What have you bought recently that was worth every penny?

For me a Frandsen puffer coat that kept me warm in the very cold weather

These beauties from Fairfax and Favor in the sale. Not practical but very beautiful.

zara boucle jacket ( pre loved)
John Lewis Anyday straight leg jeans
Longchamp Filet bag ( can’t wait to use this more in nicer weather)

Saw a recommendation on here for No 7 Essentially Natural foundation.
It's very light, nice and moisturising, has SPF 15, and is the cheapest in their range [and currently on special offer]
I'm really, really impressed with this, way better than some much spendier products.

Last year, but I was thinking just yesterday how good it is and will definitely replace it when it runs out - Pram neck and decolletage cream.

Clothes - M&S merino jumpers and cardigans. Really nice and a good price - much nicer than their cashmere.

And a Vivienne Westwood bag and scarf, neither of which I needed and neither of them brilliant quality for the price, but both giving me a lot of happiness.

Russell and Bromley boots in the sale. I don’t need them, but oh i love them!

Washable & tumble dryable.
They feel so good on ... even with flu- so soft & comforting.

L’Occitane Overnight Reset Serum after I was given a sample sachet. I needed to up the moisturiser having purchased a new retinol product and most serums disagree with my skin, but this one is fabulous.

This red coat from Next. It is absolutely beautiful and looks far more expensive than it is.

The Ordinary retinol - can't really say whether it makes my skin better but it's so nice applying it every evening.

White coton gloves to sleep at night - I apply olive oil or hand cream (without alcohol) at night and wake up with baby hands. Very important to wash them after 1 use, so I have like 5 pairs.

Love Tint by Benefit - the ideal build-up lip ink. Nice colour, can be outrageous or just a nice soft tint. It disappears nicely and evenly. It just fades away. Can also be used on the cheeks (but I don't because I already have my dream blush by Glossier)

Navy lambwool jumper from Country of Origin. Just the perfect oversized cut, great quality, and 100% wool.

On the other hand, I can tell you what I love but hasn't improved my looks at all: a puppy.
I'm sleep deprived, got bite scars on my hands, and I basically live in jeans, big coat and muddy boots.

A jumper - I've been looking for a shorter jumper with extra long sleeves for ages - there it was at Arket, it's all wool and soooooo warm.

These Carhartt dungarees. They're insanely comfortable, have endless pockets & (I think) pretty flattering - at least, lots of people have admired them. I've worn them pretty much non-stop since I got them, & have just bought a 2nd pair so I can have one on one in the wash (& so they'll last longer)

Fleeced winter leggings from Love Leggings (influenced by a couple of instagrammers but so glad I was as they are the cosiest things ever)

I spent a very unreasonable amount on a very thick cashmere cardi. In my defence, it was Christmas money and I've been years wanting a really thick, chunky, luxury cashmere but never found the right one till now. When the delivery man gave me the package and it was heavy I knew it was going to be good, and I luuurve it 😍

A ribbed cashmere hoodie from Lilysilk. I bloody love a cashmere hoody and this one is my favourite of them all.

The ‘aster’ coat from LK Bennett. Finally, a longish wool coat that has enough flex that I can drive in it. Also, I got it in a bright green which suits my skin and sends a metaphorical 🖕🏻to winter.

A waxed cotton bag from Ally Capelli. I needed a bag for my more casual outfits because my leather ones were a bit too formal for e.g. my puffer coats. It is beautifully made, exactly the right size and I’ve been surprised that it doesn’t just do casual but also crosses over to smart-casual well too.

A camel oversize full length coat from boohoo. It's not lined unfortunately but I love it
