These lovely kits with the lovely wash bags seem to be released roughly every month since I joined - is that the norm? They are so tempting, and if you hold your nerve they may reduce the price (like the Chosen by You kit).

AprilLady · 04/07/2023 16:41

For those interested, the attached pic shows the fab blue Iphis handbag that was part of the July 2022 GWP, together with the even better bigger grey Iphis tote from Feb 2021, both of which sold our very, very quickly. I use them loads - they are very practical and hard wearing.

Unfortunately no sign they are likely to do one in the near future again….

I use separate SPF in the summer, combined SPF in the winter. Works for me. Quite keen to try the BS drops in the new kit as a way to test a different form of SPF for summer.

That is cruel @AprilLady , just cruel

PomRuns · 04/07/2023 18:52

I also managed to get the larger tote - I’m hoping those days aren’t gone (plus Advent season remains good !)

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 04/07/2023 19:26

@AprilLady is very norty....@MotherofTerriers lots of people came on here to gloat say they had got the bag at the time. Who knows if they were in fact lying liars?! Grin

AprilLady · 04/07/2023 19:37

@MotherofTerriers @SpongeBobJudgeyPants really, really sorry if that’s how it came across, I hadn’t meant to gloat. Just thought some of the newer joiners to the thread would be interested to see what the discussion was about.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 04/07/2023 20:11

Sorry @AprilAprilLady I was teasing. Faffed about at the time because of the blue colour, as i don't really wear it. Then thought jeans. By then, it was too late! Snooze you lose!

MotherofTerriers · 04/07/2023 20:38

Sorry@AprilLady i was just teasing.

PomRuns · 04/07/2023 21:38

@AprilLady I just noticed in your pic the corner is a bit blue? Mine is too and I thought something had stained it but it must be the design??

MavisMcMinty · 04/07/2023 22:07

For those talking about SPF, Ultrasun has a TSV on QVC at £32 for two face SPFs, a body SPF and an After Sun in a choice of Tan (tinted face SPF30 and tan accelerator body SPF) and Family. It’s what I use all summer, and this is a very good deal, their Face SPF creams are usually about £20-£25 for 50mls.

Great! Thanks to the person who replied up thread that I’ll get the July box. Is there ever a hint about what’s coming up, or is it always a suprise?

MavisMcMinty · 05/07/2023 02:58

If you want to be surprised, don’t read this thread for a day or two before it’s due. I was planning on keeping mine for another week unopened, as a birthday pressie to myself, but I’ve bought so many presents for me already, I might as well open it when it arrives, I’ve been so good at not opening all the others.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 05/07/2023 09:20

Which one are you doing the spoiler for @MavisMcMinty ?

MavisMcMinty · 05/07/2023 11:21

Just the Beauty Drop one, and that’s mainly so I don’t have to hide from this thread for a week!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 05/07/2023 12:18

Oh, ok. I got mine early once, and was badgered to put photos on!

Golly, you've got good self control!
I usually tear mine open the minute I've closed the door to the postman

MavisMcMinty · 06/07/2023 14:21

Advent calendars are the hardest to resist opening early.

Peridot1 · 06/07/2023 15:52

I don’t find it hard to resist opening an advent calendar as i so enjoy the morning ritual of opening it through December. I’d hate to spoil that process.

Same here :)

Blossomtoes · 06/07/2023 16:10

Me too. I’ve never felt the slightest temptation to open it other than a day at a time. In fact I forget sometimes and find myself opening two or three at once.

redredwineub40 · 06/07/2023 17:06

Ha, I’ve been tempted before, especially since many school Christmas events seem to happen from mid Nov on…

PomRuns · 06/07/2023 18:38

Need a November calendar too ??

MotherofTerriers · 06/07/2023 19:20

I quite like one in January when all the Christmas fun is over and its cold and dark......

MavisMcMinty · 06/07/2023 19:26

You can get 12-day advent calendars, but I never quite know when you’re supposed to start and finish opening them.

Peridot1 · 06/07/2023 20:10

@MavisMcMinty - I got a 12 day one once and started it on Xmas day. It was nice to have something for the 12 days of Xmas heading to 6th Jan.
