Why is a proper cool toned lipstick so hard to find these days?

Anything with a hint of warmth is useless on me and makes me look very 'odd' 🙄 Even MAC doesn't have anything suitable, they're all too warm or too nude.

I got a Bourjois one this morning which I think will be ok, properly pink.

Primark used to be fantastic for lip crayons which were fantastic pinky nudes but no more 🙄

Am I missing somewhere obvious I should be looking? Even Rimmel Asia is no good for me but Soft Hearted is.

I find it easier to find cool shades in darker pinks and reds. It's much harder with nude/lighter shades.
There's a shade called 'Like' by Glossier which is a nice cool pink. I also like Revlon Pink in the Afternoon even though it's almost peachy and probably not cool at all. It looks nice on me in the summer.

There are a few Revlon shades in their glosses and liquid lipsticks which are nice and cool.

Max factor pearly nude works for me

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 28/01/2023 21:59

If you want a pale pink, I wear this in the Spring and it’s lovely, then Rimmel
Airy Fairy is lovely and is cool toned.

Have you looked at mauve tones?

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 29/01/2023 08:53

NARS Dolce Vita might work.

Sorry. Thread was late catching up. I'm cool toned and am matched up to EL cool vanilla and No7 cool ivory. I have a few favourites but I don't really wear shades that are very nude as I just look dead. At the moment I'm loving L'Oréal color riche (gold tube) in 129 Montmartle its a mauvey pink. I've also got 110 Made in Paris which is a mauvy brown, a darker hue. 137 Berry Parisienne, a muted Berry shade and 133 Rosewood Nonchalant a pink Berry shade. I'm also reaching for my Max Factor colour exlir cushion lipgloss in Splendor chic a soft mauve. There's also Clinique Even better pop lip colour foundation lipstick in 07 Blush. A deep pink. Very natural.

L'Oreal lipsticks make itch unfortunately, which is a shame as some of their colours are great. Mind you,not tried one recently so willing to give them a go. I like the look of the max factor one.

The Max factor ones are very nice. I have 3 in total. A coral and a dark berry. They take a bit of squeezing to start off but they smell good and look nice. They've got nude ones too.

I sent for the Bourjois one. Perfect colour, stinks of perfume.

Imediate allergic reaction😟

What about Clinique colour pop in nude pop. The reviews for it are really good.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 30/01/2023 08:14

Clinique colours in general look encouraging.

WombatBombat · 30/01/2023 08:28

Can’t help as I’m warm toned but Emily Innes on Instagram has got a few saved posts and story highlights on best neutral lipsticks for summer & winter colours ie cool toned people.

Sparkletastic · 30/01/2023 08:54

Have a look at Lisa Eldridge's range. She does some fantastic shades and the performance is second to none.
