Ooo I wonder when there will be hints about what’s in it.

listsandbudgets · 08/07/2023 09:20

I gave in and got the Jet Set. In my defence I use the dermatologica anyway and given the cost of that alone is the same as the whole kit it was a no brainer. I think my mum will be getting a gorgeous liberty wash bag for her birthday. The rest I will use or donate to my daughter

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/07/2023 09:25

I was impressed with the Jet Set. Are we allowed to compare notes?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/07/2023 09:27

The Dermalogica cleanser was my reason/excuse too!

Bimblesalong · 08/07/2023 10:14

Argh I left the checkout too late on the calendar and it’s sold out 🙄. More money for future kit bargains tho! 😁

H3lloMums · 08/07/2023 11:01

I was tempted by that advent too - shame sold out!

LadyLapsang · 08/07/2023 11:43

@AprilLady Thanks for the heads up about the Net a Porter Advent calendar, my train was 35 minutes late so the delay repay paid for it!

Back21970 · 08/07/2023 11:44

My Jet Set arrived yesterday, very impressive for £55. I had £60 in credit so free almost!

The wash bag is gorgeous and I will probably gift to a friend as I have several already.

I only started my subscription earlier this year and almost forget I am putting £20 in a month so it felt like a real treat.

Looking forward to my second freebie box😀

Amazing deal but won't a lot of the products expired? Especially the makeup.

That was what gave me pause!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/07/2023 12:47

@Back21970 that's how I saw it. Free! As I've now decided not to save for the Advent Calendar.

BendyBusBuggy · 08/07/2023 19:11

Ah I'm gutted I missed that net-a-porter AC. I had it in 2021 and loved it (well, except the gua sha tool...).
I love the agent nateur Holi(oil) but it is so stupidly expensive there's no way I can buy it full price 😭

AprilLady · 08/07/2023 19:47

@LadyLapsang you’re welcome.

@BendyBusBuggy I’m also a fan of the agent Nateur oil/serum. I find most face oils too heavy for me, but it’s a really nice light oil. (Definitely wouldn’t buy it full price though 🙁) It was this plus a few other items that made it a good buy for me.

I generally don’t worry too much about expiry dates, most products stay fine for quite a while if they are sealed and stored in a cool place. It’s once they are opened that they deteriorate. There are exceptions of course - Vit C serums for example definitely degrade - but on the whole I expect almost everything in the calendar will be fine.

BurningTheToast · 08/07/2023 21:34

Net a Porter says one calendar left….

Just in case anyone was sad at having missed out. Get in there!

Lyn29 · 08/07/2023 22:57

Can somebody show me the link for the calendar? I can't find it anywhere?!

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 09/07/2023 01:41

Earlier in the day, before these last few posts, it was saying ‘one left’ but if I tried to add it to my basket it would immediately change to OOS. Reload the page, and it would revert to ‘one left’. So I think it’s just a quirk of their system. (I didn’t really want it, was just having a nose)

On a side note — I think it’s kind of an odd choice that NAP retains the ‘colour’ option for products like advent calendars and then lists them on the page as ‘colourless’ 😆

FredaFox · 09/07/2023 13:03

Gutted I missed out on the NAP advent calendar

Cyclingmummy1 · 09/07/2023 13:20

What are we all hoping for in this month's box?

I'm low on toner, serum and primer so they would be a win.

I've tons of hand cream so not fussed on that or body cream.

I love a scrub and a mask.

Please no more serums! I have enough to last several lifetimes.

I would like a perfume sample. And eye cream.

Pigtailsandall · 09/07/2023 14:02

I would love a perfume too, plus I'm low on my eye cream/serum. I also don't have a vit C serum so that would be my number one thing

I have loads of body scrubs/bath & shower products so I'm hoping no more of those. Also don't need more cleansers right now.

DaisyDando · 09/07/2023 14:02

I would like a scrub. I don’t know where I put that car air freshener. I also love a little perfume.

MavisMcMinty · 09/07/2023 14:33

Bubble bath required here. Actually had to buy some in Tesco yesterday, FFS. I’d also like a non-foaming micellar water cleanser (as I’m all out of that).

I don’t use hand creams or body creams and have about a thousand unopened ones lying about the place, so I really don’t want any more of them, and no messy body scrubs, thanks. No black eyeliners either, so hard and unflattering - I have dozens of unused ones. But I’m grateful for anything else!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/07/2023 16:07

Mavis, I pass all they black eyeliners on to DD. Aint nobody looks good in those after 40, unless applied with an extremely light hand and with the right colouring. Neither of which I have.

I have loads of serums, body creams etc. No dirty protest coffee shower scrub etc for me please in the box!

SwordBilledHummingbird · 09/07/2023 16:12

I'd love a scented candle and perfume, maybe make up too though that would be very hard to please everyone with. I don't want anything exfoliating, I'm drowning in various exfoliating scrubs, serums, lotions and potions, and none will get used up until winter at least. I also don't want shampoo, practically all shampoo irritates my scalp, I can use head and shoulders (or cheap equivalent) and that's it.
