Can I see people's engagement rings please!

I need some inspiration.

It’s beautiful - congrats!

I’ve gotten too fat to wear mine, it’s packed away in a cupboard some where, I’m sure it will turn up one day 😬🤞 I have a tendency to put things in “safe” places that turn up years later.

Anyway… when I bought mine I was told that my 9ct wedding band was better for everyday wear and my 18ct engagement ring should be worn as more occasional as it wouldn’t wear well every day. No idea how true that is. I did wear my wedding band daily but didn’t like wearing my engagement ring daily as it wasn’t practical especially changing nappies, I’d scratch my DDs with it.

I use to have my wedding band re coated ever 3-4 years.

Hi ladies....I am an older newly engaged woman at 72. My fiance is 79 and he propsed a few weeks ago with this ring. I just had to cry because I realized that love can come at any age........no matter how long you have been without love. Vintage mixed metals with a very dark blue sapphire and diamonds either side! I love, he picked so well.

I had a sapphire and diamond trilogy ring for my first engagement. It was absolutely gorgeous and as our divorce was more or less amicable I wore it for a long time afterwards. Now my daughter has it and wears it. I've asked that she doesn't use it as an engagement ring because her dad and I got divorced and it feels wrong.

I didn't have an engagement ring for my second marriage, we decided to marry quickly and as it was my second time I felt it was wrong. Stupid of me. We didn't even have wedding rings. Anyway I got this from my husband for my 50th and it's perfect.

Edwardian, old European diamonds in 18ct gold, art nouveau style. I've never seen anything like it. He bought it from an antique dealer in Paris when we were there for my birthday (he snuck out early in the morning to pick it up after finding the dealer online) and presented it to me over dinner at a gorgeous restaurant. It was perfect. The ring is perfect.

Congratulations to all the newly engaged! ❤️💍 so many beautiful rings. This is mine. We chose it together on the day of our 5th anniversary but we’re going to a big family wedding soon and want to wait until after that to tell anyone so I’m not currently wearing it.
