Oooh I’ve got that hair brush - it’s amazing!! Agree I’ve bought a lot of hair brushes and that is the best one. I have got Davines too, thanks I’ll get it out of the drawer!

anybody have fine bleached easy to break hair and found a hero product? Love blonde highlights but always trashes my hair!

The Redken Extreme range is really good. I use their shampoo and conditioner and their anti-snap treatment (lookfantastic is usually the cheapest place to buy it).

I hate the Davines all-in-one milk. It makes my hair feel hard and dry. So many people on here seem to rave it but for my fine, flyaway highlighted hair (that's prone to breakage), it's literally the worst product I've ever used. I actually binned it, it was that bad!

I’ve been looking at jewellery for using my credit, I really like a lot of the earrings in this brand Alexis Bittar. Do you think they’ll do another jewellery advent calendar too? https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/brands/a/alexis-bittar/

MavisMcMinty · 21/05/2023 04:28

Jewellery advent calendars? OMG! Surely that’d be a) extraordinarily expensive (especially from Liberty) and b) a bit of a risk as jewellery is such a personal thing?

BakeOffRewatch · 21/05/2023 09:36

They did one last year for £845. I think the value was inflated a bit. Some lucky people on this thread got it in the sale for an absolute bargain (think about £150). https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/features/fashion/jewellery-advent-calendar.html

”How Much Is the Liberty 12 Days of Jewellery Calendar?Offering exceptional value, the brand new Liberty 12 Days of Jewellery Calendar costs only £845, yet houses over £1,400 of incredible jewellery finds from all four corners of our iconic jewellery hall.”

MavisMcMinty · 21/05/2023 14:38

Wow, thanks!

redredwineub40 · 21/05/2023 16:52

Oh I hope they do - I missed the jewellery
advent in the sale but there were great bargains

I am so impressed with the Ultra Violette sunscreen. Outstanding performance and I'm paler than death with sensitive skin.

I’ve gone off it. It makes my skin too greasy (the ultimate one I actually prefer the purple one)

MavisMcMinty · 25/05/2023 10:54

Ooh, I have that sunscreen in my stash, must give it a go. I use Ultrasun tinted on hot sunny days, because you only have to apply it once a day, it’s my moisturiser and foundation in summer, and I can take it all over my eyes without any reaction.

I’ve been using a Dr Dennis Gross SPF which I really don’t like, and now have a few dry scaly patches on my neck and face, so have chucked the rest.

wheresmyshoe · 25/05/2023 11:01

Mine is the lean screen purple one @EasterIssland

redredwineub40 · 25/05/2023 12:32

I do like tinted spf - have nars and skinceuticals ones on the go.

I can't get into mine. It's reef safe so I'm saving it for when I go on holiday then will cut it open and use then.

wheresmyshoe · 25/05/2023 15:56

Get someone to give the tube a really hard squeeze while you pump it @SwordBilledHummingbird great advice from another poster

SwordBilledHummingbird · 25/05/2023 16:00

@wheresmyshoe Thanks! I may keep it for holiday use anyway but it'd be good if I can avoid cutting it open either way.

wheresmyshoe · 25/05/2023 16:03

It works perfectly after that one time massive squeeze @SwordBilledHummingbird

BCSurvivor · 31/05/2023 10:47

Well, I bit the bullet and signed up today!
I've been umming and ahhing for about a year, but seeing the contents of the April box swayed it for me, as I would have loved everything.
I've got in a bit of a mid life, post cancer style rut in the last few years, and don't really spend much on beauty, so I'm hoping this will kickstart a new me :)
I'm assuming the first box will be sent in July?

Cyclingmummy1 · 31/05/2023 10:57

@BCSurvivor you will probably get the last one as well.

BCSurvivor · 31/05/2023 11:04

Ooohh, that would be an added bonus!
I thought it was sent out in April?
That would be brilliant x

Peridot1 · 31/05/2023 13:37

@BCSurvivor - I joined up in early December and they sent me the October box which I wasn’t expecting. Was a lovely surprise.

MavisMcMinty · 31/05/2023 13:41

I realise there’s a huge mark-up for Liberty beauty products individually, but their Beauty Drop subscription scheme really is a winner, the £20 a month remains your money and the 3-monthly drops are just a bonus, it’s brilliant!

Mystery2345 · 31/05/2023 18:41

I've just left the Beauty Drop. I think it's a good deal if you are definitely going to spend the money in Liberty anyway, but I have had to cut back my monthly outgoings and £20 to Liberty seems a good one to do. I have so many samples/GWP to use up that I will enjoy those now.

MavisMcMinty · 31/05/2023 18:45

I see it as a way of paying for the Liberty advent calendar, although will only have £100 or so credit when it rolls round later this year.

Me too. I caved earlier in the year and bought a necklace but I'm on track now to have around £160 for the calendar which makes it affordable to pay the extra. It's a beauty Christmas savings scheme!

LoveLabradors · 01/06/2023 08:52

Sale now on. I just got two beautiful Liberty x Pooky gold Hera lampshades half price. I’ve been admiring them for ages so was delighted to pounce on them. Do remember beauty drop credit can be used on anything not just beauty.
I also got an invite to an in store sale party with cocktails, bah I wish I lived in London.
