as it's an official pic they might have been a bit overzealous with the photoshopping

LadyEloise1 · 02/03/2023 16:45

She may be like me and get horribly allergic occasionally to an eye make up product where my eye lids and the surrounding areas swell up and go red and puffy.
I never know when it will happen - I could have been using that product for ages and boom ! Suddenly the allergy occurs.

justasking111 · 02/03/2023 17:07

Urban decay eyeliner 🙈 my eyelids peeled off quite painful.

If I had scissors I'd be cutting off all Kate's pussy bows.

Maireas · 02/03/2023 17:22

Kate looks good in the green suit, MM lovely in red. I like Kate's tonal blouse, although I'm not keen on those pussy bows, either, @justasking111

MM’s red dress is lovely, I like the colour of Kate’s outfit, but not the fussy bow. Eye- early hay fever?

<passes scissors to @justasking111>

Pussy bows are yet more flounce and fuss. Awful. What is wrong with a plain silk blouse?!

Papergirl1968 · 02/03/2023 18:18

Hate pussycat bows.
Hate leggings with stilettos.
Especially hate pleather-look leggings.

Maireas · 02/03/2023 18:47

Yes, I don't like leggings with stilettos either.
Even if the stilettos are Dior and the leggings similar top designer.
I do like a Carolina Herrera camel coat, though!

Mary in Max Mara.

EBG trouser suit - is it linen? Something about the cut doesn't look right to me and I'm not keen on the colour. I've liked all her other outfits recently and I want her Etro coat 😍

frugalkitty · 02/03/2023 19:13

I saw the MM and Hottie pics earlier and just knew I'd have a mention or two on here! To be fair, I neeed to swap a couple of duvets round so had to rejig the airing cupboard, hence letting my captive free 😂😂

Maireas · 02/03/2023 19:17

I wondered if you had him fitted with some sort of electronic gizmo - after the photoshoot he was automatically taken back chez @frugalkitty

Hate Mary's crumpled mustard suit and wasn't keen on her art teacher caftan the other day either.

StartupRepair · 02/03/2023 19:57

A reminder of why would I even try with linen when it looks like this on someone slim, rich and styled.

paradyning · 02/03/2023 21:03

LadyEloise1 · 02/03/2023 14:59

Does anyone else think Kate looks different there ?
Perhaps a tweakment too far - am
I allowed say that on this thread ?

Yes! My first thought was this.
My second thought was ffs it's not St. Patrick's day yet

KillingMeDeftly · 02/03/2023 22:34

She's not royal but I just saw this pic of Michelle Williams in a hat that will inspire white-hot jealousy in Maxima. She's going to have to upgrade the Pringle in order to compete!

Maireas · 02/03/2023 22:44

🤣🤣 that's brilliant!
Max would totally be able to carry that off!

paradyning · 02/03/2023 22:45

@KillingMeDeftly Grin

Spudlet · 02/03/2023 22:46

If there was a strong gust of wind, Max would be carried off 😂

Re the EBG’s linen look - I always love linen. For the first 20 seconds after I put it on. Then I end up looking like an elephant’s leg, with all the wrinkles. Glad it’s not just me…

TangledWebOfDeception · 03/03/2023 12:18

I don’t mind crumpled linen - it’s inherent to the fabric so becomes acceptable, IMO. And I quite like the chilled vibe it gives off. But I prefer dresses as trousers do look rather unappealing with all the creases in that area.

Going back to MM’s outfit, I like the separates well enough and I think they could each be made to work rather well paired with the right piece.

Love that ginormous —UFO— hat!

I swear to god if this is the year where Kate finally wears something other than green on St. Patrick’s day and I don’t get to share that truly momentous occasion with you all...well, I won’t be a happy bunny, that’s for sure!!

Mind you, it’s at least a tiny bit more likely now that MN hasn’t completely alienated me and scores of other women, so that’s a positive development. Waiting for some specific answers on various issues before I decide if I should go or stay.

TangledWebOfDeception · 03/03/2023 12:50

Hint to Kate: ONE element in green would be acceptable. The less prominent the better.

Exception to prominence rule: Proper Bling would get a big thumbs up - that’s really your best option. Something ‘new but old/unseen for a long time’ would be fantastic.

Shoes OR boots OR scarf OR hat OR bag, might be okay but gets no points compared to proper blingy jewellery which would earn you many.

Clothing, no. Coat, definite no!

Challenge proposed: a new pair of footwear completely out of your usual mould! Low to mid heel would earn you bonus points.

pussycatinfluffyslippers · 03/03/2023 13:20

That green blouse Kate is wearing is hideous. It looks like a cheap polyester satin thing from the market c1982.

Somebody needs to raid her wardrobe armed with very sharp snippy scissors ✂

TangledWebOfDeception · 03/03/2023 13:21

Nooo!! Raid it, and deliver all items confiscated to me!

LadyEloise1 · 03/03/2023 15:22

Ah no @TangledWebOfDeception Kate has to wear a green coat on St Patrick's Day !
It's a tradition.
She is Colonel of the Regiment. --

It doesn't have to be a new coat though-- Smile

TangledWebOfDeception · 03/03/2023 15:28

I suppose I do have to give you that.

Ok green coat is acceptable. BUT NO OTHER GREEN in the outfit or accessories.

NADA. NOTHING.

Proper bling excepted as there's always a free pass on that.

Also, no cop out of just green and black or anything predictable like that. At least 3 different colours (I know black isn't isn't strictly a colour but YKWIM).

(The irony is I absolutely love green. One of my most favourite colours.)
