What have you bought recently that was worth every penny?

For me a Frandsen puffer coat that kept me warm in the very cold weather

I've had a lot of luck with shoes recently - I pondered over some NB trainers and finally got them in a cream colourway and they are so comfortable. Also black Chelsea boots - they are quite basic but exactly what I needed, and after wearing them 2 days in a row they are so comfortable.

This cream blush from Sainsbury’s for £3.

Never used a cream blush before and my word who knew £3 could transform me from tired corpse husk to radiant fecund maiden with just a couple of mini blobs on the face and a quick fanny about with a brush.

A fine knit navy hooded jumper with a big cream star on the front and cream stripes on the bottom of the sleeves from Tesco-absolutely love it, and am trying not to live in it!

This coat arrived today (in rust) and I’m really pleased with it, I had a no spend January so have been waiting to buy it for a month and it’s extra satisfying.

Fat Face Flannel Shirt

Ordered this as a bit of a joke! (I was the only person at Christmas lunch not in a checked shirt) bit I love it. Good thick cotton flannel, good length, really warm. I've been washing it and pulling it out of the ironing pile to wear again and again.

Chocolate brown alpaca sweater in the Toast sale. Really cosy and versatile.

Two pairs of cotton jeans-style trousers from New Look (!!) - one pair navy and one green. I wear them endlessly, so comfy and much more flattering than jeans.

Smythson card holder thingy in scarlet, feels so luxurious every time I use it. Not cheap for what it is, but hopefully will last for years.

I bought some Dr Marten Sinclairs on Monday, been trying to wear them in, thought I might be able to wear them
on Saturday to meet my friend. Bless me! I've already got huge blisters on each heel for wearing them for about 30 minutes.

Bought some knee high boots from a charity shop for £10 which I'm in love with

Also a black jersey Stradivarius mini skirt with a split from Vinted.

A pair of comfort walk knee high wedge faux suede khaki boots £4.99 from charity shop. So easy to wear and so comfortable. Don't feel like I'm in boots at all and give me a nice bit of height. Very happy with this impulse buy.

I also bought the Zara Marine straight jeans. Love love them. Actually bought them in a blue and went back for the black. They are fab <modest> on my pear shape.

Sizing - I’m between a 10 and a 12. Got a 10 in the blue, 12 in the black. The black 12 is a bit big but the 10 cut off my circulation at cheese-mas. And ain’t no one got time for that. So I would say true to size.
