of their hands under the flash? ConfusedGrin

These are all so lovely. I still love mine, but my fingers have got so fat I can't get it on. It was a cheap one from H Samuel!

@shoppinglistgame if yours is diamond you really don't need to worry. They're super strong. I used to take mine off all the time as it had quite a high profile and got caught on everything.

I wanted one that reminded me of nature, so Emerald that looks like a flower. Originally wanted white gold but it looked horrible on me.

Mine, antique (second hand!) 1930's. We had the wedding ring made to fit around it.

My mum's 1940s ring which Dad couldn't afford but bought anyway. Many years later used as my own engagement ring, as DH couldn't know either of them it brought all 4 of us together.

Here is mine, quite newly engaged. I chose it, sapphire and diamonds. I wanted something different to my first engagement ring, which was just a solitaire and this jumped out at me
