Thanks @RudolfsLeftToe . I love a princessing thread!

TragicMuse · 24/04/2023 18:15

I gave the Seated Queen pot from the advent calendar to my mum, she loves a cold cream! And now I have a tu e for myself, which is a win.

The sample was nice enough but hard to gauge properly with such a small amount.

SweetSakura · 25/04/2023 09:50

Just seeing if people have got the email today with the skincare sets?

I have way too much skincare still to try from previous boxes but they might be of interest to others

SwordBilledHummingbird · 25/04/2023 09:58

I've just received the email about the skincare kits. I was pretty excited at first as I'd love another Liberty wash bag but I don't think any of the kits really works for me.

Mystery2345 · 25/04/2023 10:05

I've had the skin kits email - one supposedly is worth £269 and costs £55, another worth £150 and costs £50, Slightly odd pricing and I wonder how much they value the liberty wash bag at. Anyway, not for me as I don't need more products nor specifically have the issues they are targetting.

Pigtailsandall · 25/04/2023 10:10

I didn't get these emails - would someone mind linking the kits? I'm a sucker for nice skincare sets

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 25/04/2023 10:53

I'm tempted; I have some credit in the pot and I do like a skincare bargain. Plus I just (slightly reluctantly) gave teenage DD an unopened Ultra Violette from my advent stash, so I was planning to replace that anyway...

Oh hang on, I'm logged in but it says out of stock. Already?!

WhatHoMarjorie · 25/04/2023 10:54

looks like the hyperpigmentation kit has sold out.

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 25/04/2023 10:56

Fgs. I know these things are popular but what's the point in launching a kit with so little stock that an hour after 'early access' opens, it's gone?

Ah well, I've saved fifty quid.

Pigtailsandall · 25/04/2023 10:57

@WhatHoMarjorie Thank you!

Yes me too. I don’t understand this at all. Are they being limited to one per customer or are they being bulk bought to resell do you think?

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 25/04/2023 11:13

Maybe it's a temporary glitch.

But if not, I wonder if it was only ever there in tiny numbers to create a buzz? The 'value' was noticeably so much higher than the other two kits, it surprised me that the price was almost the same.

Maybe from Liberty's POV, the other two are the core of the promotion and the third one was just an attention-grabber/loss leader, helping pull people onto the site. Then once it's sold out, they're hoping shoppers with FOMO will panic-buy one of the other kits that costs a bit less to produce.

... That, or I'm a beauty-kit conspiracy theorist who should really be getting on with some actual work

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 25/04/2023 11:17

Ah it's back! <discards tinfoil hat>

RedCarsGoFaster · 25/04/2023 11:18

The hyperpigmentatiom set is available again as I've just bought it!

Babysharkdoodoodood · 25/04/2023 11:18

Hyperpigmentation still showing in stock for me, but I don't need it.

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 25/04/2023 11:22

I've bought it too, hurrah. Looking forward to trying the sunscreen.

Might need to do some kind of penitential offering to the Liberty gods for doubting them.

MavisMcMinty · 25/04/2023 11:38

I’m always tempted by stuff with 80% off, but wouldn’t say I have any of those particular skin types, so not for me, not this time.

Pigtailsandall · 25/04/2023 11:46

I'm very tempted by the sensitive skin set, but slightly miffed that the "value" is not as great as the hyperpigmentation set. Maybe I should just be glad I don't have hyperpigmentation!!
Do you need to pay for delivery too? (I'm so stingy)

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 25/04/2023 11:51

Tbh I wouldn’t have said I have hyperpigmentation as a dominant skin issue either!

But given my age and the specifics of those products, I know I’ll still find them useful.

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 25/04/2023 11:53

Delivery is free for Beauty Drop members, @Pigtailsandall — really useful as there doesn’t seem to be a threshold for it at all.

MavisMcMinty · 25/04/2023 12:14

Still thinking about the hyperpigmentation one, gotta admit. It’s the saving! No will power here. And I have £40 credit, although was saving my credit for the advent calendar. Aargh! Help me be strong!

Pigtailsandall · 25/04/2023 12:23

How much is the advent calendar?
I have £100 credit so totally affordable to get the kit, but I'm saving for a perfume which is like £160 hmmm.....

MavisMcMinty · 25/04/2023 12:23

Tsk. I only went and bought it. Can’t resist the “saving”.

MavisMcMinty · 25/04/2023 12:25

I think someone said £240 - handily a year’s-worth of £20/month subscriptions! I’m brand new to the beauty drop, though.
