Just opened mine and I'm not that excited either.

Small spoiler below:

The soap is from a brand that I really like but Liberty don't actually stock them anymore. In fact, there are no UK stockists of this brand, so even if I love it as much as I love their candles, I can't purchase it. I won't comment on the other items until more people have received their boxes.

wheresmyshoe · 18/04/2023 12:07

I also use it to save for the advent calendar. My box is 83 stops away! There are two products I'm very keen to try and a couple of bankers in handy sizes for travel so I'm happy.

SweetSakura · 18/04/2023 12:17

Just pondering, while I wait, what would you most love to see in a box , and what do you tend to feel least excited by?

For me-i love stuff like eye masks , hair product, bath or shower products, perfumes or body lotions. I'd love a scented candle /sleep mask/hair accessories as a great.

I'm really not excited generally by skin care, my skin is so sensitive I tend to use nothing other than water on it. I wouldn't mind make up removers /cleansers I guess. I had the elemis rose make up balm in another beauty subscription and buy that regularly now (mainly to wipe off the awful "makeovers" my nine year old gives me Grin )

Peridot1 · 18/04/2023 12:18

I’m pretty happy with the contents. Nothing I won’t use.

This is my first year doing the Beauty Drop and I’m saving it for the Advent Calendar. And if I don’t fancy that when it comes out I’m sure I’ll find something to buy! Something in the sale probably.

The boxes are a nice bonus for me and as I said there isn’t anything I won’t use.

WhatHoMarjorie · 18/04/2023 12:22

Soaps and hand creams are my least favourite products. I'm easily pleased otherwise.

CinnamonCoffee · 18/04/2023 12:37

The box is great but that 1ml sample is pointless.
I want the advent calendar but I've also been wanting earrings for ages but are so expensive. So I need to decide which I want most!

I have these in silver and I adore them them. Smile

HumourReplacementTherapy · 18/04/2023 13:24

I'm really disappointed in the box. I thought I must have been missing a key item or something but no
It's not very exciting
I am Hoping you can all convince me otherwise!
I have Shaun leane hooks and talons @CinnamonCoffee
I love them. DH bought them the last two Christmas' and I was a very happy bunny indeed. They look great together or just a set at a time. Hoping for a stud (earring .... I mean..... I'll keep the jewellery buying dh Grin) this Xmas.

I’m a bit like @SweetSakura in my likes and dislikes. Mine has just arrived. I’ve been avoiding this thread until now so I could be surprised
Here’s what I think of it

i will definitely use the shampoo as I wanted to try another Davines product as I loved the OI oil in the advent calendar
I love bars of soap a lot.
im not a big fan of the cold cream. I’m currently using the one from the advent calendar anyway
Im happy with the skincare as it allows me to find out if my skin hates them without wasting any money.
Overall a good box I think although they forgot to put in the Shower cap I wanted 😢
Looks like I’ll actually have to buy one.
I’m using the credit to save for the advent calendar.

pink1173 · 18/04/2023 13:47

Just received my box and am
loving it! I went to Liberty in the half term
with my 14 year old daughter who is obsessed with skin care. I had £90 credit and she bought the large jar of Sol de Janiero Bum Bum cream, I bought some eye masks and we bought some Coronation biscuits in a tin! We will save up for another few months and go again. It’s a great way of saving money to go and have a carefree spend when we go to London. It’s also such a lovely experience in the actual shop- I just love it in there!

EasterIssland · 18/04/2023 14:05

Im mainly disappointed they’re sending now

  1. Leftovers or same product different format to the Xmas calendar
  2. Small size samples of products. With a few ml I’m not going to know whether I like the product and buy it from you
  3. Hair products.
Veryfishy · 18/04/2023 14:07

Hmmm , just tried to track my parcel and apparently my pots code isn’t recognised

WhatHoMarjorie · 18/04/2023 14:11

Mine arrived an hour ago despite it saying it was still at the depot when only an hour before that. So the tracking system seems to be a bit skew-whiff.

Mercurial123 · 18/04/2023 14:12

I'm really pleased with this box. Though to be fair, I like all the boxes. It's free, so I'm not complaining. Anything I don't like I give to friends.

redredwineub40 · 18/04/2023 14:49

Pretty pleased here, I do like all of the products though and nothing I wouldn’t use.

SoloCat · 18/04/2023 15:18

Ducksinthebath · 18/04/2023 09:12

Mine has been at the depot for two days now 😭 probably because it knows I’m on a work trip for a week from tomorrow morning.

I kid myself I’ll but the advent calendar with my credit then just buy all sorts through the year, usually the day before I get topped up meaning I spend more each time.

And I’m now on my third air freshener.

Oh yes..re air freshener. I ended up buying a box of them, DH loved the one I had, but gave him the diesel one out of the box..seemed fitting, as he’s a complete petrol head 😊
I’ve been using the Brooklyn wild lavender…definitely not as potent as Big Sur after Rain!

CinnamonCoffee · 18/04/2023 16:01

I think I may have to get both the calendar and the earrings then 🙀🙀
Maybe treat myself at Christmas because why not

CinnamonCoffee · 18/04/2023 16:04

@HumourReplacementTherapy I'll never afford a stud! Off men atm anyways 😂😂

MavisMcMinty · 18/04/2023 16:34

Those earrings are lovely!

Got my (first ever) box today and am delighted with it! I’ll use (or try) everything in it, and needed a new soap for the bathroom. I’ve already used the 1ml sample, just put it on over the moisturiser I’d slapped on over last night’s moisturiser, so am unlikely to be able to notice any effects, and it doesn’t smell nice anyway. Even the postage box is pretty on the inside, and I’ll keep it to send to a friend (refilled with some of my hundreds of unwanted goodies, obviously).

SweetSakura · 18/04/2023 17:08

I got the box today and I think it's a good mixture Smile

If you unfold the box and fold it all back on itself you get the inside in the outside! Makes a pretty storage box.

Peridot1 · 18/04/2023 17:17

I’m really liking those earrings too…..

Housewife2010 · 18/04/2023 17:50

I think it's really nice. I've been a subscriber since the beginning so I've had all the boxes. I'm not bothered about the size of the 1ml sachet as I'm thinking of that as an extra rather than one of the 5 main items. I'll eBay the eye mask, but everything else will used.
I like the idea of having a candle in a future box. I always love perfume and makeup too. I've used the Seated Queen Cold Cream before. On dry skin it's a lovely overnight mask (or what used to be called a night cream!😉).My face felt so silky when I rinsed it off in the morning.

Mixed feelings on this box. The contents aren’t particularly exciting, with only the soap being something I haven’t tried before. And a 1ml sachet 🤷‍♀️That said, I’ll use everything except the eye mask, and the SR product is one I use regularly in any event. Also quite good, if there is a hair product, to get a shampoo for a change rather than a mask or leave in conditioner.

Overall value also seems a bit low. I appreciate the c£300 is an annual amount, but it’s roughly £75 per box. By my calculations, the notional RRP “value” of this one is more like £50.
